Help! ..😭..😭I really prayed and cried a lot..

I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...

We rejoice with you and give all glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already worked in your life, and we thank Him for hearing your prayers and your tears. It is God who gives both the desire and the power to turn from sin and to walk in holiness, and we praise Him for His mercy and faithfulness toward you.

We also hear your cry for lasting and true deliverance, and we agree with you that these sins must be removed completely from your life and heart for the glory of God. The Scripture is clear that sexual sin is not a small matter. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18. Jesus taught that lust itself is sin in the heart, for everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matthew 5:28. Pornography, masturbation, and flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly courtship leading to marriage all flow from lust and are forms of fornication that God calls us to forsake. The flirting that seeks to stir desire or gain attention is not pure, and we are called to guard our hearts, for out of it are the issues of life, Proverbs 4:23, and to pursue purity that honors marriage between a man and a woman as God designed.

We encourage you that lasting victory does not come by willpower alone but by the renewing of your mind and walking by the Spirit. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Romans 12:2. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me, Psalm 51:10. We must bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and make no provision for the flesh. Walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh, Galatians 5:16. If sin has come through what your eyes see, cut it off at the source, remove access, flee temptation, and fill your mind with what is pure, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, think about these things, Philippians 4:8. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13. We encourage you to walk in the light with a trusted mature believer for accountability, to confess and forsake sin quickly, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9, and to submit to God and resist the devil and he will flee from you, James 4:7.

We join our faith with yours and pray together in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and we thank You for the work You have already begun in our brother. We give You all glory for every step of progress and we ask You to complete what You have started. Lord, have mercy and show Your deliverance. Renew his mind, wash him with Your Word, and make him very wise to discern and hate sin and to love righteousness. Set a guard over his eyes and his heart, lead him away from every place and influence that tempts him to fall, and teach him to flee sexual immorality and to walk in purity. Create in him a clean heart, strengthen him by Your Holy Spirit to walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh, and let every thought be taken captive to Christ. Give him understanding of Your will, speak to him through Your Word, fill him with a deep love for You that makes these sins forever far from him, and let his life bear lasting fruit for Your glory. We ask that You help him to pursue holiness and, if it is Your will for him to marry, to pursue a godly courtship with a believing spouse in purity and honor. Keep him in Your grace, restore joy, and let him know that Your mercy is new every morning. We pray all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We thank you for letting us in on both the victory and the ongoing burden you carry. We rejoice with you that you are seeing real improvement, and we join you in giving glory to the Lord Jesus for that. It matters that you have noticed change, and it also matters that you are still weeping and asking for more lasting freedom. That honesty is a good place to be.

We have found that lasting growth rarely comes from a single moment alone, even a powerful one. It tends to grow as a daily walk, with practical supports around it. Isolation makes any struggle harder, while having another trusted person who knows the real story and can ask honest questions makes it easier to stay steady. Many find that a small, consistent rhythm helps, a regular check in with one mature same sex believer or pastor, clearing away whatever still gives easy access to temptation, and staying rooted in time with the Lord not out of duty but to keep your mind renewed.

If you do not already have that kind of support, would you consider inviting one safe person into this part of your life this week, someone who can walk with you quietly and consistently. A pastor or Christian counselor can also be a steady help alongside prayer if you want more ongoing support.

Father, we thank you for the work you have already done in our friend's life. We ask for your mercy, for a renewed mind and a steady heart, and for daily strength to walk in purity for your glory. Guard and guide our friend, and draw them close to Jesus where true freedom is found. In Jesus' name, amen.

We give thanks with you unto the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already wrought, and we give Him all the glory for it. To see lust lose its power and to find the soul beginning to escape the corruption that is in the world through lust is no small mercy, for it is evidence that a higher nature, born by regeneration, is at work within you, making you a partaker of the Divine Nature and lifting you into fellowship with God.

You have prayed and cried much, and we would have you know that the Lord does not shut His ear to such cries. When a child of God in deep distress looks steadily to his Father for deliverance, that look has mighty power with Him. Yet we must remember what the Scripture teaches, that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He must bring you forth, for you cannot bring yourself forth.

You are right to desire that these sins be removed forever from your life and heart, and not merely restrained for a season. Any sin, whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death, for when lust has conceived it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. That is the sure pedigree of sin. And without holiness no man shall see the Lord. Charity without purity will be of no use, and purity without charity is not the garment of Christ. Therefore we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for sanctification, even as we look to Him for justification.

Hear the good news for your comfort. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, He has found a ransom. The prisoner ready to be executed hears the word, I have found a ransom, and his deliverance is certain, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. This deliverance came when the Lamb was slain. It is already accomplished at Calvary, and it is made effectual in us by His Spirit. He who delivered His people with silver and gold of old still attends His deliverance with enrichment, giving grace and wisdom and strength where once there was only poverty and bondage.

Let us pray together for you now.

O Lord our God, who has begun a good work, perfect it unto the day of Jesus Christ. We beseech Thee to work in our brother a lasting and true deliverance, for Thy glory alone. Renew his mind by Thy Word and Thy Spirit, make him very wise to flee from every appearance of evil and to keep far from the cup of lust which makes the very bones to rot. Grant him understanding, give him a watchful heart, and speak to him in mercy. Let him look to Christ, his living and familiar Friend, for all things, and find that to look to Jesus is to overcome. Keep him in purity, and make him to walk in holiness, that he may live and declare the works of the Lord. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, our only Ransom and Deliverer. Amen.

Take courage and continue to declare what the Lord has done for you, for if we had no troubles we would have less to declare. After affliction and after deliverance the believer says, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Keep close to Christ, shun the occasions of sin, fill your mind with Scripture, seek the fellowship of the saints, and cry daily for fresh grace. He who has delivered you will deliver you still.
