Obeying God (5) Saturday 15th December 2018 'God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise.' 1 Corinthians 1:27 NCV When we rely too much on the approval of others, God's limited in what he can do through us. Having faith often means we'll look foolish or illogical to the world. Think about how faithful biblical characters would have appeared from the world's perspective: Noah built a boat in the desert; 90-year-old Sarah believed she could have a baby; Moses asked Pharaoh to let his slaves go; the Israelite army marched round Jericho blowing trumpets; David took on Goliath with just a slingshot; Peter stepped out of a boat in a storm. And to those who didn't understand, it made no sense for Jesus to be hanging on...
I just wondered why people feel they have a meaningless life on earth? Why everything they do is not working right? Why others do not care or love what they are doing? Whey they go to bed they cannot sleep well. When at work, no one notices what we are doing. Want to find out why this things happens in our life? We need the touch of the Master. He will fix our problems and fill our heart with joy. Something needs to happen inside of us. To find that out we need to call on the Lord day and night. Fill my heart with Thy love o my Lord and my Savior today and forever more. Jesus savior of my soul, I need today and I will need you in the future. He is the Savior and Lord of everything we do. He sent us to this world to be a...
Obeying God (4) Friday 14th December 2018 'Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord.' Genesis 6:8 NIV The Hebrew word translated as favour is chen, which can also mean 'grace' or 'acceptance'. The first time the word 'favour' appears in the Bible is Genesis 6:8, telling us that 'Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord' (NIV). God had decided to destroy the inhabitants of earth because they'd become so corrupted. The only people spared were Noah and his family, because Noah was 'a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God' (Genesis 6:9 NLT). Noah hadn't allowed the world to influence him, instead staying true to God and obeying him, so God used him to...
Yes, the Lord is our hiding place. When we are going through a hard time and the boss is picking on us and mocking our faith in Jesus. Let us all run to the arms of the Lord and He will comfort our troubled soul. When our spouse tell us that she is leaving, our hearts should call on the Lord and He will fix our problem. When we lost our job and no money is coming in. Call on the Lord and He will bless your life. Amen
Offer yourselves as living sacrifice to God almighty. I know Thou art mine. He is so precious, He is so wonderful, He is so merciful and kind over those who love Him, praise Him and adore Him day and night till He call us home to heaven. Seek the Lord while He can be found. He is so precious, He is so tender. When we sin against Him, He comes along and touch our life and forgive our transgressions and cleanse our heart. Why should we lift our hands to Him? Why should we follow Him all the way to heaven? 1. Lift up your hands to God in thanksgiving and praise to Him because of the wonderful blessings He sent your way. Saving your soul is one of them. Answering all your prayers is another one. 2. I stand in awe of Him who...
Obeying God (3) Thursday 13th December 2018 'Noah...walked faithfully with God.' Genesis 6:9 NIV Can you imagine what must have gone through Noah's mind when God told him to build a massive boat in the middle of a desert? Maybe Noah wondered if he'd misheard. But we know that 'Noah did everything just as God commanded him' (Genesis 6:22 NIV). And he did it because he 'walked faithfully with God' (Genesis 6:9 NIV). Walking takes place step by step. But we tend to want God to show us the second step before we've taken the first. We'll only trust God as far as we can see. Ever watched a horse jumping competition? The horse can't see where it's going to land on the other side, and may be scared or unsure. To tackle it successfully...
Obeying God (2) Wednesday 12th December 2018 'By faith Noah...built an ark.' Hebrews 11:7 NIV Worshipping God includes prayer, praise, and singing worship songs. But, every activity we do, no matter how big or small, can be turned into an act of worship. Seeing worship from this perspective can have a huge influence on how we approach tasks, even the ones we don't like. God trusted Noah with building the ark, and Noah was faithful to God. Sawing planks and hammering nails was an act of obedience. If Noah could be faithful in that enormous, daunting project, surely we can be just as faithful in smaller things. There's an old poem that goes: 'For want of a nail the shoe was lost. For want of a shoe the horse was lost. For want of...
Come and quench this thristing of my soul. He alone can take away all sin and evil from our heart, mind and soul. Fill it up and make us all whole. He is our true leader who will lead us all to heaven. He wil satisfy the longings of your soul. He is our strong tower in which we stand. He is kind and good to those who love Him with all their heart mind and soul. He is thoughful of all our needs. He wants to bless our life. He is humble and true to His word. Lord, when you said to me. Seek My face. My inner being responded... I am seeking Your face with all of my heart. Psalm 27.8
Obeying God (1) Tuesday 11th December 2018 'Noah did everything just as God commanded him.' Genesis 6:22 NIV Imagine if God had asked you to build the ark, instead of Noah. What an incredibly daunting task! The ark was roughly the length of one-and-a-half football fields. Inside, it would have been about the same size as 350 buses. If we take the average animal to be the size of a sheep, the ark would have held around 125,000 animals. If you were under the same conditions as Noah then, as well as being tasked with building this immense structure, you'd have no power tools or machinery to help you build it. Most of us probably wouldn't even try if we were asked to take on the task; it seems impossible. But with God's help...
