2 Chronicles 24 King James Version (KJV) 24 Joash was seven years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Zibiah of Beersheba. 2 And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the Lord all the days of Jehoiada the priest. 3 And Jehoiada took for him two wives; and he begat sons and daughters. 4 And it came to pass after this, that Joash was minded to repair the house of the Lord. 5 And he gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said to them, Go out unto the cities of Judah, and gather of all Israel money to repair the house of your God from year to year, and see that ye hasten the matter. Howbeit the Levites hastened it not. 6 And the king called for Jehoiada the...
Is Mary the mother of God?
This article was chosen especially for those who pray to Mary. No, the Bible does not teach that Mary is the mother of God, nor does it suggest that Christians should either worship or venerate Mary. *Consider: Mary never claimed that she was the mother of God. The Bible explains that she gave birth to “the Son of God,” not God himself.—Mark 1:1; Luke 1:32. ( MY QUESTION IS: HOW CAN ANYONE GIVE BIRTH TO GOD?? GOD CREATED EVERYTHING INCLUDING MARY,) Jesus Christ never said that Mary was God’s mother or that she was worthy of special devotion. In fact, he corrected a woman who gave special attention to Mary’s happy role as his mother, saying: “No, rather, happy are those hearing the word of God and keeping it!”—Luke 11:27, 28. (BEFORE...
Why We Don’t Pray to Mary or Any Other Saint in Heaven To exalt Mary to such a status as mediator is truly misguided and we should shun any arguments to the contrary. Was she special? Absolutely. But she was still just a servant of God in need of a Savior just as much as we are in need of a Savior. We are not to look to her, or anyone else, other than the Triune God! To do otherwise is to exalt the creation over the Creator, and to join hands with those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18ff). It’s hard to believe that Protestants have to revisit this topic every now and then, but apparently we do. Someone will read the early church fathers, circa 200-300 A.D. and come away with the idea that it is OK to pray to...
An article that i found on internet for young believers to learn something and for older beleivers to remind themselves about very important thing. Jesus is on the throne in the heaven, but what is He doing there? Jesus Is Our High Priest, Advocate, and Mediator JESUS IS OUR HIGH PRIEST Wherefore it behooved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people (Hebrews 2:17). Jesus was not a high priest after the order of Aaron. He is a spiritual high priest after the order of Melchizedek. No one followed Melchizedek in His priesthood. No one follows Jesus in His (Hebrews 5:10; 6:20; 7:3). Jesus is the...
I noticed an interesting phenomenon. I somehow don't think it's "coincidence".I notice in some areas there seems to be larger numbers of Christians than others.Like, here in the states we have an area called "The Bible Belt".Mostly the southern states, and we call it that because in those states, Christians are very prominent. Yet in other areas, like in some northeastern cities like New York, in general, the city people are more "snooty" towards Bible believers, and most think they're too "intellectually superior" for it. So I'm wondering what location has to do with the number of Christians, why there's the Bible Belt, and the snarky city dwellers who tweak down their noses at it.The Holy Spirit is everywhere, yet the number of those...
2 Chronicles 23 King James Version (KJV) 23 And in the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, and Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri, into covenant with him. 2 And they went about in Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and the chief of the fathers of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem. 3 And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the Lord hath said of the sons of David. 4 This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the...
My hope is built on nothing less but Jesus Christ and righteousness.. That is our hope of eternity. Jesus the Door to enter in. People are asking us...Where will you spend your life when you die? What awaits for you on eternity? Nothing have I brought into this world and nothing we will be able to take to heaven. Naked we came to earth and naked we shall return to where we came from. So, let us all see what we have how we will spend for the glory of God the Father. 1. All my CDs belongs to Jesus. 2. All my money market accounts belongs to God. 3. All my savings also belongs to Jesus. 4. My house, my car, my truck, my boat belongs to the Lord. 5. My farm and the tractor belongs to Jesus. I shall use everything i have...
