Did Nicodemus get saved?

We all know the story of Nicodemus, and the conversation he had with Jesus. He came to Him in the night, saying, "I know that you have come from God, because nobody but someone from God can know the things You know, unless they be from God." And Jesus answered him, "Truly I say to you, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God." And he answered, "How can one be born again? Can one enter into his mother's womb a second time, when they are old?" And Jesus answered him, "You are a teacher of Israel and you do not know? What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is Spirit." Now, the Bible doesn't specifically state "Nicodemus was saved" after that, but I tend to think that he DID become saved, because later we see followers of Jesus, and Nicodemus was among them. {"###, who formerly had come to Him by night"} So did Nicodemus become saved? I would lean towards it. Anyone?

Nothing wrong with posting a question out of curiosity, or others giving their response to it. Putting a "gag order" on others, that's a little legalistic, wouldn't you say? God knows the heart, if it's asked out of curiosity, I don't see anything wrong with it. I didn't say it's up to me who gets saved, or that he should or shouldn't be. There's in fact a Christian site "got questions.org", which specializes in questions asked. And many televangelists address questions. God knows the heart, let Him judge the question.

Ask any question and Jesus will answer all of them. No one shall be rejected, no one shall be ignored. He knows our every thought and feelings. He knows our doubts and fears. He wants to fill the void that is down deep in our soul. Did Nicodemus get saved? Yes, he did. He believed in Jesus even though he was afraid other Jews will reject him for believing in the Lord. But we cannot judge anyone nor we can say for sure what God did to Nicodemus. All we can say is this. Jesus' merciful heart, full of compassion and care, loved Nicodemus and wanted Him to end up in heaven. I am sure he is there and when we get there we shall find it out for sure.

So sorry if I had hurt you. I never want to do that. I just quoted the verse as I felt that we do not know what God's judgment about a person is. We know He is a compassionate God, and at the same time He is a righteous judge. What I felt I wrote. That's all. Please forgive me if I had hurt you. My intention was not that at all.

Just saying..., each case is different. If indeed the person asking had a motive, like to "trip someone up", the response would be accurate, but in my case, it was more a curiosity thing, and I felt that if I posted it, some might have insight into it for an answer. That was my only intent.

If one of the condemned thieves on the cross next to Jesus was instantly saved with a word from Jesus when he was contrite, how much more so would have ### been since he believed, listened to, and followed Christ till his departure?

Luke 23:39-43
" One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: ‘Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!’ But the other criminal rebuked him. ‘Don’t you fear God,’ he said, ‘since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.’ Then he said, Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’Jesus answered him, ‘Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise. "

In John 7:50-51, ### spoke to a group of unbelieving Pharisees against unlawfully seizing Jesus.

"###, who had gone to Jesus earlier and who was one of their own number, asked, “Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing?” "

Later in John 19:39, after Jesus had been crucified, ### joined ### of ### in giving Jesus a traditional Jewish burial. ### “brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about ### pounds”.

"He was accompanied by ###, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. ### brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about ### pounds. "

If even ### wasn't willing to stick his neck out this far, for someone he truly and clearly believed was God, yet he was saved. Then surely ### wouldn't risk his high status, comfortable position, let alone his very own life to do all this for someone he had written off.

It does seem as though Nicodemus did become saved but what does that matter? Are you saved? Am I saved? Do we follow the teachings and instructions from Jesus or not? Do we give up our lives for the One that gave up His life for us and follow His teachings, His instructions for our lives? :)

Wonderful ideas, beautiful thoughts coming out of God's own heart to us. To reflect, to inquire, to seek. Jesus is the One whom we should follow and obey. Heaven and earth shall pass away. His words will never pass away.

So now asking a Biblically based question is a bad thing? What did I do that's so terrible?

Praise Jesus fam. Pray with me that my ### will gain self awareness and accept Jesus as her personal saviour. That she will get a renewal of her mind and refuse to be used by the devil to continue the cycle of narcissistic behaviour that had long been in my family.
