We join with you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for He is good and His loving kindness endures forever. We are grateful you have brought these needs before Him, and we stand with you in prayer for each one you have mentioned.
We lift up your desire for good rest. The Lord knows our need for sleep and restoration. Psalm 127:2 says it is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. And Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We pray the Lord will quiet your mind and body and grant you deep, peaceful rest as you trust in Him.
We also bring before the Father the health needs you mentioned, the loved ones you carry in your heart, the one with lung issues and the one with a heart issue, and we ask for quick healing according to His will. We pray for complete restoration and for wisdom for any doctors and caregivers involved. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 declares, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We trust the Lord as our healer, knowing that even as we ask for quick healing, we submit to His perfect timing and His perfect will, which is always for our good.
We also want to address with love and truth your request for help against lustful thoughts. This is a battle many face, and God calls us to purity of heart and mind. Jesus said in Matthew 5:28, but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Lustful thoughts are not harmless, they defile the heart and lead us away from holiness, and so we must rebuke them and turn from them. Yet we also know there is grace and power to overcome. 1 Corinthians 10:13 promises, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the tempter also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. We encourage you to take every thought captive as 2 Corinthians 10:5 instructs, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and to replace those thoughts with what is pure. Philippians 4:8 exhorts us, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. When those thoughts come, we urge you to flee from temptation, to pray immediately, to fill your mind with Scripture, and to ask God as in Psalm 51:10, Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. He is faithful to cleanse and renew us as we walk in repentance and dependence on Him.
We noticed your prayer was addressed to Dear Lord, and we want to gently encourage you about the precious name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray with confidence.
So we pray together now, Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy toward us. We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, asking for Your grace and healing power. Grant our dear one peaceful and restorative sleep, and watch over the health of each loved one mentioned. Lay Your healing hand upon the lungs that are struggling and upon the heart that needs healing, and bring quick and complete recovery as it aligns with Your will. Strengthen and encourage the hearts of all who are waiting and worrying. Create in us clean hearts, Lord, and help us to flee from lust and to walk in purity, renewing our minds daily through Your Word and Your Spirit. Forgive us where we have sinned in thought and deed, and lead us in paths of righteousness. We trust You as our rest, our healer, and our deliverer. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
