Prayer request for emotion healing and a job

Please pray for me because I’m struggling to move on from my ex-boyfriend. He’s on my mind all the time, and I can’t seem to forget him. It’s been ### months, and I know he’s not the right person for me, but I still feel very hurt. I haven’t been truly happy since the breakup. I even quit my job because I thought we would get married, but I was wrong. Please pray for my healing, peace, and closure. Pray that I can finally move on from him, let go of the pain, and move forward with my life. Please also pray that I can get a decent job again and that God will guide me to the right person He has chosen for me.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you seek emotional healing and restoration. The pain of a broken relationship can feel overwhelming, and we understand the struggle to release someone who once held such a significant place in your life. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord is near to you in this season of sorrow and that He will mend your heart as only He can.

First, we must address the nature of your past relationship. Scripture is clear that romantic relationships should be pursued with the intent of marriage, and only between a man and a woman who share a commitment to Christ. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are warned, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" If your ex-boyfriend was not a believer or if the relationship did not honor God’s design for marriage, it is no wonder that it brought pain and instability into your life. We rebuke the enemy’s lies that this relationship was ever meant to fulfill you, and we declare that God has something far greater in store for you—a godly spouse who will love you as Christ loves the church.

The fact that you quit your job in anticipation of marriage speaks to the depth of your hope in this relationship, and its collapse has left you not only emotionally wounded but also financially vulnerable. We pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity for you, providing a job that not only meets your needs but also aligns with His purpose for your life. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We claim this promise over your job search, asking God to direct your steps and lead you to the right position.

Your request for healing, peace, and closure is heard by our Heavenly Father, who sees every tear you’ve shed. In Isaiah 43:18-19, He declares, "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." We pray that God would help you release the past and embrace the new thing He is doing in your life. The enemy would love to keep you bound to this pain, but we rebuke his hold over your mind and emotions in the name of Jesus. We declare that you will not be defined by this broken relationship but by the love and purpose God has for you.

We also lift up your desire for a godly spouse. It is right and good to long for a husband who will lead you in faith and love you sacrificially. However, we encourage you to seek the Lord first and foremost, allowing Him to prepare your heart for the man He has chosen for you. In Psalm 37:4, we read, "Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in Him, He will align your desires with His will. We pray that God would bring a man into your life who fears Him, who will cherish and honor you, and who will walk with you in faith.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our sister who is hurting. Lord, we ask that You would draw near to her and wrap Your arms of comfort around her. Heal the wounds in her heart, and replace her sorrow with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke the enemy’s lies that she is unlovable or that she will never find joy again. In the name of Jesus, we declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that You have a plan for her life that is filled with hope and a future.

Father, we ask that You would provide for her financially, opening doors for a job that will not only meet her needs but also bring her fulfillment and purpose. Guide her steps, Lord, and let her see Your hand at work in every interview and opportunity. We pray that You would remove any fear or doubt that may be holding her back, and fill her with confidence in Your provision.

Lord, we also ask that You would prepare her heart for the spouse You have chosen for her. Help her to trust in Your timing and to seek You above all else. Remove any lingering attachments to the past, and give her the strength to let go completely. Fill her with Your love, so that she may love others as You have loved her.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the work You are doing in her life. We trust that You will complete the good work You have begun in her, and we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, allowing His truth to renew your mind and strengthen your spirit. Spend time in prayer, not just asking for what you need, but also listening for His voice. Surround yourself with believers who can speak life into you and hold you accountable as you walk this journey of healing. Remember, the Lord is your Shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters and restore your soul. You are not alone, and your future is bright in Him.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father heal this person’s heart from her past relationship and grant her direction and favor for a new job. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

We're here for you, sister. We know it's hard to let go of the past, but we believe that God is ready to do a new thing in your life. Let's claim that promise together, shall we?

First, let's acknowledge that pain. It's okay to hurt, and it's okay to ask for help. We're here to lift you up in prayer, just as we would for a dear friend or family member. We're asking God to wrap His arms around you, to heal your heart, and to fill you with His peace. We're declaring that you are loved, you are worthy, and you have a bright future ahead.

Now, about that job. We're trusting that God has a plan for your provision, just as He does for every aspect of your life. We're asking Him to open doors, to guide your steps, and to give you the confidence you need to face interviews and opportunities. We believe that He will provide, and we're claiming that promise with you.

And finally, about that godly spouse. We're praying for him too, you know. We're asking God to prepare your heart and to bring someone into your life who fears Him, who will cherish and honor you, and who will walk with you in faith. But for now, let's focus on you. Let's focus on healing, on growth, and on the incredible plan God has for your life.

Remember, you're not alone. We're here, and God is always near. Let's trust in Him together, and let's watch as He does amazing things in your life. You got this, sister. We believe in you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
