Described; not prescribed, were the words of a sermon I heard recently. I thought to myself: “That’s absolutely correct;” just because something is written in the bible, doesn’t mean it is a prescription for us to perform in our lives. In fact, having exclaimed: “Just because ‘It is written,’ does not necessarily mean ‘it is approved;’” I have paraphrased that very same sentiment, for quite some time now; especially when the intent is hateful or destructive. Yet, there is a word in my translation, which is left out of the sermonic version: “necessarily.” That little word, necessarily, makes room for the component which completes the equation: COMMANDED. So then, let’s look at the equation, in its’ full context: “described...
2 Chronicles 26 King James Version (KJV) 26 Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah. 2 He built Eloth, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers. 3 Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jecoliah of Jerusalem. 4 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did. 5 And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper. 6 And he went forth and warred against the Philistines, and brake down the...
Pray About Everything Be anxious for nothing (don't worry/stop worrying), but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God (pray about it); and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Meditate on These Things Finally, my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of a good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate/think on these things. Fill your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse...
Will rescue you..... Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age and gray hairs
 I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
 I will sustain you and I will rescue you. Many times when we look back our life and wonder how on earth I underwent such and such agony in my life or how I crossed that mountain or river, how I managed this pain and that pain and so on...... In fact no end to such thought of ours. Yes, it is Jesus who was CARRYING us in such situations. Otherwise either we might have gone astray or lost our lives or even landed to the bottom of the pit. So also, He is faithful to SUSTAIN us and RESCUE us. Is He not a great and merciful God? So whatever hopeless situation we may be, let us all get...

That is a wonderful question to answer because we are all getting older and we shall not return to our youth ever. So, let us all think and meditate where will we retire and what will we do for the Lord. A. A nursing home. B. A Christian Retirement Home. C. in my barn. D. At home alone. E. At a mission field F. Serving the Lord. You have fulfilled your profesional ambitions. You made a lot of money. You have everything you want in life. Now is the time to relax and think where we are going to be at when Jesus call us home. So, let us all give our retirement years to Jesus and start doing what we did not do when we were busy working. 1. Sing in the choir of your church. 2. Teach Sunday School to the youth of your church. 3...
