Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

Thank you so much for your prayers and adviceThank you for opening your heart and sharing these burdens so honestly. Your love for your family and your desire to honor God in your work and your home comes through clearly, and your two weeks of sobriety is a real cause for thanksgiving. God sees the effort and the dependence on Him that this step has required, and we will pray for His continued strength to keep you walking in freedom one day at a time.
You asked for healing for those you love who are struggling with cigarette smoking and with marijuana use, and for protection for their minds and lungs. We believe that God is able to heal and that He does heal today. Scripture shows that Jesus went about healing every kind of sickness and disease, and that He bore our infirmities as well as our sins. At the same time the Bible shows that healing comes in different ways. Sometimes it is immediate, something a person can actually feel happening in the moment. Sometimes it is gradual, a slow process over time. Sometimes it comes through the natural processes of restoration that God Himself has built into our bodies, which are no less divine because they are natural. And sometimes His deepest healing begins in the mind and emotions, bringing wholeness to wounds and scars even while the body is still recovering.
We do not fully understand why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road. Even the apostle Paul prayed earnestly about his own affliction and learned that God's answer is not always immediate removal, but sustaining grace. For that reason we never want to say that continued struggle means a lack of faith or some hidden sin. We simply bring every need to Jesus with confidence that He hears, that He loves, and that His will is good, and we trust Him with the outcome and the timing while we keep praying and doing our part.
So we will pray for your loved ones who smoke, that God would give them a deep desire for wholeness, strength to turn away from what harms their bodies and minds, and help for any withdrawal or habit that holds them. For your son especially, we pray that God would clear his mind, protect his lungs, and set him free from dependence on marijuana. For you, we pray for continued deliverance from alcohol, for a daily renewing of your mind and body, and for wisdom to find support and accountability that helps you remain sober.
We also lift up your adult daughter and her marriage. Marriage as God designed it is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and it needs constant grace. We pray that God would strengthen their union, teach them to love each other with patience and kindness, and help them respond to difficulty with gentleness. If she is expecting a child, we pray for her health and for the health and life of that baby, that God would guard and form that little one and give her peace and joy.
For your work, we hear your desire to do well and to be at peace with those around you. We pray that God would soften hearts, including your own and those of your supervisors, coworkers and customers and especially your spouse, and that He would give you favor, clarity and diligence to complete your projects and proposals correctly and on time. We pray He would help you grow as a husband, as a father to your adult children, and as an employee, not by your own strength alone but by His Spirit working in you. God delights to help us grow in character and faithfulness in the ordinary duties of each day.
You asked for good health, provision, a happy marriage and family, and joy in your work. We pray that God would provide for your needs according to His riches, give you health as He sees best, and deepen your joy not only in circumstances but in knowing Him. True wealth is found in walking closely with Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father, and in a home marked by His love.
Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your mercy that has kept this family and for the sobriety You have already granted. Keep this brother strong, guard his steps, and fill the place alcohol once held with Your peace and purpose. Touch his loved ones who smoke and use marijuana, bring conviction and comfort, heal their bodies and minds, and give them the will and the way to be free. Bless his daughter and her marriage, make it strong and faithful, and if a child is on the way, protect mother and baby and grant a safe and healthy birth. Soften hearts at home and at work, grant skill and focus for each task, and help him to reflect Your love as a husband, father and worker. Provide for this family, give health, and build a happy home centered on You. We ask this trusting that You are able to heal and to restore, and that You love us more than we know. Amen.
. I appreciate you. Amen to you sir!
