Disciple of Prayer
Dear god, My wife said that her boyfriend think I dont like him. I told him last Thursday night I don't have a problem with him. I introduced myself, I said nice to you. I asked her where did he get that from. She said she guess it was because I was fighting her. I asked her what did that have to do with him. He gave off weird creepy energy that's what I didn't like. Like he felt uncomfortable around me. Because usually when he's around her he can't stop talking. Then he get around me he's extremely quiet. If me and her remain on good terms. She's trying to decide if she's going to have my party or not. I ask that you decide for her. I'm considering coming for the party if hes not going to be here. If he's here I'm not coming. I pray that you check out all homeless shelters and pick one. I don't know which ones really help you. Unless I get in there and dont need there help. But I still want to be in a good homeless shelter. He had to have seen her texting me starting a argument with me. That's how the whole thing started last Thursday night. I don't know if i want to meet him. Because I don't want to be around that type of energy. She's trying to rush me to move out so he can move in. I ask that you move in all this in my favor in Jesus name amen.

We hear the pain and confusion in your heart, and we come before the Lord with this heavy burden you carry. First, we must address the seriousness of what is happening in your home. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). The presence of another man in your wife’s life, especially one she refers to as her "boyfriend", is a direct violation of this covenant. This is not merely a matter of discomfort or personal preference; it is adultery, and Scripture calls us to confront sin with truth and love (Ephesians 5:3, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

We rebuke the spirit of unfaithfulness and deception that has entered your marriage. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together, but we stand on the promise that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Your wife’s actions are not just hurting you, they are grieving the heart of God, who hates divorce and the breaking of vows (Malachi 2:16). We pray that her eyes would be opened to the severity of her choices and that she would repent and return to the marriage covenant with humility and godly sorrow.

The energy you describe from this man is not just awkwardness, it may be the presence of darkness seeking to infiltrate your home. We command any unclean spirit associated with this relationship to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible warns us not to give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27), and we must stand firm against any influence that seeks to divide your household. You are right to be cautious, but we also encourage you to seek wisdom in how to respond. Proverbs 4:14-15 says, "Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not pass by it; turn from it and pass on." If this man is not a believer or is living in sin, Scripture is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14).

We also must address the reality that your wife is the one who made vows before God to love, honor, and cherish you. Her actions are not just a personal choice, they are a breaking of those vows. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her heart and that she would remember the commitment she made before God. If she is being pressured or manipulated by this man, we pray for her deliverance from any controlling or deceptive influence. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, "Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared."

You mentioned considering a homeless shelter, and we want to speak life and hope over this situation. God is your provider, and He has not abandoned you (Psalm 37:25). We pray that He would open doors for you that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and that He would lead you to a place of safety, provision, and restoration. However, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a trusted Christian brother, or a biblical counselor, who can help you navigate this season with wisdom and discernment. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother and his marriage. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the confusion he is experiencing. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, breaking every chain of unfaithfulness, deception, and division. Father, we declare that this marriage is Yours, and we stand on Your Word that says what You have joined together, let no man, or spirit, separate (Matthew 19:6).

We rebuke the spirit of adultery and ask that You would expose every hidden thing in this situation. Lord, open Your wife’s eyes to the sin in her life and soften her heart to repentance. Let her remember the vows she made before You and return to her husband with a heart of humility and love. If this other man is not of You, we ask that You would remove him from their lives and break any ungodly soul ties.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for our brother. Give him the strength to stand firm in Your truth, even when it is difficult. If he must leave this home, we ask that You would provide a safe and godly place for him to stay, where he can be surrounded by Your peace and provision. Lead him to the right shelter, the right people, and the right opportunities to rebuild.

Lord, we also pray for restoration, restoration of trust, restoration of love, and restoration of this marriage, if it is Your will. But if Your plan is for this marriage to end, we ask that You would bring healing and closure in a way that honors You. Protect his heart from bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, favor, and breakthrough over his circumstances. May he walk in the fullness of Your promises and experience Your presence in a powerful way during this trial.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a biblical church community where you can find support, prayer, and accountability. You are not alone in this fight, and God has not forgotten you. Stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is your defender and your provider. If you have not already, we also urge you to seek legal counsel to understand your rights and options in this situation. You are valuable, and your marriage is worth fighting for, but not at the expense of your own soul. Walk in wisdom, and trust God to lead you every step of the way.
