An article that i found on internet for young believers to learn something and for older beleivers to remind themselves about very important thing. Jesus is on the throne in the heaven, but what is He doing there? Jesus Is Our High Priest, Advocate, and Mediator JESUS IS OUR HIGH PRIEST Wherefore it behooved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people (Hebrews 2:17). Jesus was not a high priest after the order of Aaron. He is a spiritual high priest after the order of Melchizedek. No one followed Melchizedek in His priesthood. No one follows Jesus in His (Hebrews 5:10; 6:20; 7:3). Jesus is the...
I noticed an interesting phenomenon. I somehow don't think it's "coincidence".I notice in some areas there seems to be larger numbers of Christians than others.Like, here in the states we have an area called "The Bible Belt".Mostly the southern states, and we call it that because in those states, Christians are very prominent. Yet in other areas, like in some northeastern cities like New York, in general, the city people are more "snooty" towards Bible believers, and most think they're too "intellectually superior" for it. So I'm wondering what location has to do with the number of Christians, why there's the Bible Belt, and the snarky city dwellers who tweak down their noses at it.The Holy Spirit is everywhere, yet the number of those...
2 Chronicles 23 King James Version (KJV) 23 And in the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, and Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri, into covenant with him. 2 And they went about in Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and the chief of the fathers of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem. 3 And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the Lord hath said of the sons of David. 4 This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the...
My hope is built on nothing less but Jesus Christ and righteousness.. That is our hope of eternity. Jesus the Door to enter in. People are asking us...Where will you spend your life when you die? What awaits for you on eternity? Nothing have I brought into this world and nothing we will be able to take to heaven. Naked we came to earth and naked we shall return to where we came from. So, let us all see what we have how we will spend for the glory of God the Father. 1. All my CDs belongs to Jesus. 2. All my money market accounts belongs to God. 3. All my savings also belongs to Jesus. 4. My house, my car, my truck, my boat belongs to the Lord. 5. My farm and the tractor belongs to Jesus. I shall use everything i have...
Whenever we see something become more and more popular with "the world",like a "trend", you can almost bet that it won't gel with "our"way of thinking. The weather forecasters use the term "mother nature" all the time, more and more people into yoga, etc. Now, there's something else that became"popular" the last few years.Remember the good old days. when everyone who died was buried?{Except for Hindus in India} Well now, more and more people I hear talking about getting cremated. It's "trendy" to get cremated, and costs less. But let's look at these reasons.Where did this kind of practice start?Well, there were certain pagans in ancient times who did it, but the Hindus are big believers in it, and for what reason,?What I've heard, they...
2 Chronicles 21 King James Version (KJV) 21 Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead. 2 And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel. 3 And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he was the firstborn. 4 Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel. 5 Jehoram was thirty and...
Ok, in the Bible we see homosexuality recognized as sin.Even tranvestites, who cross dress.{"A man shall not wear anything that pertains to a woman, and a woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man."But nowadays, we have medical technology to do something we didn't hear much about in the past--this transgenderism, where, say, a man gets an operation to become a woman. Now how would this rate as a sin?Well, they say they feel they were born in the" wrong" body.Look at that statement. THEY came to the conclusion that they were born in the wrong body. What does that tell you?To me, if God let them be born as a male,, they're implying that God made a mistake, and THEY are going to overrule Gods mistake by becoming their "real"...
Give us o Lord what we need today. Strenght, wisdom that comes from heaven and more than that, a love for Your word and for Your holy presence that lead us all of us to do what You told us to do. Let us all remember this... Prayer does not change things. God changes things in answer to prayer. John Calvin So,count your blessings, name one by one. Jesus wants to give you strenght and courage today to continue the road that leads us all to heaven. Sing unto the Lord a new song. His praise shall be always in my heart. Amen
