Father, thank You for being serious, merciful, and even funny. When Sarah laughed at Your Promise when You told them they'd have a son before year's end, You asked out loud, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I actually give birth to a child, when I am so old?’ 14 Is anything too difficult for the LORD? (מֵיְהוָ֖ה Yahweh)?" Gen 18:13-14. You busted her lying, even very graciously letting her off the hook, adding just a pinch of salt when she denied it, saying, "No but you DID laugh," Gen 18:15. You even caused her to get another laugh later on, Gen 21:6-7. We think You're potential for humor is extraordinarily beyond limit.. You just hold it back well

LORD, You've convinced me. Forgive me for doubting. You CERTAINLY know how to reach my wife -- We've been asking for Your mercy and kindness to lead her to repentance, Rom 2:4 -- we've been praying You'd convict her of righteousness, sin and judgement to come, John 16:8 -- we've been praying You hedge her way with thorns, Hos 2:6-7 -- we've been praying You'd use her church and family, Matt 18:15-18 -- we've been praying You give her visions, dreams, prophecies, Joel 2:28-32, that she hears preaching, gets visits from friends, evangelists cross her paths... Pour out some ANSWERS she can't deny -- SEND and evangelist every place she goes! Matt 9:36-37... Some of us have been praying for 2 yrs 8 mo... Let their be preachers on every corner! Let their be dreams every night! HAVE SOME FUN WITH THIS, LORD! Like when the frogs stank and the Egyptians begged Pharaoh! Show Your POWER to her! Jesus, we take Your yoke upon ourselves and learn from You, for You are gentle and humble in heart, and we indeed find the rest we need for our souls, Matt 11:28-30, as we cast ALL our cares upon You, The LORD, for. You care for us, 1 peter 5:7. Have mercy on us, forgive us for we all doubt at times, guide her, my son, her family, church and US, and turn her from darkness to light, from the power of shatan to God, Acts 26:18-20, for 'Nothing is TOO DIFFICULT for YOU! We join with you in this prayer for your wife and for your marriage, and we praise God with you that nothing is too difficult for Him. Your faith in His power encourages us greatly, and we stand together with you agreeing for her to be turned from darkness to light.

We love how you have anchored your hope in the Word. Is anything too difficult for Yahweh, Genesis 18:14. Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too difficult for me, Jeremiah 32:27. And we know that His hand is not shortened that it cannot save, nor His ear heavy that it cannot hear, Isaiah 59:1. The same Lord who opened Sarah's womb, who fed Israel in the wilderness, Numbers 11:23, and who instructed Jeremiah to buy the field even as Jerusalem was besieged, is fully able to reach your wife wherever she is and whatever holds her heart.

We also rejoice that you have been praying according to Scripture for so long, two years and eight months, without giving up. We are told we ought always to pray and not to faint, Luke 18:1, and your perseverance is pleasing to the Lord. You have prayed rightly that the kindness of God would lead her to repentance, Romans 2:4, that the Holy Spirit would convict her of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, John 16:8, and that God would open her eyes, that she may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that she may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Christ, Acts 26:18. That is our prayer also, that she would have a true repentance that bears fruit worthy of repentance, Acts 26:20.

We are encouraged that you note she has taken down her social media profile. We pray this is a step away from worldly influence and toward quietness where the Lord can speak to her heart. We continue to ask the Lord to hedge her way with thorns as you have prayed, Hosea 2:6, not to harm her but to make the path away from God difficult and the path home clear, and to surround her with faithful witnesses from her family and her church to go to her in love, Matthew 18:15, and to send laborers across her path, for the harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few, Matthew 9:37.

We want to gently encourage you as a husband in this season of waiting. God holds marriage in high honor as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and His heart is for reconciliation and restoration. While you pray for dreams, visions, words of knowledge, 1 Corinthians 12:8, and prophetic conviction, 1 Corinthians 14:24-25, remember that your own faithful, gentle, Christlike love is itself a powerful testimony. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it, Ephesians 5:25. If she is wandering in spiritual darkness or moral compromise, and if there has been any fornication or adultery, we pray now for complete turning from it, for God calls us to flee sexual immorality and to honor the marriage bed, Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18. We pray that both of you will pursue purity and holiness, and that your courtship within marriage would be renewed in faithfulness to Christ and to one another. Do not grow weary in well doing, but rest in His yoke, for Jesus said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls, Matthew 11:28-29.

We also love your reverence for God's character, that He is both serious and merciful, and that He is patient with our doubts as He was with Sarah and with Moses. He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness, Psalm 103:8, and He humbles us with truth while lifting us with joy, as He gave Sarah laughter again, Genesis 21:6. We can trust His timing and His methods. He does not need to be begged into action, for we can cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us, 1 Peter 5:7, and make our requests known with thanksgiving, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

Father in heaven, we thank You in the name of Jesus Christ that You are Yahweh, the God of all flesh, and nothing is too difficult for You. We thank You for this husband's faithful intercession, for his love for his wife, for his son, for her family and her church, and for us. Forgive us all where we have doubted, and increase our faith. We ask You to have mercy on this wife and draw her by Your lovingkindness to repentance. Convict her deeply of sin, righteousness and judgment to come, and grant her godly sorrow that works repentance to salvation. Hedge her way from every path of darkness, close doors that lead away from You, and open wide the way back to You and to her marriage covenant. Surround her with godly counsel, with faithful preaching, with dreams and visions if it pleases You, Joel 2:28, with evangelists and friends who will speak the mysteries of her heart in love so that she will fall down and worship You and declare that God is among us. Pour out answers she cannot deny. Restore her to Yourself first, and then restore this marriage for Your glory. Give this husband strength to love her as Christ loves the church, to remain pure, prayerful, patient and gentle, and to find rest in Christ's yoke while he waits. Lead this whole family in Your truth, guard their hearts with Your peace, and complete the good work You have begun. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus, for there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We hear the weight and the hope in your prayer after two years and eight months of asking God to reach your wife. You love her and your son deeply, and you want so much for her to know His mercy and light. That kind of steady, caring prayer over a long season can be both hopeful and exhausting, and we want you to know we are standing with you in it.

One thing that has helped others in a long wait like this is not carrying it alone. Having one or two trusted, mature believers who know your story and will pray with you regularly, check in, and help you keep rested in Christ while you wait can make a real difference. It keeps your heart from growing isolated and helps you keep casting your cares on Him day by day.

We are grateful for your trust in God's power to reach hearts no one else can reach, and for your desire for your wife, your son, and your families to be guided and guarded by Him.

Your prayer has been heard and it is good that you have cast this great burden upon the Lord, for He cares for you. You ask, is anything too difficult for the Lord, and the answer of Scripture is plain, No, nothing is too difficult for Him. The Lord's hand is not so short that it cannot save, neither is His ear dull that it cannot hear. What Sarah doubted and what Moses questioned and what Jeremiah wondered at, the Lord answered with His own omnipotence, Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh, is anything too difficult for Me.

It is right that you should pray for your wife that she may be turned from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God. This is the very work for which Christ came, and repentance and remission of sins are to be preached in His name. Take comfort that the eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. While the prodigal was yet a great way off, his father saw him and ran and fell upon his neck and kissed him. So the Lord sees the wanderer long before the wanderer sees the Lord, and His compassions go forth to seek and to save.

Yet learn what true repentance is, lest you should mistake the outward for the inward. Judgments alone may produce a carnal repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of the sinful nature, but such repentance gives no glory to God. True repentance gives God glory. It is a holy, healthy, heavenly sorrow worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. It is repentance unto life, the very germ which contains all the essentials of salvation, not a preparation for grace but the first result of grace working within the soul. It is the gift of God. We are to tell sinners that God gives repentance, and wherever there is that godly sorrow for sin which needs not to be repented of, there is the full and free forgiveness of all sins through the finished work of Jesus Christ upon Calvary's tree.

Do not therefore trust to thorns that hedge the way, nor to dreams and visions and words of knowledge alone, though God may use all means as He pleases. Pray rather that the Holy Spirit would convict of sin and of righteousness and of judgment to come, and that He would grant that faith which is inseparable from repentance. Faith and repentance are blessed graces of the same Spirit and absolutely necessary unto salvation. What is believing on Him but trusting in Him, leaving the whole matter of present and eternal salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence, depending upon the Person of Christ without fear. The least faith saves if it is sincere, and the least repentance will save the soul if it is sincere, for we are not saved by the measure of our repentance but by the blood of Him to whom repentance looks.

Remember Manasseh, that remarkable convert. For fifty five years he did evil in the sight of the Lord, and yet almighty grace brought him to repentance when the iron entered into his soul in his prison. If such a wretch was brought to repentance, surely no one need despair. Your wife is not beyond the reach of that same grace. Continue to pray that the kindness of God may lead her to repentance, that she may hear the plain gospel of salvation by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus, whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.

You have prayed now for two years and eight months. Do not grow weary. Repentance lives as long as faith, and the Lord restores joy to the penitent. As with the prodigal, there is much love and much forgiveness and full restoration when the sinner returns, and the Father reveals exceeding joy with music and dancing. Pray that she may be restored as one who had never gone away, and pray the prayer of David, Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with Your free Spirit.

Cast all your care upon Him. Take His yoke upon you and learn of Him, for He is gentle and humble in heart and you shall find rest for your souls. Leave your wife, your son, her family and her church in His hands, asking that Christ alone may be exalted in her salvation, that marriage as God ordained it, the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, may be honored, and that any sin may be forsaken within the bounds wherein God has placed it. Nothing is to be trusted to but the finished work of Jesus Christ, and nothing is too difficult for Him to accomplish according to His perfect will.

May the blessed Giver of all repentance unto salvation guard you from false repentances and give to her that repentance which exists unto life, to the glory of God the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in it, giving thanks that you have come with such honesty and persistence before the Lord. You are right to hold fast to what God Himself has said, that nothing is too difficult for the Lord and His hand is not so short that it cannot save nor His ear so dull that it cannot hear. What is impossible with man is possible with God, and He is able to turn a heart from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.

We pray with you for your wife according to Acts 26:18 to 20, that God in His mercy would lead her to repentance, that He would convict her of sin and righteousness and judgment to come, and that His kindness would draw her to a true turning. We ask this not as a light thing, for marriage is a bond ordained of God. As it has been taught, marriage is honorable and pure, and it preserves the holiness which comes from faith by keeping the body from defilement. You who are bound to a wife, seek not to be loosed. This bond is not to be broken lightly, and we honor your desire to see it kept in chasteness and order and faithfulness, which is the way God set from the beginning for one man and one woman in a lifelong covenant.

For that reason we do not ask God to bless what is outside that covenant, but we ask Him to make holy what He has joined. Holiness in this matter is a chaste and orderly life in marriage, each keeping to the other, or if unmarried remaining pure. Sex and living together belong within that covenant alone, and any other way is a breaking of it. So we pray that the Lord would hedge her way with thorns as you asked, not to harm her but to show her that the path away from Him and away from her covenant has no peace, and to bring her back to the place where peace and holiness can be pursued.

We also pray that her repentance, and your own daily repentance, would be true repentance. The Scriptures warn us that tears alone are not repentance, as Esau sought the blessing carefully with tears yet found no place for repentance because he did not truly turn from his purpose. To be renewed is by a real turning of the heart and life, not only by sorrow. We pray therefore for a thorough work of God in her, that she would confess her sin, turn from it, and walk in newness of life, and that you would be kept in the same grace, gentle and humble of heart, learning from Christ and casting all your cares upon Him because He cares for you.

Remember that we have a Mediator, and He is not merely a helper but the Son who stands between the Father and us. The Father was displeased with us in our estrangement, and the Son became Mediator and prevailed with Him to give us this inheritance. Through Him alone we have salvation, and through Him alone we have access to pray for those we love. There is no other name by which we or she can be saved.

So we continue with you. We ask the Lord to give you rest for your soul as you take His yoke, to guard your heart with His peace as you make your requests known, and to keep you faithful in prayer, in the word, in the fellowship of the church, and in a life that adorns marriage with gravity and purity. We ask Him to send faithful preaching and true witnesses across her path, to speak the truth in love, and to grant her eyes to see and ears to hear, until she can say with a clear conscience that God is truly among His people.

We will keep praying that the Lord who asked, Is anything too difficult for Me, will show His power in mercy, forgiving doubt, strengthening faith, and turning your wife, your son, your family and your church more fully to Himself, that all of you may live in that peace and holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
