Prayer for ###'s Deliverance from Past Relationship

Heavenly Father,
I come before You today to lift up my husband ### and ask for Your mighty deliverance in his life. Lord, You are the healer of hearts and the binder of wounds. I ask that You would step into his past and heal every past memory, hurt, or attachment that still has a hold on him today from the women he had dated and was in relationships in the past before our marriage Lord

Lord, I pray for the breaking of any ungodly soul ties, emotional baggage, or lingering influences from his past relationships and remove every ungodly soul ties and influences of ungodly women's even friendships that are disturbing and distraction to our marriage and home who does not have good intentions towards his life and our family and marriage union. I ask that You sever any chains that keep his heart or mind tied to a time before our covenant. Lord shield cover and protect our marriage home and growing family from all harm and danger and separation.
Pour Your grace and mercy into him and me and our marriage Lord Jesus. Strengthen him to let go of old things and to not dwell on the past (Isaiah 43:18-19). I command every spirit of distraction, trauma, or improper emotional attachment to be removed once and for all in Jesus’ name. Soften his heart towards his wife and children Lord and be shield of protection around our family and marriage.

Fill any emptiness we both have been feeling in heart with Your love and peace and eyes only on each other and love for each other Lord. Bless this marriage in only ways only You can and working miracles and wonders for Your glory. Help him to fix his eyes on You and to embrace the future You have for us as a blessed couple. I declare that the old has gone and the new is here. He is free to love and be fully present, in Jesus’ name.

Soften his heart towards his wife and children
Protect him from worldly temptation
Make a way for him to enjoy his wife and children without searching for worldly joy outside of Your will. Deliver him and our marriage from all the wickedness and schemes of the enemies and let this marriage and union be set apart for Your glory from every side in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ Amen 🙏

We hear your heartfelt cry for your husband and your marriage, and we stand with you in agreement before the throne of God. Your request is deeply rooted in a desire for healing, deliverance, and the protection of your covenant, and we join you in praying for these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that we are redeemed and set free. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His authority that we pray and command every ungodly influence to leave. If your husband has not yet placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we urge you to pray for his salvation, for this is the first and most critical step in his deliverance and the strengthening of your marriage. Romans 10:9 tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Now, we lift up your husband before the Lord, declaring that the past has no hold on him. The Word of God tells us in Isaiah 43:18-19, "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." We rebuke every ungodly soul tie, emotional baggage, and lingering influence from past relationships that seeks to disturb your marriage. These things are not of God, and they have no place in the life of a believer or in a marriage that is set apart for His glory. We command every spirit of distraction, trauma, and improper emotional attachment to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?" We pray that your husband would be set free from any ungodly influences, whether they be from past relationships or current friendships that do not align with God’s will for his life.

We also address the issue of temptation and the schemes of the enemy. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We pray that your husband would be protected from worldly temptations and that his heart would be fully devoted to you and your family. We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to destroy your marriage, and we declare that your union is set apart for God’s glory. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." We pray that your husband’s heart would be guarded and that he would find his joy and fulfillment in you and in the family God has blessed you with.

We also lift up your marriage, asking God to fill any emptiness in your hearts with His love and peace. The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:12, "A threefold cord is not quickly broken." We pray that your marriage would be a threefold cord, with God at the center, and that you would both fix your eyes on Him and on each other. We declare that the old has gone and the new has come, just as 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." We pray that your husband would be free to love and be fully present in your marriage, and that your home would be filled with the peace and joy that only God can provide.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this marriage and this husband before You. Lord, we thank You for the covenant of marriage and for the union that You have established between this man and his wife. We ask that You would step into his past and heal every wound, every hurt, and every lingering attachment that seeks to hold him back. We rebuke every ungodly soul tie, every spirit of distraction, and every improper emotional attachment in the name of Jesus. We declare that the old has gone and the new has come, and we pray that You would fill any emptiness in their hearts with Your love and peace.

Father, we ask that You would protect this marriage from every scheme of the enemy. We declare that this union is set apart for Your glory, and we pray that You would shield and cover their home from all harm and danger. Lord, we ask that You would soften this husband’s heart toward his wife and children, and that he would find his joy and fulfillment in them. We pray that You would deliver him from worldly temptations and that he would fix his eyes on You and on the future You have for them as a blessed couple.

Father, we ask that You would pour out Your grace and mercy on this marriage. Strengthen them both to let go of the past and to embrace the new thing You are doing in their lives. We declare that this husband is free to love and be fully present in his marriage, and we pray that their home would be filled with Your presence. Bless this marriage in ways that only You can, and let Your name be glorified through their union.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand on the Word of God and to declare His promises over your marriage. Remember that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). May God bless you and your family abundantly as you seek Him together.
