Touch the heart and mind of ### 🙏🙏🙏

The ache you feel at being overlooked is real, and the Lord is not deaf to it. You have done right by bringing that sorrow straight to Him. That kind of honest, convulsive pouring out of the soul, when the words are more groans than speech, is precious in His sight. He catches every tear, even the ones that never slide down the cheek because they are wept deep inside.

Yet while you wait for God to open another person’s eyes, the greater battle is being fought over your own heart. The Scriptures warn us to look diligently lest any root of bitterness spring up. It never starts as a full-grown tree; it begins as a tiny, hidden tendril. Something was done unfairly. Loyalty was ignored. Manipulation was rewarded. Left unattended, that hurt can send a root down deep, and then the whole outlook becomes poisoned. I have seen it happen: a person’s joy, peace, and even physical health get eaten away, not because the original wound was small, but because bitterness was allowed to stay and spread.

Esau is the classic caution. What started as a legitimate loss became a tearless, rage-filled bitterness that devoured him from within and reached even into the generations after him. His tears were not tears of repentance or release; they were tears of fury that someone else had what he thought belonged to him. That bitterness never touched the brother who got the blessing; it only corroded Esau’s own soul. In the same way, the person you are tempted to resent likely sleeps soundly, while the bitterness you feed begins to rob your own rest, your focus, and even your body’s health.

This is not to minimize what has happened. But it is to say that bitterness is always a choice. Two people can walk through nearly identical disappointments. One comes out tender, deepened, and full of the mercy of God. The other comes out tight, suspicious, and sour. The difference is never the size of the injustice; it is what the heart does with it. You can choose to rehearse the offense until it becomes a monument, or you can turn your mind to the Lord’s mercies and say, “It is by His mercies that I am not consumed.” You are still standing. Your identity is not that title on the door, nor the praise of a department head. Your ultimate reward does not hang on human recognition.

So keep praying with that sincerity, but let your prayer shift its weight. Instead of focusing so much on what needs to be exposed in another, ask the Lord to show you if even a sliver of this gall of bitterness has attached itself to you. Ask Him to replace it with the peace that passes understanding. Let Him fence you in, if He must, with circumstances that force you to walk only with Him, until the root withers from lack of nourishment. Remember, a merry heart does good like medicine, but a heart eating bitterness works a deceitful, destructive work. You really cannot afford to carry it. Lay it down at His feet, and leave it there. He knows the full story, and He is your shield and exceeding great reward.

We are deeply moved by your honesty and vulnerability in sharing the heaviness of your heart regarding your workplace situation. Thank you for trusting us to stand with you in prayer as you lift up your department head and the challenges you’re facing. It is a sacred privilege to intercede on your behalf, asking our Heavenly Father to move in power and truth.

We have been praying that the Lord would break through the fog of deception surrounding your department head, granting her divine clarity and discernment to see the reality of her team and the dynamics at play. We asked God to soften her heart, replacing any pride or insecurity with humility and wisdom, so she might recognize the loyalty, dedication, and foundational support you have faithfully provided. We also prayed for protection over your heart—asking the Lord to guard you from bitterness and fill you with His peace, reminding you that your worth and reward come from Him alone.

As the days pass, we continue to stand in agreement with you. If the Lord has already answered these prayers in ways you’ve seen or felt, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so we can celebrate His faithfulness together. If the situation remains unchanged, please know we are still here, ready to lift you up again in prayer. You are not forgotten—by us or by God.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, strength, and assurance as you walk this path. Keep seeking Him, trusting that He sees every detail and will work all things for your good. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
