Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You are the Way, the Truth and the Life–the only Truth and the only Way. I thank You that You desire that I have truth in my inward parts and that I walk in the freedom that comes only from walking in the light of Your truth. Father, today I take a stand against any deception trying to take root in my life. I bind deception and lies right now in the Name of Jesus. I curse every attempt of the devil to get me to buy a lie. I refuse to be tempted to believe lies wrapped in truth and things that sound good or sound right, but do not line up with Your Word. I declare that I walk in love toward all people, which is a defense against deception. I ask, Lord, that when people–even proclaiming Christians–exalt new ideas over the Word of God, that I will be quick to recognize it–that I will look to Your Word for guidance and confirmation, not to man. I ask that every veil be removed from my eyes, that I will not be blinded by the opinions of others, by the thoughts and ideas of the world, but I will know the true voice of my Shepherd. Lord, I ask that You bring conviction upon me for any areas where I have fallen into believing a lie. Show me these areas, and bring them to my mind. I ask that You cause me to humble myself, repent and get back on the road of truth. Your Word says You set the captives free, and I declare today that I am free of deception. I praise You and thank You that You keep me safe in Your truth and that I will always have the desire to abide in You, no matter what persecution I may face. In Your Name, I pray. Amen.

We join with you in this powerful stand for truth and we thank you for coming boldly before the Father in the name of Jesus, for we know that it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

We agree with you that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him as declared in John 14:6. We praise God with you that He desires truth in our inward parts as it is written in Psalm 51:6, and that when we know the truth, the truth will make us free according to John 8:32. We stand with you against every scheme of the enemy, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness as taught in Ephesians 6:12, and we are called to put on the whole armor of God that we may stand against the wiles of the devil in Ephesians 6:11.

We take comfort that as His sheep we know His voice and we follow Him and a stranger we will not follow as promised in John 10:27. We rebuke together with you every spirit of deception, every lie wrapped in half truth, and every doctrine that exalts itself above the knowledge of God. We declare with you that every thought must be brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ as written in 2 Corinthians 10:5, and that we will test every spirit and every teaching against the Word of God, for the Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.

Father in the name of Jesus we thank You for Your truth that sanctifies us and keeps us. We ask You to remove every veil from our eyes and to give us discernment to recognize deception quickly, even when it comes through words that sound good or through those who profess Your name but do not abide in Your Word. We ask You to search us and convict us by Your Holy Spirit of any area where we have believed a lie, and give us grace to humble ourselves, to repent, and to return to the path of truth. We declare that whom the Son sets free is free indeed according to John 8:36, and we claim that freedom from deception over our lives today. Keep us walking in love and in the light, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and cause our desire to abide in You to grow stronger even in the face of persecution or pressure from the world. We bind every attempt of the enemy to sow confusion and we loose Your clarity, wisdom, and peace. Let Your Word be our final authority and our Shepherd's voice be the one we follow all the days of our lives. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in the Word daily, for deception thrives where the Word is neglected. Continue to walk in love toward all people, to stay in fellowship with mature believers who honor Scripture, and to pray for wisdom, for God gives wisdom liberally to those who ask Him. Be confident that He who has begun a good work in you will be faithful to keep you safe in His truth.

What you named about lies that sound good or partly true is so real. That is often how confusion works, and wanting to be quick to recognize it shows wisdom. We have found that discernment grows more like training than like trying hard in a moment. Small, steady habits of staying in the Word, staying in prayer, and staying honest with a few trusted believers who know you helps your heart learn to notice what lines up and what does not. Your willingness to be shown where you have believed something false and to turn from it is itself a strong protection, because humility keeps us teachable.

One gentle next step that may help is to give yourself a pause before you adopt a new idea, even one that sounds spiritual. Bring it to the Word, pray over it for a day or two, and talk it through with a mature pastor or friend who will be honest with you. That unhurried process often brings clarity without pressure.

Father, we lift our friend to you today. Thank you that you are truth and you love to lead us into truth. Remove any veil, guard their mind and heart, and give them peace as they walk with you. Keep them humble, teachable, and confident in your care, and lead them step by step in your light. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a faithful and needful prayer you have prayed, for there are two great powers in conflict in this world, and Satan makes earnest use of his hour to blind the eyes and to wrap a lie in a little truth that it may be more readily believed.

You have done well to take your stand upon the Word of God, for Holy Scripture is the standard of the Truth of God. To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no truth in them. Your Word is Truth. Buy the truth and sell it not. Buy all the truth. Do not pick and choose, but receive with meekness all that the Lord has revealed, and pray that it may be burned into your soul by the operation of the Holy Spirit.

You ask that every veil be removed and that you may know the true voice of your Shepherd. This is the Lord's own work, for the opening of our blind eyes and the pouring in of the Light of Truth are from Him, as when in the natural creation He said, Let there be light, and there was light. As you come to Holy Scripture, pray that you may grow in grace, and the Book will grow with you and grow upon you. Feed upon the promises, live upon them, believe them and act upon them, and in that way walk in the light of the Lord from day to day.

Remember also what the prophet says, Let him trust in the name of the Lord, and rely upon his God. There are seasons when the child of light walks in darkness and sees no light. In such times we are not to kindle our own fire, but to trust in the name of the Lord and stay upon our God. Such darkness will humble you, and this will be a choice blessing, for it teaches a constant sense of dependence, daily drawing all supplies from Him and gratefully admitting that it is so. Walk humbly with God, for this is both a test of salvation and a symptom of spiritual health.

You rightly declare that you desire to walk in love and in light. Hear the apostle's word, If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin. Take care to understand it rightly. We are to be in the light as God is in the light for quality, but not for equality. And our walking in the light does not cleanse us from sin. Not at all. We are as much sinners in the light as in the darkness if it were possible to be in the light without being washed in the blood. It is the blood, and the blood alone, that cleanses. Walking in the light is perseverance in obedience and continuance in service, forsaking all pretence and living in real earnest before God.

Therefore continue to ask the Lord to show you any area where you have believed a lie, to grant you humility to repent and to set your feet again upon the road of truth. There is no place where Truth can be found in its power and life, except in Jesus Christ. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and there is salvation in no other. Truth is in His blood to wash away what is false in you, and truth is in His Spirit to eradicate what is dark and vile in you. Come to Christ, abide in Him, and trust in Him whom the Father has sent.

I pray for you that the Lord will keep you safe in His truth, that you will look to His Word for guidance and confirmation and not to man, that you will be kept from every deception, and that you will have grace to abide in Christ whatever persecution may come, walking in the light and washed in the blood until He brings you into that righteous nation which keeps the truth and enters in through the gates.

Your prayer for truth and freedom in Christ is good and right, and I give thanks for the hunger God has placed in your heart. Jesus alone is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and there is salvation in no other name. To ask for truth in the inward parts and to walk in the light as He is in the light is exactly what the Lord desires for His people, and He delights to answer that prayer.

You have taken a wise and biblical stand to test everything by the Word of God rather than by the opinions of people or by ideas that sound good but do not line up with Scripture. The Scriptures warn that there are seducing spirits and teachings that can sound spiritual yet lead away from the faith, and for that reason God calls us to discern what is truly from His Spirit and what is not. The safest path is the one you have named, to abide in Christ daily, to remain in His Word, to walk in love toward all people, and to hold fast to what is true. When truth shines forth it exposes what is false, and it keeps us from being carried away.

I join my prayer with yours now. Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for this heart that longs to walk in Your truth. Remove every veil from their eyes and grant clear discernment to recognize what agrees with Your Word and what does not. By Your Spirit bring conviction where any lie has been believed, grant humility to repent and to return quickly to the road of truth, and give strength to abide in You even under pressure or persecution. Guard them from lies wrapped in partial truth, help them to know the true voice of the Shepherd and to follow Him alone, and keep them safe in Your truth.
