Pray

Beloved of All
Please keep my family in your prayers. My brother is experiencing ###, which has led to him shouting at our mother non-stop, calling her names, and repeating the same stories. She feels tired and embarrassed, especially when neighbors hear his screams. He has been calling her hurtful names, including stupid, among others. We have already tried many approaches, but nothing seems to be working. Prayer groups do pray for him regularly, but his behavior shows little improvement(the piloce was called and nothing ever works). I humbly ask Jesus Christ to help my mother, as she is struggling and cannot manage this alone.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in earnest prayer. The pain and exhaustion your mother is enduring is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who hears every cry and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). The verbal abuse and disrespect your brother is displaying is grievous, and we stand with you in the truth that no one should endure such treatment, especially from family. Scripture is clear that we are to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12), and the behavior you’ve described is a direct violation of God’s command. We do not excuse it, nor do we minimize the deep hurt it has caused.

Father God, we first ask for Your divine intervention in your brother’s life. We rebuke any spirit of anger, confusion, or rebellion that may be at work in him, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your Word declares that a gentle answer turns away wrath (Proverbs 15:1), yet we recognize that human efforts have not brought change. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart, break the hardness that has taken root, and restore him to a place of love, respect, and self-control. If there is unconfessed sin, addiction, or mental distress contributing to this, we pray for Your healing touch to bring clarity and repentance. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we speak restoration over his mind, emotions, and relationships.

For your mother, Lord, we ask for Your strength to uphold her in this trial. She is weary, and the embarrassment she feels is real, but we pray that You would remind her of her worth in You. You are her refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2), and we ask that You surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give her the courage to set boundaries if needed, and the wisdom to know when to seek help beyond prayer, whether through biblical counseling, medical intervention, or godly community support. We pray that she would not grow bitter or resentful but would trust in Your justice and mercy. Strengthen her, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in tangible ways.

We also lift up the rest of your family, including you, who are carrying this burden. The weight of watching a loved one struggle and seeing a parent suffer is not light. We pray for unity among you, that you would stand together in prayer and support, and that Satan would not use this situation to divide or discourage you. Remind each of you that God works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28), even in the midst of pain.

Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). We ask that You move in ways that only You can, bringing breakthrough where there seems to be no hope. If there is a need for deliverance, healing, or repentance, we trust You to make the way. We also ask that You protect your mother’s heart from the lies of the enemy, that she is not worthless, that this is not her fault, and that You have not abandoned her. Let her rest in the truth of Your Word, which says that You will never leave her nor forsake her (Hebrews 13:5).

We declare over your brother that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that Your plans for him are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). We speak life over him, and we pray that he would come to know You more deeply, turning from his ways and seeking Your face. May this trial be the very thing that draws him closer to You.

In all of this, we trust in Your sovereignty, Lord. We know that You hear our prayers, and we wait expectantly for Your answer. Give this family patience, perseverance, and faith to keep believing, even when the situation seems unchanged. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Amen.

To you and your family, we offer this encouragement: Do not lose heart. The enemy would love for you to feel hopeless, but God is greater than any circumstance. Keep pressing into Him, and do not hesitate to seek godly counsel or practical help if the situation escalates. Your mother is not alone, and neither are you. God sees her pain, and He will not leave her in this place. Continue to pray, to trust, and to stand on His promises. He is working, even when you cannot see it.

It is deeply painful to watch someone you love suffer in a way that also wounds those caring for them. The weight your mother is carrying sounds immense, the relentless verbal assault, the public embarrassment, the sheer exhaustion of it all. When you’ve tried so many approaches and even involved outside help without seeing change, it is completely understandable to feel depleted and at a loss.

We’ve seen how heavy this burden can become for families, especially for a primary caregiver like your mother. The constant demands and emotional toll she endures are beyond what any one person should have to carry alone. That sense of being unable to manage is not a failure on her part; it’s a sign she desperately needs reliable, practical support. Please gently encourage her to see a doctor with your brother if she hasn’t recently, since a marked change in behavior can sometimes have an underlying medical cause that needs attention. Beyond that, she needs her own refuge. A caregiver support group or a trusted friend who can sit with her regularly can be a lifeline, offering her a break and the steadying comfort that others truly understand.

For now, we pray with you for both of them.

Jesus, you see this mother’s weariness and the pain of this family. Quiet the chaos in their home and bring moments of genuine calm. Shield her heart from the sting of the words being shouted, and grant her deep, sustaining strength. We ask for wisdom for the doctors and helpers involved, and for a path forward that brings relief. Hold them all steady, Lord. In your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The Lord has seen the tears of your mother, and He has not closed His ear to her sighing. This trial in your household is a grievous weight, but it is precisely here that the Spirit presses us to distinguish between the burdens we may share and those each soul must carry alone before God. You speak of prayer groups that intercede, yet the improvement tarries. Remember, we may lay the case before the throne of grace, but we cannot repent for another, nor believe for another. Your brother’s own burden of sin and his disordered mind that spews forth such venom, this is the crushing load that only Christ can lift, and only if your brother will come to Him. Do not grow weary in praying that the Lord would grant him the will to come.

The shouting, the name-calling, the repetition of stories, this is the outward noise of a soul in tumult, and neighbors hear it as you say. But there is another who hears the silent anguish of your mother’s heart. The Father pities His children with a tender compassion that excels a mother’s, for He knows her frame and remembers she is dust. You asked Jesus Christ to help her because she cannot manage alone. This is a right prayer, for He does not break the bruised reed. Yet, take care that in bearing her burden you do not thrust your own back upon her by fretting. Your own duty is to stand beside her with quiet strength, to speak peace to her spirit when the storm rages, and to bear that part of the load which she can place upon you, the sorrow, the embarrassment, the weariness. That is the love of the family of God.

Every man shall bear his own burden. Your brother’s raving is his, and it will meet him at the judgment unless grace intervenes. Your mother’s patient endurance, if sanctified, is her own crown to lay at the Saviour’s feet. Your prayer is your burden; do not cast it off because the answer delays. Carry it into the holy place until the arm of the Lord is revealed. Christ’s own burden is light because He bears it with us. Cast this entire tangle upon Him, the son’s hardness and the mother’s weakness, and then, having done all, stand firm. Watch for the day when this very trouble may be seen as the plow that broke the fallow ground for a harvest of mercy.
