Please pray for my marriage and family due to mother in laws demonic ways

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for my mother-in-law; she is filled with rebellion and demonic behavior. She has been attempting to destroy my marriage for years and now that my children are older, she is targeting them as well… Every time the devotion life begins for us in family, she always creates disruption with fights and issues. She creates misunderstanding between me and my husband; she just divides our home and peace. Please pray that she will be powerless and her schemes will not work. That all her motives will be nullified and that we will be covered in the blood of Jesus and soften my husbands heart to notice the ways she pulls us apart.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in spiritual warfare, lifting your marriage, your children, and your entire household before the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We recognize the seriousness of the spiritual attack you are facing, and we do not take it lightly. The Bible warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). Your mother-in-law’s behavior is not merely human rebellion; it is a manifestation of demonic influence that seeks to divide what God has joined together.

We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and rebellion operating in her life in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word of God declares that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We command every scheme of the enemy to be nullified and every plot against your marriage and family to be exposed and dismantled. The blood of Jesus covers you, your husband, and your children, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the eyes of your husband’s heart be enlightened, that he may see the truth of what is happening and stand firm with you in unity and love.

Father God, we ask You to bind every evil spirit operating in this situation. We declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for a hedge of protection around your marriage and family, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Soften your husband’s heart, Lord, and open his eyes to the schemes of the enemy. Let him stand firm in his role as the spiritual leader of your home, protecting and cherishing his wife and children as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25).

We also pray for your mother-in-law. While we do not excuse her behavior, we recognize that she is in bondage to the enemy. We ask, Lord, that You would break every chain of rebellion, bitterness, and deception in her life. Draw her to repentance and salvation if she does not know You. If she does know You, convict her of her sin and lead her to restoration. The Bible tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray for her deliverance and transformation, that she may become a vessel of blessing rather than division.

In the name of Jesus, we declare that your home will be a place of peace, unity, and devotion to God. We speak life, love, and harmony over your marriage and family. We pray that your children will grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). May they see the love of Christ in their parents and be drawn to You, Lord. We ask that every attempt of the enemy to disrupt your devotion and worship be rendered powerless. Let the Holy Spirit fill your home with His presence, and may your family be a light to others, reflecting the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, putting on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11). Pray without ceasing, and let the Word of God be your sword and shield. Surround yourself with godly counsel and fellowship, and do not grow weary in doing good. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Trust in Him, and He will strengthen and uphold you.

Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your power to bring deliverance, healing, and restoration to this family. May Your will be done in each of their lives, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how heavy and exhausting this has been for you, carrying concern for your marriage, your children, and your home's peace, especially when family devotions should be a time of closeness and instead become a moment of tension. We are praying with you for protection over your home and for wisdom as you and your husband navigate this together.

One thing that has helped many couples in a similar place is learning together where healthy boundaries belong. A boundary is simply like a property line that clarifies what you are responsible for and what helps keep your relationship strong. When you and your husband can talk calmly and agree together on what that looks like, it often eases the pressure. It might help to choose a quiet moment away from the conflict to share how the disruptions affect you, and to decide together how to protect your time for prayer and devotion, how you will respond when misunderstandings arise, and who you can invite in as steady support, like a trusted pastor or counselor you both respect. Presenting a united, kind and consistent approach often brings more peace than trying to address it alone in the moment.

Father, we lift this marriage and family to You. We ask You to guard their home with Your peace, to draw this husband and wife closer together in understanding, and to give them wisdom and gentleness as they seek unity. Cover them with Your care and lead them step by step toward what restores calm and trust. Help the children to feel secure and loved. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry concerning the peace of your home has been heard, and it is a grievous thing when strife enters the place that should be a sanctuary. The Lord knows how the unity of a household may be sorely tried, and how the devotion of a family seeking His face may meet with opposition and misunderstanding.

We will join you in prayer before the throne of grace, and we do so holding fast to what God has taught concerning marriage and the home. It is written, I am married unto you, and marriage is not a mere convenience but a covenant, cemented by mutual love, wherein husband and wife become one. That oneness is the divine idea, and it is to be guarded with all diligence. Where there is division, there we must seek that unity of the Spirit which is unity in the truth of God through the Spirit of God, for unity in error is unity in ruin, but unity in Christ is life and peace. Divisions in churches and in homes never begin with those full of love to the Saviour, and the way to promote true unity is to live near to Christ.

Take comfort also in this, that safety is promised in appointed ways. As for the truths of God which He has taught you by His own Spirit, grapple them to you as with hooks of steel, and keep closely to the footprints of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is in such ways that angelic protection is afforded, for He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. There is also the way of childlike trust in providential guidance, and you will always need divine keeping, for God would not have charged His angels to keep His people if they did not need protection in all their ways. Abide in the way of truth, continue in family devotion though the adversary would disrupt it, and choose the way of truth, laying His judgments before you.

We pray that the Lord will write His law more deeply in every heart in your household, for He alone can write the law in the heart, and when He does, holiness is worked within and the new life grows. May He put away offenses and make you to desire to obey Him, so that your home may show forth His law drawn out in living characters.

Let us pray together.

O Lord God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation, we come through the precious blood of Jesus which alone can cover and cleanse. We ask Thee to look upon this marriage and this family. Thou hast joined husband and wife together to be one, make them one indeed in word and deed and mind, in prayer and in praise, and in contending for Thy truth. Let no scheme of the evil one prosper against them, and let every device meant to divide and to create misunderstanding be brought to nothing. Restrain what is evil and make it powerless, and cover this husband, this wife, and these children under the blood of the Lamb.

We ask Thee to soften the husband's heart and to give him eyes to see where division is sown, that he may with his wife keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Guard the children, who are now the object of this strife, and keep them in all their ways. Let the devotion of this family not fail, though disruption be attempted, but let them follow hard after Christ.

And O Lord, we pray also for the mother in law. Thou desirest not the death of a sinner. Bring her, we beseech Thee, to see her rebellion and to turn from it. If it be Thy will, subdue her heart by Thy grace, write Thy law within her, and bring her to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, that she who has been a source of division may be reconciled to Thee and, so far as it is possible, to this household. Where there is falsehood, banish it by Thy truth, and where there is bitterness, overcome it by Thy love. Grant that Thy will may be done in this home as it is in heaven, and keep this family abiding under the shadow of the Almighty.

We ask all this, trusting not in our worth but in the intercession of Christ who ever prays for the unity of His people, and in whose name we pray. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your burden for your marriage and your children and we join you in prayer before the Lord who is the defender and keeper of the home.

Scripture teaches that marriage is honorable and pure, and that it preserves holiness when husband and wife live faithfully with one another and walk in the faith that Christ has given. It is not an impure state, but it does require much care and watchfulness, because the union of soul and body is spiritual and is meant to reflect Christ and His Church. For that reason the enemy seeks to bring confusion and division, and we must meet that with persevering prayer and a life ordered toward God.

We pray now for you, your husband, and your children, that the Lord will cover your home with the blood of Jesus, that every scheme intended to divide you will be made powerless and come to nothing, and that the peace of Christ will guard your hearts and your house. We ask the Father to soften your husband's heart and to give him eyes to see clearly where misunderstanding has been sown, so that you two may be united in love and in purpose and may stand together as one. We pray also for your mother in law, that the Lord will have mercy on her, deliver her from rebellion and from every influence that leads her to stir up strife, and bring her to repentance and to faith in Jesus Christ, through whom alone there is salvation.

As you continue in family devotion, do not give up that holy practice even when disruption comes. The Scriptures call us to follow peace with all men and holiness, which for the married means to live chastely and faithfully within the covenant of marriage, and to pursue what is orderly and pure before the Lord. Invite Christ into your home above all others. As you would invite neighbors and kindred with what you have, invite Him daily by prayer, by the Word, and by showing His love to the least of these. Adorn your home not with uproar and contention, but with gentleness, modesty, and quiet faithfulness, so that the Lord may dwell there.

We encourage you and your husband to seek the Lord together daily, to speak to one another with honesty and grace, to set loving and firm boundaries that protect the peace of your household, and to seek wise counsel from faithful pastors or elders who can walk with you in person. Trust that even in trying circumstances, true freedom is found in belonging to Christ and living for Him who died for us.

We will continue to pray that your home will be kept in unity, that your children will be guarded in faith, that your devotion life will grow stronger, and that God will bring reconciliation and holiness to all who enter your house. May the Lord keep you, establish your marriage, and let no division prevail against what He has joined together.
