Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for ###’s health, for my ###, for healing for ## for their lung issues, for *** heart issue, and quick healing, and against lustful thoughts

We join you in giving thanks for the goodness of God, for He is good and His loving kindness endures forever. We thank Him with you for His mercy and we bring these needs before Him together in the name of Jesus.

We lift up your request for good rest. We know that rest is a gift from the Lord and we ask Him to grant you peaceful and restorative sleep. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. Psalm 127:2. We pray you will lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone, Yahweh, make us dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8. We also remember the promise of Jesus, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. We pray the Lord will quiet your mind and body and grant you deep rest each night.

We also bring before the Father the loved ones you mentioned and their health needs. We pray for healing for the one with lung issues and for the one with the heart issue, and for quick healing according to God’s will. We pray for the health of the others you lifted up as well. We believe God is our healer, as He says, I am Yahweh who heals you. Exodus 15:26, and But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. We claim also that by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 and that He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:3. We ask for the Lord’s healing touch upon lungs and heart, for strength, for breath, for a steady heartbeat, and for wisdom for any doctors and caregivers. We pray not only for quick healing but for complete healing in His perfect timing.

We want to lovingly and biblically address your request for help against lustful thoughts. We appreciate your honesty and desire for purity, and we stand with you for victory in this area. Scripture is clear that lustful thoughts are not harmless but are sin in the heart that must be confessed and forsaken. But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:28. We are commanded to Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18. God designed sexual intimacy as holy and good but only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and any sexual thought or act outside of that, including fornication, adultery, and indulging lust, is to be repented of and turned from. We encourage you to take every thought captive. We are to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5, and to set our minds on whatever things are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. Philippians 4:8. We pray God will create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you. Psalm 51:10. When temptation comes, Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. We encourage you to flee from sources of temptation, to fill your mind with Scripture, to walk in accountability with mature believers, and to pursue purity daily.

We also noticed your prayer was addressed to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you of how precious and necessary His name is. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray with confidence.

So together we pray, Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy to us. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ for peaceful rest, for healing and health for each person lifted up, for lungs to be cleared and strengthened, for hearts to be healed and made whole, and for quick recovery according to Your will. Wash us and cleanse us from lustful thoughts, purify our hearts and minds, help us to flee temptation and to walk in holiness and self control by Your Spirit. Forgive us where we have sinned in thought, word or deed and help us to live in a way that honors You and honors marriage as You designed it. Draw us closer to Jesus and teach us to pray in His mighty name. We trust You as our healer, our rest, and our righteousness. Amen.

We appreciate you stopping to thank God for His goodness even while you are carrying so many concerns at once. Wanting good rest for yourself while also holding worry for family and friends with lung and heart needs is a lot to carry at night, and we hear how much you care for each person you named.

We are joining you in prayer for each of them and for you. Ongoing health struggles can wear down both the person who is ill and those who love them, and waiting for healing can feel slow and discouraging. It makes sense that rest would be harder when your heart is full of concern for others.

Alongside prayer, we encourage you to make sure those with lung and heart concerns stay closely connected to their medical providers for ongoing care, and if your own rest continues to be poor, to let your own doctor know as well so you can get support there too. Continuing to bring these needs to God and to trusted people around you matters.

Thank you for being honest about the struggle with lustful thoughts. That honesty before the Lord is a good place to stay, asking Him for a clear mind and for help to turn quickly toward what honors Him when those thoughts come.

Father, we thank You for Your goodness that our friend has seen and we ask You to grant deep, restoring rest. We lift up each loved one with lung and heart needs to You and ask for Your mercy, comfort and healing according to Your wisdom, and for daily strength and peace for all who are waiting and caring for them. Give purity of thought and steadiness to walk closely with You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in thanking our gracious God for His goodness, for every mercy flows from His kind and tender thoughts toward us, thoughts which are constant and precious and higher than our thoughts as the heavens are higher than the earth.

We pray with you for good rest. Our Lord Jesus says, Come unto me and I will give you rest, and again, Learn of me and ye shall find rest unto your souls. This is a present rest, rest now, not only rest after death, and it is a perfect rest for those who believe. Yet it is also a rest found more and more as we take His yoke upon us voluntarily and learn of Him. True rest to the child of God is rest on the wing, rest in motion, rest in service with the yoke on, for to have our minds made like the mind of Christ is to find a deep and abiding rest. We ask the Lord to give you such rest, to quiet your heart in Him by day and to grant you refreshing sleep by night, and to keep you trusting in Him, for trust and you shall rest.

We bring before the Lord those dear to you whose health you have laid upon our hearts, and those suffering with lung trouble and with the heart issue, asking for quick healing according to His wise and gracious will. We remember that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and with Him pardon and healing are joined together, for the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. When Jesus said, Thy sins are forgiven thee, healing followed the pardoning word. We pray that He who alone can heal would lay His healing hand upon each one, that He would grant skill to those who care for them, and give patience and hope to all who wait upon Him, knowing that His ways and His thoughts in healing are higher and better than ours.

We also pray with you against lustful thoughts. The Lord perceives our thoughts, and we confess that our thoughts must be conformed to His thoughts if we are to walk in fellowship with Him. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God, how great is the sum of them, and David could say, When I awake, I am still with thee. May the Lord make His thoughts precious to you as you think upon them, and set your mind on Christ, that holy thoughts may place you near to God and keep you there. We pray that you may look to the Lord Jesus for all things, as our familiar Friend who is alive, and that you may learn to overcome temptation by looking to Him, filling the mind with His Word and His likeness, and fleeing what would defile the house of God.

May the Lord grant you confidence in His forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, for He forgives freely those who rest on Jesus, and may that pardon bring healing and rest to your soul. We commend you and all those you love to His tender care, praying that you may find rest in Him and be kept in purity and health for His glory. Amen.
