My dog ###

Disciple of Prayer
I’m worried about a lump under my dogs right arm pit and praying ut isn’t cancerous and doesn’t grow . Please pray that God will provide me enough sales at my new role so I can take care of my beloved dog . I love him so much and can’t focus on my job because of worry . God bless you and thank you .

We join you in lifting up your beloved dog and your own heart before the Lord, for we hear how much you love him and how heavy this worry has become for you.

We are reminded of how tenderly God cares for His creation. Proverbs 12:10 tells us a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and Matthew 10:29-31 reminds us that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without our Father seeing it, and you are of much more value than many sparrows. Your love and stewardship for your dog reflects the compassion God has placed in you, and we thank Him for that bond.

We also hear your concern about provision for his care through your new role and the anxiety that makes it hard to focus on your work. Scripture speaks directly to this worry. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7 encourages us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Philippians 4:19 assures us my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. When we seek Him first, He is faithful to provide what we need, Matthew 6:33 says But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.

We gently want to share with you that you closed your request asking for Gods blessing but did not mention the name of Jesus. We want you to know how much we treasure that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears our prayers. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in His name, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray with assurance.

We also encourage you in practical love to have your dog examined promptly by a veterinarian if you have not already, trusting God to give wisdom to those who care for him, and to continue to be diligent in your new role as unto the Lord, Colossians 3:23, trusting Him with the outcome while you do your work faithfully.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one and this beloved dog to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the lump under his right armpit and You know our worry that it could be cancerous or that it could grow. We ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon this little life You created. We pray that this lump would not be cancerous, that it would not grow, and that it would resolve or be treatable with simple care. Give wisdom and discernment to any veterinarian who examines him, and provide clear answers and peace.

Father, we also ask for Your provision over this new role. You know the financial need to care well for this dog and to meet daily needs. We ask that You would open doors for sales and for favor in this work, that You would grant focus, clarity, and diligence when worry tries to distract, and that You would supply all that is needed according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Calm this anxious heart, Lord, and guard it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help our friend to cast every burden on You and to rest in Your faithful care, seeking first Your Kingdom and trusting You for all else.

We pray that You would draw this heart closer to Jesus, to know the full assurance of coming to You through His name, and to experience Your comfort and presence each day. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our Savior, Amen.

We can hear how dear your dog is to you and how the worry about that lump has made it hard to concentrate at work. Loving an animal so deeply and then facing an unknown like this is really hard, especially when you are also trying to get established in a new role.

We are joining you in prayer for your dog and for peace as you wait for answers. Alongside prayer, we gently encourage you to reach out to your veterinarian soon if you have not already, so they can examine the lump and guide you on next steps. It can help to jot down when you first noticed it and any changes you have seen to share with them. If cost is a concern, you can ask the clinic about exam fees and payment options ahead of time.

For work, it makes sense that focus is tough right now. Be kind to yourself as you carry this. If you have a trusted manager or mentor, letting them know you are navigating a personal concern while you are learning the role can sometimes ease pressure, and breaking your sales tasks into smaller steps for each day may help you stay present.

Father, we lift up this beloved dog to You and ask for Your care over him. We ask for wisdom for the veterinarian, for provision and steadiness in this new job, and for calm in the waiting. Lead and comfort our friend, in Jesus name, amen.

Your compassionate care for this creature is seen by the Lord, and your burden about his infirmity and your daily work has been brought before the throne of grace. I have prayed for you and for your beloved dog, that the Lord in His mercy would be pleased to stay the growth of this lump and spare him from grievous disease, and that He would grant you peace in the midst of this worry.

You do well to cry unto God most high, unto God that performs all things for you. He sees every worm that crawls and every sparrow that falls, and how much more does He see His child who comes to Him in trouble. The whole world is full of God to him who believes in God, and there is no place where you cannot have communion with Him, whether by the sick bed of a faithful companion or at the desk where your labor is required.

Remember the word, What time I am afraid, I will trust in You. Fear and trust may be in the heart together for a season, but trust is to overcome fear. Do not give up prayer because anxiety presses you, but pray the more earnestly. Go and do the right thing in your new role with diligence and honesty, and then be no longer anxious about it, but leave the result with God. He is the God of the hills and the God of the valleys, able to provide in small things as in great, and He will sooner send help from heaven for His people than that they should be left without what they truly need.

I have asked the Lord to provide for you in this new employment, to give you sufficient sales to meet your needs and to care for your dog, and to quiet your spirit so that you may focus on the duties He has placed before you. Rest in the shadow of His wings and make your refuge there. Where He begins a good work He completes it, and if you have trusted the blood of Jesus Christ for the pardon of your sins, you may surely trust His hand for all lesser things.

May the Lord teach you His statutes in this trial, increase your faith, and grant you to rejoice in present peace while you rest in hope of His glory. May He lay His gracious hand upon your dog and keep him according to His perfect will, and may He keep your heart stayed upon Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Last week, on another account, I posted a request about my dog, who ate a chicken wing. I asked everyone to pray that the bones wouldn't puncture his body. Over a week has passed, and he's doing fine!! He's showing no signs of discomfort or fatigue. He is alert and energetic as he usually is...
