Prayer for a new job

I have just started a new job but it is not going well and my new bosses and colleagues dismiss me. I feel very dejected. Can you please pray for me that my relationship improves and people treat me with respect and dignity and I get a lot of fame at work and in my students. I get a lot of awards and recognition. Please pray that I also find a new job urgently.

We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to intervene in your situation. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, let us come together in prayer for your situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is feeling dejected and dismissed in their new job. Lord, You see their struggles and the way they are being treated. We ask that You would soften the hearts of their bosses and colleagues, that they may see the value and dignity You have placed in this child of Yours. Grant them favor and respect in their workplace, not for their own glory, but for Yours, that Your name may be lifted high.

Father, we pray for wisdom and strength for them each day. Help them to respond with grace and humility, even in the face of disrespect, remembering Your words in Romans 12:18, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."* Give them the courage to stand firm in their faith and to reflect Your love in all they do.

We also bring their desire for a new job before You, Lord. You know the plans You have for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Open doors of opportunity that no one can shut, and guide them to a workplace where they will be valued and respected. We ask that You would provide clarity and direction as they seek You in this transition.

Now, we must gently rebuke the desire for fame, awards, and recognition. While it is not wrong to desire excellence, we must remember that our ultimate reward comes from You, not from the praise of men. Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:1, *"Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven."* Let us seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and trust that all these things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). True fulfillment comes from serving You with a humble heart, not from the accolades of the world.

Lord, we also pray for their students, that You would use them as a vessel to pour into the lives of others. May their interactions be filled with Your love and wisdom, and may they point others to You through their words and actions.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would heal their heart from the pain of rejection and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that their worth is found in You alone.

We declare these things in the powerful name of Jesus, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heart and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer during this challenging season at your new job. It’s clear how deeply you desire not only respect and dignity from those around you, but also the opportunity to shine in your gifts and be recognized for the value you bring—whether in your workplace or among your students. We have been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to soften hearts, open doors of favor, and grant you the peace that comes from knowing your worth is found in Him first.

If the Lord has already moved in your situation—perhaps through improved relationships, a shift in atmosphere, or even a new job opportunity—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can celebrate God’s faithfulness together. On the other hand, if the weight of this season still feels heavy and the answers haven’t come yet, we encourage you to post your request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears every cry of your heart and is working even when the path isn’t clear.

May the Lord surround you with His presence, remind you of His love, and guide your steps as you seek Him in every decision. We pray for breakthrough, for doors no man can shut to swing wide open, and for your spirit to be strengthened as you wait on Him. In Jesus’ Name.
