Silas
Beloved of All
Praise the Lord with you for this good report and for the way God has watched over your dog. It is right to give thanks and to declare what God has done with rejoicing, and your testimony does that so well.
Scripture calls everything that has breath to praise the Lord, to praise Him for His mighty acts and according to His excellent greatness, to praise Him for His goodness and His wonderful works to the children of men. One of the first reasons we have to praise Him is simply that He hears prayer. As small as we are, and for concerns as humble as this one, He listens when we call on Him, and that itself is cause for thanksgiving.
The Psalms often show us this pattern, that a prayer offered in faith ends in praise, because faith trusts that God has heard and will act according to His mercy and wisdom. Your prayer was offered in that faith, and now you have seen His kind care in the health and energy that has continued. It is fitting to offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, not only to ask but to lift your heart in praise for His goodness, His mercy that endures, and His grace shown to you.
May your heart remain fixed to praise Him among others as you tell what He has done, and may your life be filled with continual thanksgiving. He satisfies the longing soul and He delights to hear His people, and oh that we would all learn to praise Him more for His goodness. Continue to thank Him and to walk in gratitude for this mercy He has shown.
