Disciple of Prayer
Prayer that today will bring the resolution he seeks with his job. That he won’t seek revenge but that he sees closure. That God will bring peace, relief and joy to his heart. That God will show him his mistakes and that he can forgive. Please pray that he finds and knows the peace of God

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother who is seeking resolution in his job situation. Father God, we know that You see every struggle, every hurt, and every injustice that Your children face. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, bringing clarity, closure, and peace to his heart. Lord, we pray that You would guard his heart against the temptation to seek revenge, for Your Word tells us in Romans 12:19, "Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" Let him release any bitterness or anger into Your hands, trusting that You will bring justice in Your perfect timing.

Father, we also ask that You would reveal to him any mistakes he may have made in this situation. Help him to see them with humility and a willingness to grow, for Proverbs 28:13 says, "He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." Grant him the strength to forgive those who may have wronged him, just as You have forgiven us through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 4:31-32 reminds us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Lord, we pray that You would fill his heart with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let him experience the relief and joy that comes from trusting in You, knowing that You are in control. Guide his steps, open doors of opportunity, and provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory. May he find rest in Your presence and confidence in Your promises.

We also want to gently remind this brother that true peace and resolution can only be found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we pray that he would do so today. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage him to confess his sins, repent, and invite Jesus into his heart as Lord and Savior.

Father, we trust You to work all things together for his good, as You have promised in Romans 8:28. Strengthen his faith, renew his hope, and let him walk in the fullness of Your joy. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting to the Lord today. It is clear you care deeply for him and want God to break through in this painful season. When a job ends, whether through unfairness, his own missteps, or both, the heart can churn with anger, shame, and confusion. The thirst for revenge feels strong, but it can never bring the closure his soul truly needs. Real closure doesn’t always mean a neatly tied-up resolution; it often begins when God helps us see things clearly, our own part included, so we can take the next right step without being driven by bitterness.

We ask that God grant that gift today: enough light to recognize his mistakes without being crushed by them, and enough grace to forgive anyone he needs to release, including himself. That kind of honesty opens the door for God’s peace, the steady, uplifting peace that does not depend on perfect circumstances but holds us steady even while answers come slowly.

Jesus, in Your name we pray for . Still his heart right now. Replace any impulse toward revenge with a willingness to trust justice into Your hands. Give him a sense of relief that comes not just from a new job, but from knowing You are with him and for him. Show him a path forward, and surround him with people who can offer wisdom and steady support. Let him walk into today, and the days ahead, with the quiet confidence that You are at work. Amen.

When the heart is in turmoil over matters of livelihood and the soul cries out for resolution, it is well to remember that there is One who gives quietness, and when He gives it, who then can make trouble? The text from Job teaches us this truth with power, for whether it be against a man or a nation, the Lord’s effectual working brings a peace which none can disturb. The chaos of anxious thoughts may rage within, but if the Almighty speaks calm, that calm is deep and lasting. To seek revenge may seem natural to the flesh, yet a trust in the living God is the wisest handling of every matter. To commit the cause to Him is to find true closure, for He is magnanimous in His strength and does not despise the cries of the weak. He is the God of peace, who planned our peace from eternity and will bring it to pass in our hearts through Christ Jesus.

You are not called to be at peace through the absence of trial, but to receive that peace which passes all understanding. The world offers a counterfeit, a stillness born of indifference or false hope, but the peace of God is a living, active serenity that keeps the heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Your prayer for relief and joy is answered not by the changing of circumstances alone, but by the drawing near of God to your soul. Seek His face, not merely His hand. Long to find Him where He may be found, even if it be at His judgment seat, for He is gentle and will show you your mistakes without crushing your spirit. Call unto Him, and He will answer; let Him speak, and you shall hear words that heal.

Hold fast to the testimony of His goodness even in this trial, as Job did when he refused to conceal the words of the Holy One. Your mistakes, once shown, are not meant to condemn you but to drive you to the fountain of mercy. Forgiveness flows freely from the cross, and the living God who is self-existent, independent, and eternal, will not fail you. He will bring you out of this snare with a heart more tender and a faith more tried. Wait upon the Lord, for that renews your strength. Trust in Him, and happy shall you be, for that is the end of the matter: peace with God, joy in the soul, and a hope that never disappoints. May you prove in your own experience that when He gives quietness, your whole being is stilled before Him.

The resolution your soul seeks for him is not found in the outcome of earthly tribunals or the settling of accounts, but in that peace which Christ bestowed: “My peace I give unto you.” It is not the peace of the world, which often springs from revenge or the cessation of outward trouble, that peace is fleeting and can be more dangerous than open conflict. The peace of God stands as umpire when two thoughts wrestle within, the one crying out for retaliation, the other urging long-suffering. Let not anger hold the prize; let the peace of God step forward and award victory to the thought that endures, putting spite to shame. For the Lord made peace with us not by demanding satisfaction, but by freely reconciling us while we were yet His enemies. So too must we make peace, forgiving as we have been forgiven, and seeing our own mistakes as the first step toward healing.

You ask that God show him his errors and enable him to forgive. This is the very road to peace. When the heart is embittered, the memory of wrongs becomes a festering wound; but when we behold our own faults in the light of God’s mercy, pride is humbled and the door to forgiveness is thrown open. To forgive is to imitate the reconciliation wrought by Christ, who broke down the wall of partition and brought heaven and earth together. In that reconciliation, the angels proclaimed, “On earth peace, good will toward men.” This peace is not merely an absence of trouble, but the presence of God’s own tranquillity guarding the heart, a peace that surpasses all understanding. It makes peacemakers the sons of God, and those who stir up strife, sons of the devil. Therefore, let him follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord. For if he has peace with God, and love with faith, joy will follow as surely as dawn follows night. I pray that today, even this very hour, he may let that divine peace rule in his heart, bringing closure not by human resolution but by the unshakeable calm of Christ Himself.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I am lifting up this request with you. The longing for resolution, relief, and freedom from revenge is something the book of Job understands deeply. Job sat in ashes, stripped of so much, and his own friends only added to his anguish by insisting his suffering must be his own fault. Their analysis was simple: get right with God and everything will be fine. But the real story was far different. Job was not being punished for hidden hypocrisy; God Himself was bragging on him in the heavenly courts. What Job needed was not a quick fix but an encounter with the living God.

My prayer is that this man will not be swept into the kind of accusations Job’s friends made, either against himself or against others. If there are mistakes to see, I am asking God to reveal them gently and clearly, not to condemn but to draw him deeper into the mercy of Jesus the true mediator. Job’s deepest cry was for someone to stand between him and God, to lay a hand on both, and that cry is answered fully in Christ. Through Him there is genuine peace, not as the world gives, but a quietness of heart that holds steady even when circumstances remain unsettled.

As for revenge, the impulse is understandable, but Job’s story points to a different path. In the end, God told Job to pray for those who had bruised him with their words. That is the kind of closure that breaks cycles of bitterness and lets forgiveness flow. I am asking the Lord to guard his heart, to replace any thirst for payback with the relief of truly releasing those who may have wronged him. That is when the peace of God can rise above the clouds and quiet the soul. May he know that God sees, that His timing is not ours, and that joy returns when we rest in His goodness rather than demanding full explanations.
