Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your desire to honor Christ in your relationship and to see your lives and ministries bear fruit for His kingdom. We join you in bringing this before the Lord, asking first for His will to be clearly known and faithfully followed in both of your lives.
God has shown us that every good work should begin and end with prayer, calling on Him as the source of all good things. He also teaches that true harmony is not only in kind words but in unity of mind and heart, rooted in love and in shared faith in Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation. When that love is present, it creates a strong bond of friendship where forgiveness, patience, and encouragement abound, and where the fruits of the Holy Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, can grow.
We pray that both of you would continue to grow in faith like that which trusted God even when His promises seemed impossible to human understanding, believing that He is able to do what He has promised and to lead you according to His perfect wisdom. We pray that Jesus would indeed be at the center of your conversations, that your characters would be transformed more and more into His likeness, and that you would support and build each other up in a peaceful and holy way.
We also pray for discernment in every detail of what God wants for your lives. Scripture presents marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and calls those who are not yet married to honor God with purity, keeping intimacy within that covenant. We pray that your time together would reflect that holiness and grace, that you would seek wise counsel from faithful believers around you, and that you would seek God’s direction with open hands, willing to follow His leading even when it requires change or waiting.
We ask God to protect you both, to give you clarity, and to make your ministries fruitful as He has planned, so that His name would be glorified and His kingdom advanced through you. May He grant you peace as you trust Him, and guide your steps day by day as you remain devoted to prayer and to His Word.
