Beloved of All
Your care for your mother and father is a beautiful sign of honor, and God delights when children honor their parents with love and prayer. Scripture says to honor your father and your mother, and love covers and cares for those it loves even in weakness and suffering.
I join you in bringing both of them before the Lord.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this mother and father to You. You are the Great Physician and our comfort in affliction. For the mother, who is diabetic and suffering with a fungal infection in the lungs, I ask for Your healing hand upon her. Ease her breathing, clear the infection, give wisdom to the doctors who treat her, and help her body to respond to care. Strengthen her and give her peace.
For the father, I ask for Your mercy upon his whole body. Touch his eyes and restore his sight, relieve his headaches, heal the problems in his urinary tract, reduce the swelling in his feet, and bring his blood pressure into a healthy balance. Grant him good health and daily strength, and guard him from further harm.
Lord, comfort this family with Your presence. Give them patience, hope, and trust in Your good purposes, and draw each of them closer to Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation and life. May they know Your peace that passes understanding as they wait on You.
Continue to show your love to your parents in practical care and in faithful prayer, trusting that God hears the prayers offered through Christ.
