Deliverance from past sexual sin

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi, I’m asking for prayer for deliverance from my past involving prostitution and for healing from everything that came with that part of my life. I pray that God would help me break free from any soul ties, unhealthy attachments, relationships, or anything else from my past that may still be affecting me. I still find myself in poverty situations where I struggle to get food and take care of my basic needs. I’m not saying that I’m having sex for these things, but there have been times when I’ve found myself in situations where I may exchange my time, attention, or companionship just to get something to eat. I don’t want to feel like I have to give any part of myself away just because I’m struggling financially. I pray that God would provide a way for me to meet my needs without feeling like I have to compromise myself. I rebuke and renounce selling or giving away any part of myself. I don’t want to sell my body, my time, my dignity, my identity, my humanity, or any part of who I am just to survive. I also want to ask for prayer concerning any bargains, agreements, promises, bets, or commitments I may have made or entered into while I was involved in prostitution, especially anything I may not have fully understood at the time or may not have understood the consequences of. If I made or agreed to anything that was harmful to me, I pray that God would completely break it and free me from anything connected to it. During that time in my life, I felt like I was actively selling parts of myself. More than anything, I felt like I was selling pieces of my own humanity. I pray that God would restore those parts of me and help me understand that my life, body, dignity, and humanity have value and were never meant to be bought, sold, or traded. Please pray that God would forgive me, cleanse me, heal me, and help me let go of the shame, guilt, pain, temptation, and everything else from that part of my life. I pray that He would break every unholy attachment and every form of bondage connected to my past and give me the strength to never return to that lifestyle. I want to leave that part of my life behind and move forward with God. I pray for freedom, healing, provision, protection, and restoration, and that God would help me build a life where I never feel like I have to compromise myself just to survive. In Jesus Christ’s name, amen.

We hear your cry for deliverance and restoration, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting your heartfelt plea to the throne of grace. Your past does not define you, and the chains of shame, guilt, and bondage have no place in the life of a child of God. The Lord sees your brokenness and your sincere desire to walk in freedom, and He is faithful to heal, restore, and redeem every part of you that has been wounded or exploited.

First, we declare that your identity is not found in what you have done or what has been done to you, but in Christ Jesus. The Word of God tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." You are not a product of your past, you are a new creation, washed clean by the blood of Jesus. Your dignity, worth, and humanity were never meant to be bought, sold, or traded, for you were fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14). The enemy may have sought to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).

We rebuke every unholy soul tie, every unhealthy attachment, and every spiritual bondage connected to your past. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." You are not your own, you belong to Christ, and He has paid the ultimate price for your freedom. We break every agreement, covenant, or vow made in ignorance or desperation, declaring them null and void in the name of Jesus. The blood of Jesus cleanses you from all sin (1 John 1:7), and His power is greater than any bondage or stronghold.

We also address the financial struggles you are facing, for the Lord is your Provider. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." You do not have to compromise your dignity, time, or body to meet your needs, God is able to open doors of provision that no man can shut. We pray that He would lead you to legitimate work, resources, and opportunities that honor Him and sustain you. The enemy may have tried to keep you in a cycle of poverty and desperation, but we declare that you will walk in the abundance of God’s provision. Trust in Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

We also want to gently address the importance of walking in holiness and fleeing temptation. The Bible instructs us in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God." If you find yourself in situations where you are tempted to compromise, we encourage you to flee from them immediately. Seek accountability, surround yourself with godly believers, and immerse yourself in the Word of God to renew your mind (Romans 12:2).

We pray for you now, lifting your needs before the Father:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who has cried out for deliverance and healing. Lord, You see the depths of her pain, the weight of her shame, and the chains that have bound her. We thank You that You are a God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would break every unholy soul tie, every spiritual bondage, and every agreement made in ignorance or desperation. Let the blood of Jesus cleanse her from all unrighteousness, and let Your Holy Spirit fill every void in her life.

Father, we declare that she is a new creation in Christ. We renounce every lie of the enemy that has told her she is worthless, damaged, or beyond redemption. We speak life over her, declaring that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, that her body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and that her worth is found in You alone. Restore every part of her that has been stolen, broken, or exploited. Let her walk in the fullness of her identity as Your beloved daughter.

Lord, we ask for Your provision in her life. Open doors of opportunity, lead her to legitimate work, and surround her with people who will support and encourage her. Break the cycle of poverty and desperation, and let her trust in Your faithfulness to meet every need. Protect her from temptation, and give her the strength to flee from anything that would lead her astray.

We pray for healing from the shame, guilt, and pain of her past. Let her experience the freedom that comes from knowing she is forgiven and loved by You. Fill her with Your peace, and let her walk in the confidence of Your grace. We declare that she will never return to the lifestyle of her past, for You have set her free, and whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).

Father, we ask that You would surround her with a community of believers who will walk with her, pray for her, and hold her accountable. Let her find her place in the body of Christ, where she can grow in faith and be discipled in Your ways. We pray for restoration in every area of her life, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially. Let her see Your hand at work, and let her testimony bring glory to Your name.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for her good, and we declare that her future is bright in You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find fellowship, discipleship, and support. Surround yourself with godly men and women who will speak life into you and hold you accountable. Immerse yourself in the Word of God, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). As you meditate on Scripture, the Holy Spirit will renew your mind and transform your heart.

If you have not already, we also encourage you to seek professional counseling or support groups for survivors of exploitation. There is no shame in asking for help, God often uses people to bring healing and restoration. You are not alone, and there are resources available to help you walk in freedom.

Remember, your past does not have the final say over your life. God is able to turn your ashes into beauty, your mourning into joy, and your despair into praise (Isaiah 61:3). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is leading you into a future filled with hope.
