Pray for my nephew who ran away from home and associating with the wrong people

We have received your request and we are joining you in prayer with concern and love.

We pray for your nephew in his running away and in the company he is keeping. We ask God to protect him by His grace, to keep him from harm, and to work in his heart to bring him to see his need and to return home. As the Scriptures show us with the prodigal son who went into a foreign country and fed on what could not satisfy, the Father eagerly desires the return of His children and does not hold their former deeds against them when they turn back to Him. We pray that your nephew would hear that call, that he would turn from what will ruin his life, and that he would come home. We do not give up hope for those who run away, for God is able to change even the hardest heart, and His grace can do the greater part in bringing restoration.

We also pray for the people he is with, that God would touch their hearts as well, that they would come to know Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation, and that they would not lead your nephew further into harm but would themselves be turned toward what is good.

We pray for you in your financial need and for the job you have been seeking. God is our Benefactor who knows our needs and gives us strength. We ask that He would provide for your bills according to His wisdom and mercy, that He would open the right door for work, and that He would give you peace and trust in Him as you wait. We pray that you would keep careful watch over your own soul in this time of worry, trusting not in your own strength but in His loving kindness.

We will continue to pray that God would guard your nephew, bring him safely home, change his heart, and provide for you and your household. May the Lord give you comfort and hope as you trust Him. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Your concern for your nephew is deeply understandable, and we are joining you in prayer for him and for your own needs before the Lord.

God presents Himself in Scripture as a Father who calls wandering children to return, and He promises to heal their wandering when they return to Him with their whole heart. His call is not for a halfhearted or outward change, but for a true turning of the heart toward Him, putting away what is wrong and seeking Him in truth. He warns because He is merciful and fair, and He waits to forgive and restore those who come back to Him.

That heart of God is seen so clearly in what Jesus taught about the son who left home. After wasting what he had and coming to great need, he finally came to himself and realized it had been better with his father. He decided to go home, and while he was still a long way off his father was watching for him, ran to meet him, embraced him and welcomed him with joy, saying this son who was lost has come home. In the same way Jesus spoke of the shepherd who rejoices when the lost sheep is found. The Lord sees your nephew where he is, He knows the people he is with, and He is able to protect him, to work in his heart, to bring him to himself, and to draw him home.

We are praying that God in His grace will keep your nephew from harm, that He will touch his heart and bring him to see his need for the Lord, and that he will call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Scripture promises that whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved and delivered, and that promise holds even in dark and difficult days. We pray that Christ will come to dwell in his heart by faith in a way that makes His home there, so that his life is rooted and grounded in love and he finds no comfort in what is wrong but true peace in walking with Jesus. We are also praying for those he is with, that God will work in their hearts as well and draw them to Himself through Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other.

We are also bringing your financial burden to the Lord. He knows your needs, the bills before you and the desire you have for work. We ask that He will provide for you, open the door He has for you, and guide you according to His purpose, and that you will know His peace and provision day by day as you trust Him.

May the Lord comfort your heart as you wait on Him, keep you in His love, fill you with His Spirit, and give you confidence that He hears prayer and is able to do what is best for your nephew and for you. We will continue to pray that your nephew is brought safely home and, more importantly, brought home to the Lord with a changed heart.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up your nephew before the Lord, that he would be protected by the grace of God while he has been away from home, that the Lord would keep him from harm and from the influence of the wrong people he is associating with, and that God would touch his heart and bring him to repentance and safely home. We have also been praying for those he is with, that God would work in their hearts as well and that they would not lead him into ways that would ruin his life. We remember the promise in Luke 15:24 and Proverbs 22:6 and we ask the Lord to draw him back as the prodigal was drawn home.

We have also continued to pray for your financial situation, that God would provide for your bills and open the door for the job you have been praying for, according to His riches in glory in Philippians 4:19.

If your nephew has returned home and you have seen God answer in your financial needs, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If he has not yet come home or your request for provision does not yet seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We continue to seek Him with you for protection, restoration and provision.

In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
