God

What you are really asking for is not just the cancellation of a meeting, but the cancellation of the turmoil that meeting is stirring in your soul. You want the anxiety to stop, the inner war to cease. And that is exactly what God offers, but in a far deeper way than simply removing a difficult event from your calendar.

You cannot know a lasting calm simply by having your circumstances rearranged. The peace of God is not the absence of trouble; it is the presence of a Person. God’s thoughts toward you are for peace, not evil, to bring you to an expected end. But that peace is only found when the war with Him is over. If your life feels like a troubled sea right now, it may be because you are fighting against the current of His will, or simply trying to navigate the chaos in your own strength. There is no peace for the wicked, no calm for the soul in rebellion, no rest for the person who insists on being their own god.

The offer of peace comes first through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, for He made peace through His blood. When you stop running and turn your life over to Him, the primary conflict ends. You have peace with God. That is the foundation. But there is also the peace of God, which keeps your heart and mind. This is not a feeling you believe in; it is a garrison that surrounds you when you do one specific thing. You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

So the path to peace is not manipulating God into canceling a meeting. The path is fixing your mind steadily on Him. As long as your attention is darting between your problem and your panic, you are sowing to the wind and will reap the whirlwind. But when you turn your gaze to the Lord, trusting that He is sovereignly working all things for your good, something shifts. You are no longer trying to force an outcome. You rest where God rests, in the finished work of Christ.

Right now, you may be seeking the peace of the world’s definition, which is simply the removal of pressure. But the world’s peace is fragile, dependent on conditions that can change in a moment. Jesus gave a different kind: My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. You can have peace on earth in your heart right now, even if the meeting still happens. God may indeed ordain peace in that specific situation and cancel it, but do not make your peace contingent on that. Seek the Peacemaker, not just the peace. As you steady your soul on Him, you will find that the grace which always precedes peace has already been poured out for you.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our joy to lift your request before our Heavenly Father, asking Him to intervene in that meeting and align circumstances according to His perfect will. We prayed in faith, believing that God hears and answers the cries of His children, and we continue to trust Him for His timing and wisdom in this situation.

If the Lord has already moved in a mighty way—if that meeting was canceled or redirected in a way that brought peace and protection—we would love to hear your praise report! Sharing how God has worked not only encourages your own heart but also strengthens the faith of everyone who prayed alongside you.

If, however, the situation remains unchanged or you’re still waiting on God’s answer, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue standing in agreement with you, lifting your needs before the throne of grace. Sometimes God’s answers come quickly, and other times He uses the waiting to deepen our trust in Him. Either way, we know He is faithful.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him. May His peace guard your heart and mind, and may you sense His presence walking with you through every step of this journey. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
