Many of us do not know the meaning of a lie or lying. According to Bible dictionary, the meaning is to practice deceit, falsehood, and treachery either by word or action. It is the exact opposite of truth. Much to the church’s shame, many Christians continue to give in to the temptation to lie their way through life. What does God think of this? "Thou shall not lie" is one of the ten commandments, but even Christians have trouble with this commandment. In John 8:44 Jesus says about the liars: You belong to your father, the devil. Jesus has given us a wonderful time on earth. A time to share His word with others. a time to live for Him, shining like the sun. Our life is a gift that comes from heaven. How would we measure this wonderful gift? a. By loving the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul. b. By serving Him in whatever position we are found to be in. c. By fasting and praying for lost souls we see in our daily life. When satan comes to tempt you with pornography, material possesions and making more money, call on the Lord to deliver you from the devils schemes. Remember... The struggle you are in today, is developing the strenght you need for tomorrow. Jesus clearly said. Come unto Me and I wil give you rest. Find true peace, joy and happiness in Him alone.
