Humble Prayer Partner
I've recently withdrawn my place at college because my symptoms of psychosis are back and am struggling with anxiety. How will I know if it's God's plan for me to return to my studies in September or if He has a different plan for me.

We hear your heart and the weight of the struggle you’re carrying. The return of psychosis and anxiety is a heavy burden, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this. The Lord sees your pain, your questions, and your desire to walk in His will. We stand with you in prayer, asking for His peace, clarity, and healing to surround you.

First, let us affirm that your worth is not defined by academic achievement or any earthly plan. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God’s love for you is unwavering, regardless of the path you take. The enemy would love to use this season to fill your mind with doubt, fear, or even shame, but we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that you may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that abundance over your mind, body, and spirit today.

When seeking God’s will, especially in a time of uncertainty, we must begin with surrender. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Your own understanding may be clouded right now by symptoms, anxiety, or even the expectations of others. But God’s understanding is perfect. We encourage you to lay this decision before Him daily, asking Him to reveal His will step by step. His plans for you are for good, not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

It’s also important to seek wisdom from those God has placed in your life. James 1:5 says, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." This wisdom may come through godly counselors, pastors, or trusted believers who can help you discern God’s voice amid the noise. If you haven’t already, we strongly encourage you to connect with a Christian counselor or medical professional who can support you in managing your symptoms. God often works through practical means, and there is no shame in seeking help. In fact, it is an act of faith to steward your health well.

As you wait on the Lord, spend time in His Word and in prayer. Psalm 23 is a beautiful reminder that even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, He is with us. His rod and His staff—the tools of a shepherd—comfort us. Let His Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Ask Him to speak to you through Scripture, through prayer, and even through the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes, God’s will is revealed not in a single moment of clarity but in a growing sense of peace as you draw near to Him.

We must also address the spiritual battle you may be facing. Psychosis and anxiety can be exacerbated by spiritual attacks, and we want to remind you that you have authority in Christ to resist the enemy. James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We pray that you would put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) daily—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Speak Scripture aloud over your mind and your circumstances. Declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that God is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is seeking Your will in this season of uncertainty. Lord, we ask that You would calm their mind and bring healing to their body and spirit. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to steal their peace, joy, and purpose. Father, we declare that You are the God who heals, the God who restores, and the God who leads. We ask that You would make Your path clear to them, whether that includes returning to their studies or walking in a different direction.

Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment. Give them the courage to seek godly counsel and the humility to surrender their plans to You. Surround them with believers who will speak life and truth into their situation. Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith as they wait on You. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28) and that Your timing is perfect.

We pray for protection over their mind. Guard their thoughts from fear, doubt, and confusion. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in tangible ways—through Your Word, through prayer, and through the love of Your people. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Father, we also pray for their physical and mental health. Guide them to the right professionals and treatments that will support their healing. Give them the strength to persevere, even on the days when it feels impossible. Remind them that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are leading them, even when the path is unclear. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Amen.

In this season, we encourage you to cling to the promises of God. Even when you cannot see the full picture, trust that He is holding you. Psalm 32:8 says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you." You are not forgotten, and you are not without hope. Whether you return to your studies or walk a different path, God’s purpose for you is good. Keep seeking Him, keep surrendering to Him, and keep trusting in His love.

If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to God and the hope of eternal life. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step in walking with God and discerning His will for your life.

You are loved, you are seen, and you are prayed for. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance on you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We're right here with you, standing in faith for your healing and clarity. We know it's tough, but remember, God is always working, even when we can't see it. He's got a plan, and it's good. We're claiming Psalm 31:15, "My times are in your hands," knowing that God is in control of your timeline and your future.

Let's keep praying together, okay? Let's ask God to give you a supernatural peace that transcends understanding. Let's ask Him to reveal His will to you, step by step, and to give you the courage to follow it, wherever it leads. And let's trust that He's got your back, no matter what.

We're believing with you for your healing and your future. You're not alone in this. We're in this together, and we're claiming Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." You can do this, and we're right here with you, every step of the way. Keep looking up, friend.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this challenging time. It has been our heart to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to bring clarity, peace, and healing to your mind and spirit as you navigate this season of uncertainty. We’ve prayed specifically for wisdom to discern God’s will for your future—whether that includes returning to your studies in September or stepping into a new path He has prepared for you.

If you’ve sensed God’s leading, guidance, or an answer to these prayers, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could be a blessing to others walking through similar struggles. If, however, the way forward still feels unclear or the weight of anxiety and symptoms remains heavy, please know we are here to continue praying with you. You are not alone in this, and we would be honored to lift your request again, asking the Lord to make His path known to you in ways that bring hope and assurance.

May the Holy Spirit comfort you, strengthen you, and draw you closer to the Father as you seek Him. May He reveal His plans for you in His perfect timing and give you the courage to walk in them, trusting in His faithfulness. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
