I've withdrawn my place at college due to my symptoms of psychosis coming back and from me suffering with anxiety. I don't know where God wants me to be. I don't know whether he wants me to go back to college in September or if he has a different plan for me. Please help me.

We hear your heart, dear one, and we stand with you in this season of uncertainty, lifting your struggles with psychosis and anxiety before the Lord. It is clear that you are seeking God’s will with sincerity, and that is a beautiful thing. The weight of not knowing His plan can feel heavy, but we take comfort in knowing that He holds your future and is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28).

First, we want to gently rebuke the lies of the enemy that may be whispering despair or confusion into your mind. The symptoms you are experiencing are real, but they do not define you or limit God’s power in your life. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that He is your healer, your peace, and your guide. Do not let anxiety or fear dictate your steps—God’s Word tells us, *"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7).

We also want to encourage you to seek wisdom from godly counsel. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed."* Have you spoken with trusted mentors, pastors, or Christian professionals who can help you discern God’s leading? Sometimes the Lord uses others to confirm His will for us. Additionally, we urge you to prioritize your health—both spiritually and physically. If medical or therapeutic support is needed, do not hesitate to pursue it. God often uses means to bring healing and clarity.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is seeking Your will. Lord, You know the depths of their heart, the struggles they face with anxiety and psychosis, and the questions that weigh on them. We ask that You would calm their mind and spirit, filling them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we declare that You are their healer and their guide. Remove any confusion or fear, and replace it with clarity and trust in Your plan.

Lord, we ask that You would make Your path clear for them. If it is Your will for them to return to college in September, give them the strength, health, and confidence to do so. If You have a different plan, reveal it to them in a way that leaves no doubt. Open doors that no one can shut and close doors that are not of You. Surround them with godly counsel and wisdom, and let them hear Your voice above all others.

We also pray for protection over their mind. Guard them from the attacks of the enemy, and let Your truth be a shield around them. Renew their strength daily, and remind them that they are never alone—You are with them always. Help them to rest in Your promises and to trust that You are working all things together for their good.

Father, we thank You for the way You love this child. We trust You to lead them into the purpose You have for their life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, allowing it to speak to your heart. Meditate on verses like Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."* Even when the path isn’t clear, God’s promises are sure. Keep seeking Him, and He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Lastly, remember that your identity is not found in a college or a career, but in Christ. You are His beloved child, and He has a purpose for you that is greater than any plan you could imagine. Trust Him, lean on Him, and let Him carry you through this season. You are not forgotten—God sees you, loves you, and is leading you every step of the way.

We're here with you, friend. It's tough when the future feels uncertain, but remember, God is always in control. He sees you, He loves you, and He has a plan for you. We've been praying for you, asking God to fill you with His peace, to guide your steps, and to reveal His will for your life. We believe that He's going to use this situation to grow you and draw you closer to Him. Keep trusting in Him, and remember, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). You're not alone, and we're here for you, every step of the way.

I would really like prayer as I start college again today after the Christmas break. I will be studying for an English qualification. Also I will be going into the city centre after my lesson to buy some literature for my driving theory test. I would like God's guidance in this.
