Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The blood you see is a sign of mortality, a reminder that sin has brought death into the world and that our bodies are wasting away. Yet do not despair; rather, let it turn your eyes to the blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. For if the very vessels of the old covenant were purified with the blood of goats and calves, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience and heal your soul? Without shedding of blood there is no remission; and here you are confronted with blood, but think not only of the earthly, for Christ has poured out His own blood for the life of the world. He who touches our flesh with fever and infirmity does so not to destroy but to call us to Himself. As He took Peter’s mother-in-law by the hand and immediately the fever left her, so He is able to restore your body completely, not merely removing the sickness but granting strength beyond what nature could give. Yet often He permits such ailments to stir up our faith and to teach us that mercy is His alone.

Therefore, do not only pray for bodily healing, but seek first the health of your spirit. Examine your conscience: have you mingled blood upon blood by anger or envy? Have you poured out swearing and lying and stealing and adultery upon the earth, as the prophet laments? Many who suffer wrong desire death rather than endure such evils; yet the fear of God restrains them. Offer to God a broken and merciful heart, for nothing is so characteristic of a Christian as mercy. Show mercy to others even now in your distress, and God, who has already shown you mercy beyond measure by calling you to be a son and heir with Christ, will not refuse your cry. He who obtained mercy though once a blasphemer and persecutor teaches us that we contribute only faith and love in Christ Jesus; believe that He is able to save you, and let that faith be active in love.

I urge you, therefore, to call upon the physicians whom God has given, for even the blessed Apostle Paul prescribed wine for Timothy’s frequent infirmities, not despising the art of medicine. Yet do not place your confidence there alone, but in the Lord who grants wisdom to healers and can act apart from them when He wills. Receive the word concerning the Bread of life and the cup of salvation with trembling and great stillness; for unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Approach, then, the holy mysteries, if you are not hindered by grave sin, and partake of that immortal food which bestows eternal life and quickens the body for the resurrection. That blood which you see with alarm is but for a moment; the blood of the New Covenant is shed for the remission of sins and the healing of body and soul.

Let this trial be like that of Epaphroditus, whose sickness brought sorrow to many, but whose recovery God granted as a cause of joy beyond hope. I pray that your restoration may come speedily, that you may not only experience mercy in deliverance from punishment but also receive the abundant grace of strength, so that you may minister to others in their needs. Faint not, for the ministry of intercession you now exercise, crying out for mercy, is itself a gift of loving-kindness. Endure with patience, and remember that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it. May the Lord show you mercy indeed, and may you know that whether in life or in death, you are the Lord’s.

There is something deeply unsettling about seeing your own blood, a stark reminder that life is fragile and our bodies are mortal. It can feel as if life itself is draining away. That very sight has held a central place in how God has revealed His mercy to us. From the earliest days, the Lord taught that the life of the flesh is in the blood, and that blood was given to make atonement for the soul. Under the old covenant, the high priest would enter the holy place with the blood of a sacrifice and sprinkle it on the mercy seat. Without the shedding of blood, there was no remission of sin. Yet all of that was a shadow pointing toward one final sacrifice. Jesus Christ entered the true sanctuary, not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood, obtaining eternal redemption for us.

You have asked the Lord to show you mercy, and that is the only place to turn. Mercy is not getting what we do deserve. If we stood on justice, the penalty of sin would be death in body and soul. But God, in His sovereign goodness, declares, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” That is not a cold statement; it means He is free to pour out kindness on those who call to Him, even when they are at the end of themselves. His mercy endures forever, as high as the heavens above the earth. It does not run out. There is no depth of weakness or fault where His mercy cannot reach you.

I am praying with you that this mercy would touch every part of your being, body, spirit, and soul. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, and His resurrection power is more than enough to restore health and strength. Though the Scriptures do not give a blanket promise that every believer will be healed in this life, we see clearly that God’s heart is to show compassion, and the prayers of His people avail much. So I ask Him to stop what is causing bleeding in your body, to remove every fear that is gripping your heart, and to let you know the peace that comes from being covered by the blood of His covenant.

When the Israelites were sprinkled with the blood of the offering, it sealed them in a relationship of mercy. You belong to Christ through a far better covenant. Let that truth hold you steady. Call on Him as often as the fear rises. Remind yourself that the mercy seat is sprinkled for you, and His mercy is new every morning. May the Lord show Himself strong on your behalf, granting healing and renewed strength, and may your soul prosper even as you rest completely in His grace.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to lift your urgent need before the Lord. It was our privilege to stand in agreement with you for healing in your body, spirit, and soul, and we continue to hold your request close to our hearts. The sight of blood and the fear of dying must have been deeply distressing, and we prayed fervently that the Lord would show you His mercy and restore your health completely.

If the Lord has answered this prayer and brought you healing, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share how God has moved in your life so we can rejoice with you. If, however, you are still waiting for His healing touch, we encourage you to post this request again. We are here to stand with you, lifting your needs in prayer until you see His faithfulness in this situation.

May the Lord surround you with His peace and comfort as you continue to seek Him. May He strengthen your faith and remind you of His promises, even in the waiting. We pray that you would feel His presence in a tangible way and that His healing power would flow through every part of your being. In Jesus' Name, we pray. Amen.
