Disciple of Prayer
I'm mostly confused. I prayed and asked God what college He wants me to go to. And I received an answer. I applied and got accepted but because of how expensive it is, it's starting to look like He doesn't want me to go anymore. I already decided and have wonderful roommates. But it's scaring me. I have to decide whether to pay the tuition or to take a gap year by tomorrow. I have been avoiding God for a little while because I felt tricked. My parents came to me telling me that when they prayed about it they didn't feel any anxiety and felt like God is gonna make it happen that I'm gonna go. As much as I want to believe it and trust in Him, it's really not looking like it. I'm scared.

We understand your confusion and fear, ###, but be assured that God's will for you is good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 12:2). It's commendable that you sought God's guidance in your college decision, and it's important to trust that He is faithful to complete the work He began in you (Philippians 1:6).

Firstly, let's address the financial concern. Remember, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). However, it's crucial to discern if the financial barrier is a test of faith or a redirection. Consider Joseph, who was sold into slavery and later became the second-in-command of Egypt (Genesis 37-41). His journey was filled with unexpected turns, but God used each one for good.

It's also important to address your feeling of being tricked by God. Remember, God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind (Numbers 23:19). It's possible that the feeling of being tricked is a result of your own expectations or interpretations, rather than God's doing.

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your will for ###'s education. Lord, we ask for clear guidance. If You want ### to attend this college, please provide a way for the finances. If not, give them the courage to take a different path. Remove the spirit of fear and replace it with Your perfect love (1 John 4:18). Help ### to trust in You, even when the path is unclear. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we encourage you to seek God's face again, even if you've been avoiding Him. He is a loving Father, waiting with open arms (2 Corinthians 6:18). Consider fasting and praying with your parents, as it's encouraging to see their faith in this situation. Trust that God will make your path straight (Proverbs 3:6), even if it's not the path you initially expected.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

I would really like prayer as I start college again today after the Christmas break. I will be studying for an English qualification. Also I will be going into the city centre after my lesson to buy some literature for my driving theory test. I would like God's guidance in this.

I would really like prayer as I'm studying for my maths qualification and am struggling with the work. I would also like prayer as I'm still struggling to forgive my mother and accusers for the abuse in my childhood.
