We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before our Heavenly Father. Financial debt is a heavy weight, and the harassment you’re enduring from creditors is not only stressful but deeply unsettling. We rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome every trial. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). Your acknowledgment of Jesus as Lord is the foundation upon which we build this prayer, for salvation and deliverance come through no other name (Acts 4:12).
First, we rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression that has taken hold through these relentless calls and threats. The enemy seeks to steal your peace, kill your joy, and destroy your hope, but we declare that he has no authority over you. "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every harassing spirit to cease in Jesus’ name, for "the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10). We pray that the Lord would intervene supernaturally to silence these calls and visits, shielding you and your family from further intimidation. May the Lord arise and scatter your enemies, for "the wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion" (Proverbs 28:1).
We also address the matter of your debt with wisdom and truth. Scripture is clear that we are to honor our obligations: "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously" (Psalm 37:21). While it is understandable that you feel overwhelmed, we must not seek a "miracle" that would absolve you of your responsibility to repay what you owe. Instead, we pray for God’s provision to meet your needs in a way that aligns with His will. The Lord is your provider, and He has promised, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We ask Him to open doors of opportunity for you to increase your income, manage your finances wisely, and negotiate with your creditors in a way that brings resolution without further harm to your reputation or peace.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel in managing your debt. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Consider reaching out to a trusted financial advisor or a ministry that offers biblical guidance on debt repayment. The Lord may lead you to consolidate your debts or work out a payment plan that is manageable, but this must be done with integrity and a commitment to honor your word. Remember, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender" (Proverbs 22:7). Our goal should be to walk in financial freedom, not bondage.
We also pray for your new job, that the Lord would establish your steps and protect your employment. "Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans shall be established" (Proverbs 16:3). May your employers see the favor of God upon your life, and may your work be a testimony of His grace. We ask the Lord to shield you from any attempts by creditors to disrupt your livelihood, for "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17). Let your trust be in the Lord, for "those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing" (Psalm 34:10).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear brother/sister who is burdened by debt and harassment. Lord, You see the weight upon their heart, and You know the fear and shame they carry. We ask You to break every chain of oppression and silence the voices of those who seek to intimidate. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we pray for supernatural provision. Open doors of opportunity for them to increase their income, and give them wisdom to manage their finances according to Your will. Provide them with the means to repay their debts honorably, and soften the hearts of their creditors to work with them in grace. Lord, we ask that You would protect their new job and shield them from any attempts to harm their reputation or livelihood. Let Your favor rest upon them like a shield (Psalm 5:12).
We declare that this trial will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You. Teach them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). May they experience Your faithfulness in new and profound ways, and may their testimony bring glory to Your name.
Lord, we also pray for a spirit of contentment and stewardship. Help them to live within their means and to seek Your kingdom first, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). Deliver them from the love of money and the snares of debt, for "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil" (1 Timothy 6:10).
We thank You, Father, for Your mercy and grace. We trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen this brother/sister with Your might, and let them walk in the victory that is theirs through Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
Hold fast to the promises of God, for He is faithful. "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you, believing that the Lord will bring you through this trial into a place of peace and financial freedom. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9).
