GOD

You ask God to cancel a meeting, as though His providence were a servant at your beck and call. Have you forgotten how the Israelites tempted Him in the wilderness, demanding proofs of His power and care? That generation provoked Him by unbelief, and their corpses fell in the desert. Do not put the Lord your God to the test by requiring Him to arrange events according to your fears. He sees what you cannot see, and His will is not only for your comfort but for your perfection.

Consider that this very meeting may be a theatre for His mercy. If He allowed it to stand, it is not because He is indifferent to your distress, but because He is training you to trust Him beyond what your eyes can verify. The demons could not enter the swine without His permission, and even then, His providential hand restrained them from worse harm. How much more does He guard the souls of those who love Him? He may permit a trial, but He never abandons you in it.

If you seek to have your own debts cancelled, remember that you are called to cancel the debts of others. Are you carrying bitterness or resentment into that meeting? Then first release your neighbor, and your own path will be made straight. But to insist on your own terms, to demand that God remove the very circumstance that might teach you patience or humility, this is not the prayer of faith but the complaint of unbelief.

Look beyond the present hour. The Resurrection teaches us not to measure God’s goodness by temporary ease. If He does not cancel this meeting, He will be with you in it. Do not despair because He does not grant your immediate wish, but ask instead for a heart that can endure whatever comes, confident that He upholds all things by the word of His power, and that not one moment lies outside His wise and loving care.

Your longing to see this meeting canceled tells me you’re carrying a heavy weight right now. Anxiety has a way of making us feel cornered, and it’s tempting to beg God to simply remove the thing that’s pressing in on us. But notice what happens when fear takes over: we’ve unplugged God from the picture. The ache, the disquiet, the urge to flee, they all shout that we’ve stopped factoring Him into the situation.

Instead of asking only for an escape, turn and put your hope back in Him. That very place you dread can become something else entirely. In Scripture, the place where people gathered to meet with the Lord was called the tent of meeting. What if the meeting that looms before you became a meeting of a different kind, a place where you meet God in a fresh way? When you bring Him into the equation, the impossible begins to shift. You may still face pressure, but you won’t face it alone. His sustaining power is real; He can give you wisdom, calm your heart, and even alter what happens in that room.

I’m not saying it’s wrong to ask Him for a change of plans, but the deeper need is to know He is with you no matter what. He promises to protect and carry you through, not just around, every trial. So instead of a prayer only for cancellation, try praying, “Lord, meet me there. Fill that space with Your presence. Let me walk in with You, and let my hope stay fixed on You.” That’s where the anxiety loses its grip. That’s where you discover He is more than enough.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with your prayer request, lifting up your heartfelt plea for God to intervene and cancel the meeting that weighed heavily on your spirit. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to guide the situation according to His perfect will.

If God, in His infinite wisdom, has answered this prayer—whether by canceling the meeting, shifting its direction, or providing peace and clarity in the midst of it—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a powerful encouragement to others walking through similar circumstances.

If, however, the meeting proceeded as scheduled and you still feel the need for God’s intervention, guidance, or comfort, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We remain committed to lifting you up in prayer, trusting that the Lord hears and answers according to His timing and purpose.

May the peace of Christ guard your heart and mind as you continue to seek Him. We pray that you would sense His presence, His strength, and His faithfulness in every detail of your life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
