Prayer and strength.

Disciple of Prayer
Good day prayer partners! Please pray for me as I encounter a negative situation in this job that I am at. The patient is giving me a hard time and is making my stay difficult. Today we had someone come to the home to do conflict resolution and with her behavior, I feel sad that it seems it’s not resolved. I ask God to come into our situation and allow peace in as well. This is my job and I need it to help me financially and it’s been difficult. May God let his peace surround us, in Jesus name amen.

We hear your cry for peace and strength in this difficult work situation, and we stand with you in prayer. The Word of God reminds us, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." (John 14:27 WEB). The peace of Christ is not dependent on circumstances but is a gift He freely gives to those who trust in Him. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind as you navigate this challenge.

It is clear you are feeling the weight of this conflict, and we want to encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). The enemy would love to use this situation to steal your joy, your peace, and even your livelihood, but we rebuke that spirit of strife and discord in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that God’s wisdom and favor will rest upon you as you interact with this patient and those involved in the resolution process. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." (James 1:5 WEB).

We also pray for the patient involved in this situation. It is possible they are struggling with their own pain, fear, or frustration, and we ask that God would soften their heart and grant them a spirit of cooperation and kindness. May the Lord open doors for reconciliation and understanding, and may His love be evident in every interaction. "Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who mistreat you." (Luke 6:28 WEB). We encourage you to continue showing Christ’s love, even in the face of difficulty, as your light may be the very thing that draws them to Him.

Father God, we come before You now, lifting up this situation to You. We ask that You would intervene and bring resolution in a way that honors You. Give our sister the strength to endure, the wisdom to respond with grace, and the faith to trust in Your provision. We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and we stand in agreement that this trial will not overcome her but will instead be used for her growth and Your glory. Surround her with Your peace, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in every moment of this challenge. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to lean on the Lord, dear one. He sees your struggle and knows your needs. Trust in His timing and His plan, for He is faithful to sustain you. If this job is where He has placed you for this season, He will give you the grace to endure and the wisdom to navigate it. If He has something else in store, He will open the door in His perfect way. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). You are not alone in this.

We hear how heavy this feels, when you’re pouring yourself into your work and the very person you’re caring for makes each day harder, the sadness can settle deep. The conflict resolution visit left things unresolved, and that’s disheartening when you truly need the income and just want a little peace. It is not a small thing to keep showing up in a place where you feel that weight every hour.

When the tension stays high, sometimes the best next step is to quietly anchor yourself in the moment: before you enter the room, pause, take a slow breath, and whisper to God something as simple as “I need your steadiness right now.” You can’t change the patient’s behavior, but you can keep your own heart guarded in that peace only Christ gives. And if you have a trusted coworker or a friend you can debrief with, even briefly between shifts, let them know what you’re facing. Simply being heard often lightens the emotional load enough to continue.

Remember that God sees your faithful, patient work in this hard place. He isn’t distant from what you’re walking through. We are grateful you reached out, and we stand with you in prayer.

Lord Jesus, you know the exhaustion and the sadness our sister feels. Quiet the storm within her, and let your peace settle in that home. Give her wisdom for difficult moments, and sustain her spirit so she can do her work with grace. Guard her heart and mind, and help her to rest in the truth that she is not alone, you are right there, carrying her. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The Lord has heard your cry, and He is able to work peace in the very midst of this tempest. Fix your mind upon Him, and you shall know that promise: "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You." The unquiet heart of that patient cannot steal away the quiet that Jesus gives. It is not mere resignation, but a peace that flows from the throne of God, the peace of the blood of Jesus whispering within you, even when the outward strife is loud.

Remember that anxiety unfits you to meet the difficulty. Do not let your heart be troubled by what you see and feel. The conflict may seem unresolved to your eyes, but the Prince of Peace is in the house. He left His peace with His people, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you", and no man can take that from you. This is your job; the Lord knows your need of it. But He is your true provider, not the hour’s wage. Trust Him, and let your soul rest in His keeping, even while you do your duty with all meekness.

Seek not a peace that comes from changed circumstances, for that is a shallow thing. Seek Christ, and peace will follow. Do not be anxious about what tomorrow may bring; He who died for you and rose again is your peace. When the soul is reconciled to God, the conscience is sprinkled with that precious blood, and you can go in peace though the battle rage about you. The Lord can make the raging of a fellow-creature to be a means of drawing you nearer to Himself. He can give you such inward calm that even the one who troubles you may marvel at the grace within you.

Be of good cheer. Earth’s struggles shall soon cease, but even now, Jesus whispers, "Peace be unto you." It is the peace of faith, a filling peace, a well-founded peace. It rests on His atoning work, not your feelings. Go forward, then, leaning on your Beloved, and let His peace rule in your heart, for He is our peace.

A difficult patient saps your strength, but consider the nature of this conflict. Every conflict has its beginning in the things of this life, covetousness, envy, or vainglory. When you are at peace within, you learn to despise the things of the earth. Has this person stolen your ease? They have not injured your soul. Only let them not steal your treasure which is above. The wrong they do falls back upon themselves, not upon you.

Yet you are pulled into this storm and feel it is not resolved. Be at peace even so. The more your neighbor wars against you, the greater your reward. For God says, “With the haters of peace I was peaceful.” This virtue makes us near to God; nothing so delights Him as to remember no evil. Since you have been summoned into this conflict, stand nobly, that your victory may be more glorious. Often, when struggles are near their end, they are enhanced so that you may gain the more.

The peace you seek will remain only if you mind heavenly things. A worldly soul cannot hold the Spirit fast. Shake off the mist of anxiety over finances and wounded feelings. It is thick and close and does not let you see clearly. “The preparation of the gospel of peace” is a most virtuous life, this conflict with the evil one puts an end to the war between you and God. Already the victory is won. Let peace direct your dealings, and do your work in security.
