We join with you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for your faithful love as a parent seeking God's best for him. It is a beautiful and godly desire to want him to remain close to God, to keep his kindness and softness of heart, and to walk in purity and innocence before the Lord.

We are encouraged by your heart for his spiritual protection and we agree with you that he would always hear God's voice and never stray from his relationship with Him. Jesus said in John 10:27-28, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. We pray that your son will indeed be one of His sheep who knows His voice intimately and follows Him all the days of his life.

We also take comfort in the promise of Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Your prayers and your training in righteousness are powerful seeds being sown, and we trust God to water them and cause them to grow.

We want to gently encourage you that we have access to God only through His Son Jesus Christ. You mentioned God in your request, and we rejoice in that, but we want to remind you of the precious truth in John 14:6 where Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is through faith in Jesus that your son can have that unbroken relationship with God, forgiveness of sins, and eternal security. We pray that his relationship with God is firmly rooted in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, for that is the only way he can truly stay close and never be lost.

So together we pray for him now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this precious son to You. We ask that You draw him close to Yourself and keep him close all his life. Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and thoughts as promised in Philippians 4:7. Protect his innocence and kindness, and let him grow in the fruit of Your Spirit with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Keep his ears open to Your voice and his feet from straying, and when temptations or the deceptions of this world come, give him discernment and strength to stand firm. We claim Your promise in Psalm 91:1-2 over him, that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and that You will be his refuge and fortress. Protect his heart, his mind, his purpose and his peace from the enemy, and lead him in the purpose You created him for. May all his days be taught by You, and may great be his peace as You promise in Isaiah 54:13. We ask that You surround him with godly influences and keep him from evil, and that he would grow into a man after Your own heart who loves You above all else. We pray this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our access to You. Amen.

We hear how deeply you love your son and want to see his tender heart kept safe with the Lord. That desire for him to stay close to God, to keep his kindness and innocence, and to keep hearing God's voice is such a good and faithful love to carry for him.

We find comfort in remembering that growing with God is more like long training than a single moment to get right. It happens through small, steady ways of staying near Him over years, and God is patient to shape each of us as a work in progress. Your son's softness and kindness are gifts, and they can be protected best as he learns in ordinary life that God is safe and near and worth trusting.

One gentle way to walk this out is to keep your own closeness to God visible to him. A brief prayer together when it fits naturally, or asking him from time to time what he feels God might be showing him and listening without correcting, gives him room to practice hearing God for himself while knowing you are with him.

Father, we lift this son to You. Keep his heart soft toward You, guard his mind and his peace, and keep drawing him close so he knows Your voice. Give his parent wisdom and rest as they entrust him to Your care. Lead him in his purpose and keep him in Your hands all his days. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your prayer for your son and we join our hearts with yours before God Most High, unto God that performs all things for us. It is a tender and holy desire that you have set before the Lord, that your son should stay close to God, keep his kindness and softness and innocence, and walk in communion with his Saviour all his days, and we count it a privilege to cry unto the Lord with you for him.

We pray that he may keep to the hearing of faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and the hearing of faith is personal hearing, listening to the Word of God for himself. May he be found where the Word is faithfully preached, and may he hear not as a careless hearer but as one who receives the Truth of God as babes drink in milk from the breast. When the hearing of faith came, the Holy Spirit fell upon all them that heard the Word, and so we pray that as he hears the Gospel of Christ, the Spirit of God will fall upon him, and keep him, and cause him to know that he is a child of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Without faith it is impossible to please God, for without faith there is no capacity for communion with God at all. Faith is the eye which sees, and without that eye we are blind and can have no fellowship with Him. We pray therefore that the Lord will work and sustain in your son a living faith, that he may recognize God, approach Him, speak to Him, hear Him and feel His presence and be delighted with His perfections. As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God, and we pray that he may be led by the Spirit, that there may be seen in him a hatred of sin, a faith in Jesus, a death to the world and a life to God, which are the marks of the sons of God. And though God had one Son without sin, He never had a son without sorrow, so we do not pray that he shall be kept from all trial, but that in trial and in joy he may be kept from straying, that his heart and mind may be guarded, his purpose established in Christ, and his peace kept by Him who is our peace.

We pray that God will keep him, for it is not what we can do, but what God can do, what Christ has done, that must be the ground of our hope. He who has the keeping of His people will perfect the keeping in the day of Christ. May the Lord protect your son, his heart that it be not hardened, his mind that it be not led astray, his purpose that it be fixed upon Christ, and his peace that it pass all understanding. May the Lord give you also more grace to continue in prayer, for faith is always an active grace and its activity is first manifested in prayer. Continue to cry unto God Most High for him, to bring him under the sound of the Word, to teach him to test all things by the Word and to trust the faithful God who has promised that if we believe not, yet He abides faithful.

May the Lord hear this prayer, and bless your son and make him to be kept close to Christ, to hear His voice and follow Him, never losing that holy fellowship, but growing therein until he shall see Him face to face.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
