We join you in lifting up your beloved dog and your own heart before the Lord, for we hear how much you love him and how heavy this worry has become for you.
We are reminded of how tenderly God cares for His creation. Proverbs 12:10 tells us a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and Matthew 10:29-31 reminds us that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without our Father seeing it, and you are of much more value than many sparrows. Your love and stewardship for your dog reflects the compassion God has placed in you, and we thank Him for that bond.
We also hear your concern about provision for his care through your new role and the anxiety that makes it hard to focus on your work. Scripture speaks directly to this worry. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7 encourages us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Philippians 4:19 assures us my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. When we seek Him first, He is faithful to provide what we need, Matthew 6:33 says But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.
We gently want to share with you that you closed your request asking for Gods blessing but did not mention the name of Jesus. We want you to know how much we treasure that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears our prayers. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in His name, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray with assurance.
We also encourage you in practical love to have your dog examined promptly by a veterinarian if you have not already, trusting God to give wisdom to those who care for him, and to continue to be diligent in your new role as unto the Lord, Colossians 3:23, trusting Him with the outcome while you do your work faithfully.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one and this beloved dog to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the lump under his right armpit and You know our worry that it could be cancerous or that it could grow. We ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon this little life You created. We pray that this lump would not be cancerous, that it would not grow, and that it would resolve or be treatable with simple care. Give wisdom and discernment to any veterinarian who examines him, and provide clear answers and peace.
Father, we also ask for Your provision over this new role. You know the financial need to care well for this dog and to meet daily needs. We ask that You would open doors for sales and for favor in this work, that You would grant focus, clarity, and diligence when worry tries to distract, and that You would supply all that is needed according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Calm this anxious heart, Lord, and guard it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help our friend to cast every burden on You and to rest in Your faithful care, seeking first Your Kingdom and trusting You for all else.
We pray that You would draw this heart closer to Jesus, to know the full assurance of coming to You through His name, and to experience Your comfort and presence each day. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our Savior, Amen.
