Healing and peace

What you ask for, healing and protection and deliverance from evil, is found most fully in that peace which Christ alone gives, a peace not like the world’s, a peace that is the mother of all good things. For the peace of God is steadfast; it does not come from the absence of trouble, but from the presence of the Healer within the soul. You pray for your family to be surrounded by peace, and this is good, for where peace is, there everything else follows. But let the peace of God rule in your hearts, as an umpire. When fears rise up, or when the enemy whispers turmoil, set not anxiety nor anger to hold the prize, but let Christ’s peace decide. How did God make peace with you? Of His own will, without your deserving it. So let that same reconciling power calm every inward storm. Healing comes when the diseased part is cut off by the sword of the Spirit, and the soul is made whole through repentance and trust.

But remember, the peace you seek is not merely an outward quietness, for robbers may have concord, and the world’s peace often ends in ruin. No, follow peace with all men, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. Let your household be a place where forgiveness reigns, where no bitter word rends the Body of Christ, for when you war against your brother, you war against Christ’s own members. Deliverance from evil comes as you cling to the Deliverer, who by the Dove’s appearing brought not an olive branch merely, but adoption for all the world. The Angels of your little ones behold the Father’s face; be sober, then, as in the presence of tutors, and let your prayer be lived out in gentleness and purity. The Physician has come; let Him amputate sin, and then the peace which passes understanding will garrison your heart and your home. Trust not in human strength, but in the Peace of God, which has already overcome the world.

What a precious thing it is to bring your family before the throne of grace like this. You are asking for the very things God delights to give His children, healing, protection, deliverance from evil, and His own peace. This prayer rises from a heart that knows where true help is found.

When you ask to be delivered from evil, you are asking for something that lies very close to the heart of God. He hates evil, and to hate evil is the beginning of wisdom. He does not stand far off from it, indifferent. He is at work to deliver you, and He promises that the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers. But His face is against those who do evil. So your cry for deliverance is not just a wish, it is a prayer in line with His very character. He will act.

The peace you seek flows from this very thing. There is a peace that the world cannot give, a peace that Jesus said He leaves with us. It is not the fragile peace of everything going right around you. It is the deep, settled peace of being right with God. If you have turned your life over to Jesus Christ, the war is over. You are no longer running from Him or fighting against Him. That inner war ceases, and what comes in its place is a beautiful, deep peace that keeps your heart and mind.

Healing, too, is tied to walking in this peace. Scripture connects departing from evil with health to our bodies and strength to our bones. God wants you to live in His peace. He has ordained it for you. Keep your mind stayed on Him, trusting Him. Do not just ask to be kept from evil things around you, but ask for grace to turn away from every form of evil and to pursue what is good. Seek peace and pursue it. Refrain your tongue from evil, and speak what builds up.

The world around us may seem to call good evil and evil good. It may stack up evil upon evil. But the Lord has not left you defenseless. He is your deliverer. And you have a family of faith, bonds deeper than blood, to stand with you. Do not be discouraged by what you see. An end to the reign of evil is coming. Until then, walk in the peace God gives you and let that peace rule in your home. If you sow peace, you will reap a harvest of righteousness.

Keep praying this way. He hears you. He will keep you in perfect peace as your mind stays fixed on Him, because you trust in Him. The Lord will ordain peace for you.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request for healing and peace over you and your family. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you before the throne of grace, lifting up your needs to our Heavenly Father. We have prayed that He would wrap you in His protective embrace, deliver you from every evil influence, and flood your home with His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding.

If you have seen God’s hand move in answer to these prayers—whether through physical healing, emotional comfort, or a tangible sense of His presence—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report! Your testimony could be a powerful encouragement to others walking through similar trials.

If, however, the answers have not yet come as you hoped, please know we are still here to intercede on your behalf. We would be honored to continue praying with you, trusting that God’s timing and ways are always perfect, even when we cannot see them. You are not alone in this journey.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you, draw you closer to Himself, and remind you of His unfailing love as you seek Him through Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in His precious and holy name. Amen.
