~Parables~
~Divine Inspiration With An Earthly Story~ ( Parables ) "Christ taught in parables to invite us to reexamine some of our most cherished convictions about matters of 'Eternal Importance'. For this is the reason Jesus’s parables often unsettle rather than reassure." (Know this and know it well. A parable, or an allegory story designed to illustrate or teach a moral lesson...to convey a meaning indirectly by use of comparison.) "Ponder these words carefully."........The Divine words tell us precisely...what you see is not what is meant...'They look and look, but do not see.' ( "The parable is, has been and always will be, the language of the wise for speaking to the simple, and the language of the simple for speaking to the wise…" "To...
All of us who love the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul should be a living sacrifice before God the Father. Be present when someone is in need. Specially if their need is Jesus. Emptiness of heart, loneliness of life and worry are signs someone need us. Let your day flow with grace, mercy and love coming from Jesus heart. Surrender to the Lord everything you have. He will come to you and bless your life. Give yourself to prayer and love your neighbor as yourself.
A Prayer for When You Are Anxious By Wendy van Eyck I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me (Song of Solomon 7:10). Abba, I Belong To You! When I first read about the following prayer in in a book by Brennan Manning called, “The Furious Longing of God,” I thought it sounded too simple but I gave it a try anyway. This prayer has changed me. This 5-word prayer has become my "go-to" prayer anytime I feel anxious. · Driving to the oncologist to get scan results: Abba, I belong to you. · Waking in the middle of the night with concerns about work or finances: Abba, I belong to you. · Worrying over a relationship that is struggling to work: Abba, I belong to you. · Praying for a friend: Abba, [insert name of friend] belongs to you. As...
Sometimes I have situations{and I guess some of you have , too}where someone asks me to do something for them that actually ENABLES them in their sin, and I don't think it goes under the heading of "helping" them.Like, I've had people who were maybe a little under the weather and asked me to get them cigarettes.I've even had a neighbor hooked on drugs whose car was in the shop and wanted me to take him to his dealer to get his "fix",or lend him money to get the drugs!!I had women who asked me to mail something supporting abortion. Now the question is,although we're supposed to "help", define help.If we're making it easier for them to engage in a certain sin,is that really helping them? And is it good for us, spiritually, to assist them in...
No one else on earth can bless us like Jesus does. He is alive and well and want us all in heaven. This world is not our home, everything we have God has given to us to glorify His name. His eyes are on this child. He has chosen us from the begining of the earth. Just bow down before Him and adore His holy name. O Lord, You are so kind and good to all of us. Your face o Lord I shall seek. Day and night I shall call on your holy name. You will never ever ignore us or reject us. Thank you so much, we love You Father. we praise You Lord. We shall ever be grateful for healing me from cancer.
~What Is It That You Have Learned~
"When you read 'words' of great importance, such as pertaining to life morality, and the opportunity how to acquire this, but refuse to apply what you learned from the 'words'...what you have acquired, would seem to be some intellectual knowledge, with little worth. When one can honestly share the worth of 'words' read from the pages, in ones own personal experience of how life has improved in some way... then a valuable lesson has been applied and learned. It is said...to pass the test, one has to learn to apply the lesson. Not one of us shall begin to completely accomplish all that Christ laid out, pertaining to how our life should be conducted. Make no mistake...from this side of the 'glass' is not to judge nor offend, but to share...
Jesus has sent us here to earth to be a blessing to everyone we know and meet wherever we are. So, let us look at our stages in life God has given to us. A. Teen age.... Have time, energy and no money unless you take a part time job. This is the time to find out what life is all about and where we shall go. Trust Jesus to show you where you will be 30 years from now. B. Working age..... Have money, energy but no time. Full of stress, worry and fear of loosing our job. This is a wonderful time to find our the will of the Father. He will show us what to do with everything we worry about. c. Old age.... Have time, money and no energy. This is the time to ponder, to seek, to find out where you will spend eternity. How you...
