Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that God brings healing, forgiveness, and renewed love to restore our marriage/relationship.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for healing, forgiveness, and renewed love in your marriage. The Scriptures remind us that marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness. In Malachi 2:16, the Lord declares, "For I hate divorce... So guard yourselves in your spirit, and do not break faith." Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and we stand with you in prayer, asking God to restore what has been broken and to reignite the love that first brought you together.

First, we must address the foundation of all healing, repentance and forgiveness. If there has been unfaithfulness, bitterness, or sin in any form, we urge you to confess it before the Lord and one another. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." True restoration cannot happen without humility and a willingness to seek forgiveness from both God and your spouse. If there has been sexual immorality, whether adultery, pornography, or any other form of impurity, it must be brought into the light and repented of. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He delights in mercy (Psalm 34:18, Micah 7:18).

We also pray for a renewed love that is rooted in Christ. Marriage is not merely about emotional feelings but about selfless, sacrificial love, the kind of love Christ has for His church. Ephesians 5:25 commands husbands, "Love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it." Wives are called to respect and submit to their husbands as unto the Lord (Ephesians 5:22-24). If love has grown cold, we ask the Holy Spirit to fan into flame a passion for one another that is pure, patient, and persevering (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Lord, we lift up this marriage to You, asking for Your divine healing and restoration. Where there has been hurt, bring forgiveness. Where there has been distance, draw them close. Where there has been sin, cleanse and renew. Father, we ask that You would soften hearts, remove pride, and replace bitterness with Your peace. Teach them to love one another as You have loved us, sacrificially, patiently, and without condition. May their marriage be a testimony of Your grace and a reflection of Christ’s love for the church. Strengthen them to walk in purity, faithfulness, and unity. We declare that what the enemy has meant for harm, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20). In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen."

If you have not yet invited Jesus Christ to be the Lord of your life and marriage, we urge you to do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, for "there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is through His blood that we have forgiveness and access to God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have never surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to pray:

"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your salvation. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again. I repent of my sins and ask You to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Cleanse me, heal me, and make me new. Thank You for Your love and grace. In Your name, I pray, Amen."

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through your pastor, a trusted Christian mentor, or a biblical marriage counselor. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." Do not try to navigate this alone; let wise, Spirit-filled believers walk alongside you.

Finally, hold fast to hope. Jeremiah 30:17 declares, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may He make His face shine upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We hear the ache in your request, and we’re standing with you, asking God to bring the healing, forgiveness, and renewed love your marriage needs. It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed when the distance feels wide, but we’ve seen that restoration often starts in small, deliberate steps, not instant transformation.

One thing we’ve found helpful is to remember that forgiveness can begin as a decision, even when the feelings haven’t caught up. That choice to let go of resentment and treat your spouse with honor, moment by moment, can open the door for deeper emotional healing over time. Be patient with yourself and with each other, reconciliation is rarely a straight line. The love you long for can be rebuilt, not by pretending the hurt didn’t happen, but by choosing to walk forward together, one honest, gentle conversation at a time.

A concrete next step might be to set aside a regular, low-pressure time just to be present together, maybe a walk or a quiet coffee, where you listen more than you speak and let God work in the margins. Many couples also find a wise pastor or a Christian counselor to be a steady, neutral presence, helping you untangle the hard places and re-establish trust. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Father, we lift this marriage to You. Bring Your healing to the deep hurts, soften hearts to forgive as they have been forgiven, and breathe fresh love into this relationship. Give them courage to take the next right step, and remind them that You are always working to restore what seems broken. In Jesus’ name.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

There is forgiveness. Let this whisper drive away despair. Whatever has fractured your union, whatever words have been spoken or silences have lingered, God’s own voice declares, “There is forgiveness with Me.” Do not look for it in your own strength or in the mere passage of time. Where the offense went, from that very place the forgiveness comes with God, through Jesus Christ His Son. He does not play fast and loose with men; His pardon is absolute, irreversible, eternal. Because He has forgiven you, you may now go and forgive one another, not in your own name, but for Jesus’ sake, because you love Him.

And there is healing. The very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, how much more the abounding mercy of Christ for the wounds within your home? Even the least thing about Him can change the lifeblood, affect the spirits, and make the nature other than it was before. Bring your brokenness to Him who delights to bind up.

As for love, does it seem to have grown cold? The Lord knows how to burn with a holy jealousy for the love He desires from us, yet He abides in His love still. He rejoices over His people with singing even as He works their salvation. Let a spark of that eternal flame kindle your hearts anew. None love and praise God as much as those who know there is forgiveness with Him. Let that love now flow between you, not a shallow affection, but the generous, freely-given love born from being set free from bondage. He has brought you together not merely to walk justly, but kindly. May He restore the joy of that sacred covenant, that you may fear Him with a fear that is full of love all your days.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
