Prayer request

Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for ###’s health, for my ###, for healing for ## for their lung issues, for *** heart issue, and quick healing, and against lustful thoughts

We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for His mercy endures forever and His faithfulness reaches to every generation. We lift up together your desire for good rest, for health for your loved ones, for healing for those with lung issues and for the heart issue you mentioned, and for victory over lustful thoughts.

We are grateful you brought these needs before the Lord, yet we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. You addressed your prayer to Lord, and we rejoice that you are seeking Him, but scripture is clear, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come boldly to the throne of grace in His name. It is in Jesus name that we pray and are heard.

We bring your need for rest before the Lord, for He gives sleep to His beloved Psalm 127:2 and invites us Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We ask Him to quiet your mind and body at night, to grant you deep and restorative sleep, and to guard your heart with His peace.

We also lift up each person you mentioned who needs healing. We pray for the one with lung issues and the one with the heart issue, and for all those whose health you carry on your heart. We know the Lord is our healer who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3 and who promises But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We ask for His merciful hand to bring quick healing according to His perfect will, to strengthen lungs and hearts, to restore breath and steady every heartbeat, and to give wisdom to any caregivers and physicians. We pray with faith that The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15, while trusting that His timing and will are perfect and that He works all things for good for those who love Him.

We also want to address with love and truth your struggle against lustful thoughts. This is a battle many face, but God calls us to purity and holiness. Jesus taught that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28. Scripture commands us to Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. Lustful thoughts, when entertained, lead away from Gods design for sexuality which is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman, and outside of that marriage any sexual thought or act is fornication or adultery before God. We rebuke this temptation in Jesus name and encourage you not to condemn yourself but to repent and turn from it, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5.

We encourage you to fight this battle by renewing your mind daily, thinking on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure Philippians 4:8, by filling your heart with the Word, by prayer, and by fleeing situations and images that stir temptation. Do not be ashamed to seek accountability with a mature Christian believer who can pray with you and help you walk in holiness, for God has called us to honor Him with our bodies, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods 1 Corinthians 6:20.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your forgiveness through His blood and for Your grace to draw near to You. We ask You to grant restful sleep and peace to our brother or sister, to lay Your healing hand upon each loved one mentioned, to touch lungs and grant clear breathing, to touch the heart and bring strength and healing, and to bring quick recovery according to Your will. Lord, we ask You to cleanse the mind and heart from lustful thoughts, to create a pure heart and renew a right spirit within, to help Your child flee temptation and walk in purity and self control by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Help us to fix our eyes on Jesus and to glorify You in body, mind and spirit. We trust Your love and Your power to heal and restore, and we thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you. We hear how much you are carrying as you bring your own need for good rest and your love and concern for the people closest to you.

When sleep has been broken and loved ones are dealing with ongoing lung and heart issues, it is understandable to feel worn down. The strain of waiting for healing can affect sleep, mood, and energy for everyone in the family. We will keep praying for more settled rest for you and for strength and healing for each person you named. If they are not already well connected to care, we encourage you to make sure they stay close to their doctors for follow up, alongside prayer, so their needs can be watched carefully.

Thank you also for being honest about wanting freedom from lustful thoughts. That is a common struggle and it takes courage to name it. Those desires often grow stronger when we are tired, lonely, or lingering without purpose, and they can point to a deeper longing for closeness and comfort that God wants to meet in healthy ways. One step that helps many is to notice when those thoughts tend to come and to have a simple plan in that moment to turn toward the Lord, step away from the trigger, and reach out to a trusted pastor or mature friend for steady accountability.

Father, we lift up our brother to you and ask for quiet, restoring rest, for your care over each loved one who is ill, and for a clear mind and a pure heart as he seeks you each day. Give him wisdom for each next step and peace as he trusts you. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your grateful thanksgiving for the goodness of the Lord is a sweet and comely beginning, for it shows a heart that perceives His hand. We have heard your desires and we join our prayers with yours before the throne of grace.

You ask for good rest, and we would point you to Him who alone can give it. Our Lord says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is a present rest, rest now, not only rest after death, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then, and it is a perfect rest. There is also a further rest which is found when we take His yoke upon us and learn of Him, for He is meek and lowly in heart, and so we shall find rest unto our souls. The dove never found rest till she came to the ark, nor will you till you come to Christ. All must be right when the heart is right, and the heart is right when faith rejoicingly reconciles the soul to God through the death of Jesus Christ. We pray that the Lord will give you both the rest of pardon and the rest of a quiet, learning heart, and that He will grant you needful sleep and the deeper rest of soul which remains for the people of God.

You ask for health and healing, for those near to you and for those who suffer with the lungs and with the heart, and for quick healing. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. A word of His, coming home to the heart as His, brings healing to head and heart, conscience and imagination. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Christ by suffering in His people's place has answered all the demands of Justice, and He is able to heal the body as well as the soul. We pray that the Great Physician will lay His hand upon each afflicted one, that He will ease the lungs and strengthen the heart, and grant such recovery as shall be for His glory. And if it please Him to try you with continued weakness, may you know what it is to be vexed with sore pains and yet to feel such rest of heart that you make small account of bodily condition, rejoicing in Divine love. For healing and pardon go together, and a new heart also will He give, and a right spirit will He put within.

You ask also to be kept from lustful thoughts, and this is a prayer which every tender conscience must often pray, Lead us not into temptation. Temptation in itself is a thing very dangerous, and trials and distress are so perilous that it is right for the Christian to pray thus. Remember your own heart, for a man who carries gunpowder about with him may well ask that he may not be led where the sparks are flying. If we have a heart ready to explode at any moment, we may well pray that we may be kept from the fire. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. There is a heart which should be tender, by which we perceive the Presence of God and feel His operations. Pray then that the Lord will make your heart watchful and keep your eye from beholding vanity. Never go into temptation. The man who prays Lead us not into temptation and then goes into it is false before God. Turn from the place of danger, set a watch upon your thoughts, learn of Him who is meek and lowly in heart, and in learning that you shall find rest unto your soul. Cry mightily for that purity which is the great separator of Christians from the world, and for charity and holiness to reign within.

We now commend you and those you love to the Lord who hears prayer.

O Lord our God, we thank Thee for Thy goodness which has followed this soul. Give rest to the weary and healing to the sick. Touch those who are afflicted in lung and heart, and grant them relief according to Thy perfect will. Create in this Thy servant a clean heart and renew a right spirit within. Keep the feet from the path of temptation, deliver from the Evil One, and cause the heart to be pure that it may see Thee. Let all be done through Jesus Christ our only Saviour, in whose once pierced heart infinite mercy is treasured up. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your thankfulness for God's goodness is right and good, and we join you in giving thanks to Him. He is the giver of every good gift, and it is fitting that we begin with gratitude before we bring our needs.

We have heard your requests and we pray with you.

We pray for good rest for you. The Lord Jesus says, take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. We ask Him to grant you both bodily rest in sleep and deeper rest of soul in His peace, and to keep your hope set not only on relief here but on the hope laid up for you in heaven, which is secure. We pray that you will labor to enter into that rest and not fall away, but keep your mind and expectation fixed on Him.

We pray for health for those you named, for healing for the lung issues and for the heart issue, and for quick healing according to God's mercy and wisdom. We ask the God of love and peace to be with them, to have compassion, to comfort and strengthen them, and to restore them. We ask Him to give wisdom to those who care for them and to sustain you as you love and pray for them.

We also join you in praying against lustful thoughts. As Scripture teaches, such desires belong to the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches, which choke the word and bear no fruit. These thoughts do not come from God, and they do not adorn the soul. But the Word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to dividing soul and spirit, and discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart. We pray that God will purify your heart, that He will give you a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness and patience, and that by His Spirit and through His Word He will help you to take every thought captive, to turn away from what tempts you, and to walk in purity. When temptation comes, ask Him at once for help, flee from what stirs it, fill your mind with what is true and holy, and remember that He forgives and cleanses those who confess and turn to Him, even as Christ forgave us.

May the Lord keep you, grant you peace, and answer these prayers according to His perfect will and love in Christ. Amen.
