Please pray for my for my nephew ###. He is associating with the wrong people. We are very concerned and scared that he would ruin his life. He ran away from home and has not come back yet for a week now. We are very worried. Please pray that he would be protected by the grace of God and come home now. May God touch his heart and be changed. Please also pray for the people that he is around with. I also pray for my financial situation right now. May God help me to pay my bills. I pray that God would give me the job that I have also been praying for. Thank you so much for your prayers.

We join with you in prayer for your nephew and we share your deep concern and worry for him during this frightening week while he has been away from home. We know how heavy this burden is on your heart and we bring him before the Lord together with you, asking for God's mercy and protection over him.

The Scriptures warn us that bad company corrupts good morals as we read in 1 Corinthians 15:33 and that he who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm in Proverbs 13:20. We pray that the Lord would open his eyes to see the danger of the path he is on and draw him away from those who would lead him astray. We are reminded of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 who left his father's house and went into a far country, yet while he was still far off his father saw him and ran to embrace him. Even so we pray that your nephew's heart would be softened and that he would come to his senses and return home where he is loved and safe. The Lord promises that he is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a crushed spirit in Psalm 34:18 and that he will give his angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways in Psalm 91:11.

We also lift up the people he is associating with, that God would touch their hearts as well and that they would not lead him into harm but that your nephew would even be a light to them or be removed from their harmful influence.

We also join you in prayer for your financial needs and for employment. We understand the anxiety that comes when bills are pressing and work is uncertain. God knows your needs and He calls us not to be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God in Philippians 4:6. He has promised to supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus in Philippians 4:19 and to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well in Matthew 6:33. We pray that He would open the right door for the job you have been praying for, that it would be a place where you can provide for your needs and use the gifts He has given you for His glory.

We want to gently share with you that in your request you spoke of God and His grace but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to encourage you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can boldly come to God in prayer and know that we are heard and forgiven. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believing that He shed His blood for you and that God raised Him from the dead, and to call upon His name in all your prayers.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear nephew to You. Lord, You see where he is and You know the company he is with. We ask that You place a hedge of protection around him, keep him from physical harm and from spiritual ruin, and convict his heart of his need to return home. Touch his heart, Lord, and turn him toward You and toward his family who love him. Bring him home safely and soon, and bring godly sorrow and repentance that leads to a changed life. We pray also for those he is with, that You would work in their lives and that their influence over him would be broken. Lord, we also lift up this dear one who is carrying financial burdens. You know every bill and every need. Provide for them according to Your riches, grant favor in the search for work, and give peace that passes all understanding while they wait on You. Help them to trust You more deeply and to seek You first. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray fervently and to seek help from your local church family and, if he is a minor or in danger, to also involve the proper authorities to help ensure his safe return. Trust that God hears your prayers and that He loves your nephew even more than you do. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you in 1 Peter 5:7. We will continue to stand with you in prayer until you have good news of his safe return and of God's provision for you.

It also helps to keep one calm, open line of communication if he does reach out, so he knows home is still a safe place to return to without a lecture waiting. Letting other trusted family, friends, or a pastor know can share the watch and the prayer burden so you are not carrying this alone.

For the financial strain and the job you have been hoping for, we understand how exhausting that wait can be. Alongside prayer, it can help to talk with a trusted financial counselor or a local church or community agency that offers budgeting help, and to let someone you trust review applications or interview preparation with you.

Father, we bring this nephew before You and ask for Your protection over him and the people he is with. Touch his heart and draw him toward home, and give his family peace and clear next steps. Your burden has been brought before the Lord with much heaviness of heart, and we join our prayers with yours for your nephew and for your own need.

We have entreated the Father in Heaven for this wandering youth who has left his home and is now among companions who may lead him further astray. We know the grief of such an hour, when a child is far off and the heart of those who love him is sore afraid. Yet we remember how the prodigal in the parable was not beyond the reach of mercy. While he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, for the old father had a very long range of eyesight, and though the prodigal could not see his father, his father could see him. Even so the Lord sees your nephew this day, in whatever place he may be. Our prayer is that God in His grace would bring him to himself, as it is written that the prodigal came to himself and desired to return to his father's house. May the Lord make his present path bitter to him, that he may hear the gracious call to return, and return now, for life is uncertain and delay is perilous. We do not ask God to bless the evil way or to prosper the companionship of sin, but we ask that He would show much forgiveness and overflowing comfort to a returning sinner. If he will but return to God through Christ, the promise stands that the Father will run and fall upon his neck and kiss him in much love, the seal of full forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ alone. We pray that the heart of this young man may be touched and changed, not by mere resolution but by Divine Grace, that he may arise and go to his father in repentance and faith, and find himself once for all a child confessed and restored.

We have prayed also for those with whom he now associates, that the Lord would have mercy upon them and not suffer them to hold him in bonds of sin, but that the same grace which can turn one prodigal may turn many, and that they also may be brought to know Christ, through whom alone there is salvation.

For your own trial we have also made supplication. You have asked for help to pay your bills and for the work of your hands to be provided. We ask the Lord who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies to supply your daily need according to His wisdom and goodness, and to open a door for honest labour whereby you may provide for your household and glorify Him. We do not presume to dictate to Providence, but we plead that He would grant you contentment with His provision and faith to trust Him, who has promised that they who seek first His kingdom shall have all needful things added unto them.

May the Lord hear this prayer, and may it be said of your nephew as of the prodigal, that he was lost and is found, and may you in your own straits prove the faithfulness of God who hears the cry of His people through Jesus Christ our only hope. We will continue to remember you both before the throne of grace.
