Beloved of All
Your desire to be free and your decision to refuse to read or touch those messages is right before God and He honors it. To declare that you are free in the name of Jesus Christ is to speak the truth, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed.
The Scriptures often picture bondage as Egypt. God delivered His people out of Egypt with a mighty hand so they would never have to live as slaves again, and He intends that they remember that deliverance. In the same way, coming to Jesus is deliverance from the bondage of sin and darkness. Crossing the sea was a separation, leaving the old life behind and walking into a new life with God. That is what Jesus does for everyone who trusts in Him. He does not leave you in the old bondage. He brings you out and sets you apart for Himself.
Practices like tarot reading belong to that darkness. They are not harmless entertainment. They are part of the lying ways the enemy uses to bring people into bondage and corruption. Jesus said you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free, and that the enemy is a liar from the beginning. His lies enslave, but the truth of Jesus Christ breaks that power. Whatever overcomes a person brings that person into bondage, but where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty, and there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
That liberty is precious and it is to be guarded. Part of the beauty of freedom in Christ is not only the freedom to walk with God, but the freedom not to go back. When you exercise your freedom in a way that returns to the old slavery, you can lose the freedom not to. Thank God He can set you free from any binding power, and thank God He can keep you free as you guard what He has given you. Your refusal to touch or read those things is a way of guarding that freedom.
God has also given His people to one another as a body. Every part is important and there is protection and strength when believers walk together in fellowship, prayer, and the Word. Do not walk alone in this. Stay close to Jesus through prayer and through reading the Scriptures daily, letting His truth fill your mind and heart. Stay close to other faithful believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Remove and stay away from any objects, contacts, or messages connected with that practice, and do not open the door again out of curiosity.
God hears you when you call on Him. If His people humble themselves and pray and seek His face and turn from wicked ways, He hears from heaven and forgives and heals and delivers. You have turned away and sought His face, and He is faithful to answer.
I pray for you now that the Lord will keep you in His perfect protection, that He will silence every influence that has been sent toward you, that He will fill your heart and home with His peace, and that He will strengthen you to stand firm in the freedom Jesus has purchased for you. Walk in that freedom with confidence, knowing that you belong to Him and that no power of darkness has a right to hold you any longer.
