Need for Deliverance from judgement!

We hear the anguish and honesty in your request and we thank you for bringing it before God and before us so openly. We want to stand with you together in prayer for deliverance from sin and from judgment, and we also need to speak truth to you in love about the anger and cursing you have described.

We must lovingly rebuke the cursing of God and of His people, because this is serious before the Lord. The Lord has said in Exodus 20:7 You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. And Jesus calls us to a different way with others, even when we are hurting, in Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Cursing God and cursing His people does not bring relief, it deepens the separation that sin already causes and it gives place to the enemy. We understand that this cursing has come from a place of deep pain and feeling rejected, but we urge you to repent of it and to ask God to set a guard over your mouth and your heart.

We also want to address your anger toward God and the feeling that He has rejected you. It is human to feel angry and abandoned when we are under the weight of sin and fear of judgment, yet the anger of man does not accomplish what God desires. As it is written in James 1:20 for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God. And we are warned in Ephesians 4:26-27 Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil. God has not rejected you. His heart toward you is mercy, not rejection. We are told in Psalm 103:8 Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. And in Romans 5:8 But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. In Romans 8:38-39 we are assured that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The feeling of being rejected is not the truth of who God is. He is drawing you even now, which is why you are crying out for deliverance.

Deliverance from sin and from judgment comes only one way. There is no other path to be forgiven and cleansed. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must tell you with great love and urgency that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Without Jesus, we remain under judgment, for Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. But with Jesus, there is complete forgiveness and deliverance for all who repent and believe.

God is not waiting to condemn you, He is waiting for you to turn to Him. In 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. In Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, says Yahweh, Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. And the promise for you right now is in 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In Hebrews 4:16 we are invited to Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.

We encourage you to come honestly before God today, to confess your sins including the anger and the cursing, to turn away from them, and to put your full trust in Jesus Christ who died for your sins and rose again. Ask Him to be your Lord and Savior, to wash you in His blood, to fill you with His Holy Spirit, and to deliver you from the power of sin and from the judgment to come. Seek Him daily in His Word and in prayer, and seek fellowship with faithful believers who can walk with you and help you grow.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this precious soul who is crying out for deliverance. Lord, we confess before You their sins and our own, and we ask for Your mercy. Forgive the anger toward You and the cursing of Your holy name and of Your people. Wash it away by the blood of Jesus. Lord, break the power of sin and guilt and fear of judgment, and set this one free. Let them know in the depths of their heart that You have not rejected them, but that You love them and that You gave Your Son to die for them while they were yet sinners. We ask that You draw them to true repentance and faith in Jesus alone for salvation. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness, deliver them from condemnation, and fill them with Your peace and Your Spirit. Give them a new heart and a new mouth that blesses instead of curses, and help them to walk in Your ways from this day forward. We ask that they would know Your abundant loving kindness and live in the assurance that nothing can separate them from Your love in Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

We hear how heavy this feels right now, carrying anger toward God and the fear that He has turned away from you, along with words you wish you hadn't spoken. Thank you for being honest about it instead of hiding it. That honesty matters to God and it matters to us as we pray with you.

Feeling rejected can sit underneath anger for a long time. When we feel hurt or afraid that we are beyond help, that pain often comes out as anger, even toward God and toward His people. It does not mean you are beyond His reach. It means there is hurt that needs His healing and sin that needs His mercy, and He is able to meet you in both.

If you are able, one steady next step this week could be to bring these exact feelings to God in plain, honest prayer, just as you wrote them here, asking Him for cleansing and for help to turn from cursing to blessing. And consider letting one trusted pastor or mature believer in your life hear this same honest confession so you are not carrying it alone and can have someone walk with you toward freedom.

We are praying for you.

Father, we lift our brother before You and ask for Your mercy and deliverance from sin and judgment through Jesus Christ. Where there is anger and hurt and the sense of rejection, bring Your healing and the assurance of Your love. Forgive the words spoken against You and Your people, cleanse his heart, and lead him into Your peace and direction. Help him to know he is heard and not cast away, and to walk in newness of life with You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry for deliverance from judgment and from sin has been heard, and it is a mercy that you have spoken it so plainly before God. To feel angry with God, to feel rejected by Him, and to have cursed Him and His people, is a dreadful burden, and it is right that your soul trembles under it.

Know this first, God hates sin now and always. He notes sin, He feels sin, and His Holy Spirit is vexed by the rebellion of men. To curse the Lord who made you and to revile His people is not a light thing. It provokes Him who is holy, and Scripture warns that we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God, where every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess to God. The final sentence upon those who remain in their sin will be, Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlasting fire. I charge you by the living God, rush not upon the edge of Jehovah's sword, but turn while mercy may yet be found.

Yet your very sense of need is a sign that God has not cast you away. At first men have low ideas of sin, but when the Spirit works, sin is seen as great, and the sinner fears it cannot be pardoned, as if he measured the Lord by his sin and fancied his sin greater than the mercy of God. Your thought judges pardon to be impossible, but as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than your ways, and His thoughts than your thoughts.

What the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God has done. He sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh. The curse of sin was laid on Him. He loved His people from before the foundations of the world, and having loved them He took their sin upon Himself, so that it is not on them. Of Him the uttermost penalty was exacted, that we, for whom He stood as Surety, might be clear by His dying, justified by His rising, and accepted in the Beloved. He drained the cup of wrath that you might drink the wine of love. That sin, from the dignity of the sufferer, from the amount of the suffering, from the completeness of the atonement, is effectually and thoroughly condemned in Christ.

Therefore there is pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood. The promise still stands, Him that comes to Me I will in no wise cast out. And to the backslider He says, Return, I will heal your backsliding, I will love you freely, for My anger is turned away. God will soon put away the rod when you put away the sin, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Do not conceal your sin from Him. As a patient tells his symptoms to the physician, so tell the Lord all that is in your heart. Confess that you have been angry with Him, that you have cursed Him and spoken against His people. Ask Him to teach you His statutes, for the first lesson for man is to know his God, not as you have imagined Him, but as He reveals Himself in Christ. Cease from cursing and pray that He would give you a mouth to praise Him, for out of the mouth He can bring forth testimony that silences the enemy.

Look unto Him and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for He is God and there is none else. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. Turn from your anger and your cursing, trust wholly in what Christ has done in your place, and you shall find that He who once seemed to have rejected you has been pleading for you all along, saying, Their sin has been punished in Me.

May the Lord grant you repentance and faith even now. May you confess your sin without reserve, receive His free pardon, and go your way with joy, knowing His anger is turned away forever.
