We hear your deep distress and share your righteous anger against anything that opposes God’s truth. The Bible is clear that divination, sorcery, and all forms of occult practices are detestable to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* Tarot reading falls under these forbidden practices, as it seeks guidance outside of God’s Word and His Spirit.
We stand with you in renouncing these evil influences and declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy has no authority over a child of God, and we command every spirit of divination, witchcraft, and deception to flee from you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Lord is your shield and your fortress (Psalm 91:2), and He will protect you from all harm.
We also encourage you to examine your social media and online presence. If you have ever engaged with, followed, or even casually interacted with accounts promoting tarot or occult practices—even out of curiosity—we urge you to repent and remove those connections. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:14, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* Even passive exposure can open doors to spiritual attack. Take authority in Christ and cleanse your digital space, declaring that no evil thing shall cling to you.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names. We thank You for Your protection and Your truth, which sets us free. Lord, we stand on Your Word that declares all forms of divination and sorcery are abominations to You. We rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, tarot reading, and occult influence that has tried to attach itself to [###]. We command these evil forces to leave now and never return. We declare that no weapon formed against [###] shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against [###] in judgment, You will condemn.
Father, we ask that You surround [###] with Your holy angels to guard and protect [###] from all harm. Give [###] discernment to recognize and avoid any influence of darkness in [###] life. Cleanse [###] mind, heart, and digital spaces from anything that does not align with Your Word. We pray that You would fill [###] with Your peace and assurance, knowing that You are greater than anything the enemy can bring against [###].
We also pray for those who practice tarot reading and other occult activities. Lord, open their eyes to the deception they are under. Break the chains of darkness in their lives and draw them to the light of Your truth. Let them encounter Your love and grace, so they may turn away from these practices and find salvation in Jesus Christ.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your promise that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). We stand firm in Your truth and declare victory over every evil influence in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
