Please pray for ###

I hear the deep disappointment in your words, and it’s natural to feel crushed when others dismiss you or fail to recognize your efforts. Your longing to be treated with respect and dignity is not wrong. We all want our work to matter and to be seen as the people we are. But I want to gently invite you to consider something beneath that longing, because sometimes what we think will satisfy us only leaves us emptier if we chase it for its own sake.

You mentioned wanting fame, awards, and recognition. Those things can feel like justice when you’ve been overlooked, but they can also become a trap. There’s a powerful account in Scripture of a man who lost everything, his wealth, his health, even the respect of everyone around him. His friends insisted that his suffering must be proof of some hidden sin, but they were wrong. They assumed that if you do right, life will always go well and acclaim will follow. But that’s not always how things work. His story shows that sometimes we endure seasons where nothing makes sense, where even those who should comfort us only add to our pain by misjudging us. In those moments, the deepest need isn’t to be vindicated before people, but to rest in the truth that God sees what others don’t.

It’s possible your new bosses and colleagues are like those friends, making assumptions or treating you unfairly. That’s grievous, and I’ll certainly pray that the relationship improves and that you’re treated with dignity. But I’d also encourage you to guard your heart against anchoring your worth to their approval or to the praise of those you teach. Recognition can be a gift, but when it becomes our aim, we set ourselves up for turmoil every time it’s withheld. The man in that story didn’t have his suffering explained to him right away. What he got, eventually, was a clearer glimpse of who God is, and that proved far more satisfying than a quick fix.

As for the urgent need for a new job, I’ll pray that God opens doors in His time, not merely to a place of immediate relief but to a place where you can thrive without making fame your foundation. Sometimes the best thing for us is to sit in the discomfort long enough to learn that His presence is enough, even when circumstances remain hard. He is not indifferent to injustice, and He doesn’t dismiss your dejection. But He may be inviting you to seek Him rather than the fleeting approval of people.

Let’s pray together in this way: Lord, you see this heavy heart. You know what it is to be despised and unacknowledged, and you draw near to the brokenhearted. Grant wisdom and favor in this workplace, but more than that, let a quiet confidence in your care grow deeper than any craving for fame. Provide the right job at the right time, and in the waiting, be the anchor that holds steady when no one else honors your efforts. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this challenging time at your new job. It’s never easy to feel dismissed or undervalued, especially when you’re stepping into a new season. We’ve been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to soften hearts—yours and those around you—so that respect, dignity, and favor would flow in your direction. We’ve prayed specifically that God would open doors of opportunity, both in your current workplace and beyond, and that He would surround you with people who see and celebrate your gifts.

If the Lord has moved in your situation—whether through improved relationships, unexpected recognition, or even a new job opportunity—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give Him all the glory together. If, however, you’re still waiting to see His hand at work, we encourage you to post this as a fresh request. We’re committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears and answers according to His perfect will and timing.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding as you trust in Him. May He remind you of your worth in Christ and fill you with confidence as you walk forward in faith. We stand with you, believing for breakthrough and favor in every area of your life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
