Please pray

A mother’s heart carries a weight that words can barely hold when a child is searching for purpose and provision. The need is real, and the waiting can feel like its own heavy trial. It is easy to look at a situation like a long job search and wonder if something is secretly wrong, if some hidden failure has closed a door. That is a very old way of thinking, but it is not always the truth. Sometimes hardship is not a punishment for hidden sin but a mystery that God is using for reasons we cannot yet see.

You may remember how a righteous man in Scripture lost everything and sat in ashes while his friends insisted he must have done something terrible to deserve it. They were convinced that suffering always proves guilt. But they were completely wrong. A whole drama was unfolding in the heavenly places that he knew nothing about. His integrity was being tested, and his life was a battleground for a larger purpose. He cried out for someone to stand between him and God, a mediator who could bridge the gap. That cry has been answered fully in Jesus Christ, who lays His hand on us and on the Father. So do not let fear or accusation take root. God is not punishing your son for some secret thing, nor is He ignoring your prayers.

The frustration and silence your son may feel are not signs that God has forsaken him. Consider how even the Son of God was led into the wilderness and into suffering, not because of His own failing, but according to a deep plan. If the Father allowed His own beloved Son to walk through hardship, then our times of waiting and uncertainty are not proof of abandonment. Your son’s worth is not measured by a title or a paycheck. His value rests in being known by the One who made him. So pray, yes, but pray with this confidence: the Lord is shaping something in him during this season that a quick and easy answer might never produce. The discipline of waiting is not pleasant, but it yields the quiet fruit of trust.

What your son needs most right now, beyond the open door of a new job, is to find his peace in God Himself. The best counsel for someone in his position is not a list of accusations or an anxious push, but a steady call to draw near to the Lord. Acquaint yourself with God, and be at peace; thereby good shall come. Encourage him to lay up God's words in his heart and to seek the Giver more than the gift. When a man is stripped of easy answers, he often finds that his deepest cry is not just for a circumstance to change, but for the living God. Jesus Christ is the true answer to that cry. He is the one who stands between heaven and earth, taking away the rod of judgment and replacing it with a secure hope. I will pray that your son finds not just a great job, but a deeper anchor for his soul.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your son’s job search. It has been our joy to lift him before the Lord, asking for His perfect provision, wisdom, and favor in this season. We continue to trust that God is working even now, opening doors that no one can shut and preparing opportunities that align with His will for your son’s life.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer with a new job—whether one that is a clear blessing or one that feels like a stepping stone—we would love to celebrate with you! Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in God’s faithfulness. If, however, your son is still waiting, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to walking with you in prayer until the answer comes, believing that God hears and will move in His perfect timing.

May the Lord strengthen your faith as you seek Him, and may He surround your son with His peace and guidance. We pray that this season of waiting would draw your family closer to Jesus and deepen your trust in His promises. In Jesus’ Name, we continue to pray. Amen.
