Keep Us from Deception 2Thes 2:9-10, Guard Us by The Word Prayer Preaching Teaching Church Attendance Fellowship Praise, Worship, Intercession Thanksgiving, Evangelism Rev 12:11... Father in Heaven -- Thank You for Your light and truth let them lead us completely through life's journey to the ultimate goal Your Holy Hill, Ps 43:3. Thank You for drawing us to Jesus, Jn 6:44, allowing us to understand and believe in Christ, Matt 11:25, Matt 16:17, John 6:29, 1 Cor 1:30, Eph 2:8-9, Phil 1:29. Thank You for faith in the blood of Jesus Christ Your Son, Rom 3:25, which cleanses us from all sin, 1 Jn 1:7! Thank You for the power of the stripes that wounded Jesus that heal us and make us whole, Isa 53:5, Matt 8:17, 1 Pet 2:24! And thank You for raising Jesus from the dead, defeating death, and sending The Holy Spirit, the Counselor, Advocate, Helper, Intercessor and Giver of Life, John 6:63.

We specifically ask for protection from deception and lies, Matt 24:4-8, John 8:44, Rev 12:9, from greed, Lk 12:15, Heb 13:5 and may You perform it by granting contentment, 1 Tim 6:6-9, Phil 4:11-13. Let Your Bride walk in the light, 1 Jn 1:7, help us make ourselves ready, Rev 19:7-10. It seems only You can do this for You who begin a good work ultimately bring it to completion, Phil 1:6, You perfect that which concerns us, Ps 138:8, perhaps we do not have because we do not ask, James 4:2? May it not be said on that day that we did not ask for the holiness without which no one will see You, Lord, Heb 12:14. Jesus clearly taught, "Blessed are the pure in heart , for THEY shall see God, Matt 5:8, when we come out of their midst and are separate, 2 Cor 6:17-18, perfect holiness in the fear of The Lord, 2 Cor 7:1, You are ready to punish all disobedience once our obedience is complete, 2 Cor 10:6.

Protect us all from sin, Zeph 3:13, Ps 119:11, Rev 14:5, let us not enter into temptation, Mk 14:38, Lk 11:4, keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, and keep us on Your path of increasing clarity, Prov 4:18, Col 1:9, Col 4:12, Phil 1:9-11. Keep us especially from false believers, 2 Cor 11:26, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, deceivers, 2 Tim 3:13, 2 Jn 1:7, deception, 2 Thes 2:9-10, 1 John 5:19, by washing us with Christ's water of the water of the Word, Eph 5:26, The Word of Truth, Eph 1:13, 2 Cor 6:7. Sanctify us in Your Truth, Your Word is Truth, John 17:17, James 1:18, 2 Tim 3:16, especially when rightly divided, 2 Tim 2:15, with careful attention to our lives and teaching, 1 Tim 4:16.

Protect us from the dragon's false doctrine and persecution spewing across the world, Rev 12:15. Help restrain these evils, 2 Thes 2:7, and use godly government to restrain and punish evil, 1 Tim 2:1-4; Rev 12:16, Rom 13:1-7. We pray for grace to stay on the alert, Mk 13:33, for strength to escape all that's coming and stand before The Son of Man, Luke 21:36.

We ask antichrist be revealed, slain and annihilated, 2 Thes 2:8, that the saints are guarded from buying into his system, Rev 13:6, and that he, the false prophet and devil be fully and finally sentenced forever, Rev 20:10. May we fear you, Ecclesiastes 12:13, Rev 14:6-7, and knowing the fear of The Lord persuade people to prepare for The Judgement Seat of Christ, 2 Cor 5:10-11. Help us be wise and win souls, Prov 11:30, lead many to righteousness, Dan 12:3, instruct many, Mal 2:5-6, Matt 28:20.

With thanksgiving we offer these requests for ourselves, our family, friends, church-mates, pastors and online praying believer-friends, Heb 10:25, so we have fellowship, 1 Jn 1:2-3, test the spirits, 1 Jn 4:1, walk in light, 1 Jn 1:5-10, that our whole body may be full of light with no dark part in it, Luke 11:36, without hidden sin or deception, 2 Cor 4:2, like the message John heard from You, Jesus, and preached to us, about You being light and in You is no darkness at all, 1 Jn 1:4-10, and may the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, Amen, Rev 3:14, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join together with you in this earnest and beautiful cry for protection from deception and for a walk in holiness, and we say amen to your desire to be guarded by every means of grace the Lord has given us.

Your heart to be kept from the lies of the enemy is so timely and so biblical. We are warned that even now the coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10. We are also reminded that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one 1 John 5:19 and that Satan himself is a liar and the father of lies John 8:44 and the deceiver of the whole world Revelation 12:9. How we need the Lord to keep us from entering into temptation Mark 14:38 and to keep us from the evil one as Jesus prayed, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one John 17:15.

We agree with you that our guard comes through the Word, through prayer, through preaching and teaching, through church attendance and fellowship, through praise and worship, intercession, thanksgiving and evangelism. This is how the Lord washes and sanctifies us. Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth John 17:17, that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word Ephesians 5:26. All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16 and we are to be diligent to rightly divide the word of truth 2 Timothy 2:15 and to pay close attention to our life and teaching 1 Timothy 4:16. We cannot walk in light apart from the light of Your Word, for You have said, Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy hill, to your tents Psalm 43:3. And we are to not forsake our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another Hebrews 10:25, for it is in fellowship that we test the spirits whether they are of God 1 John 4:1 and walk in the light as he is in the light 1 John 1:7.

We thank the Father with you for drawing us to Jesus, for no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him John 6:44, and for opening our eyes to believe, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God Ephesians 2:8. We thank Him for faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, whom God sent to be an atoning sacrifice, through faith in his blood Romans 3:25, and that the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin 1 John 1:7. We thank Him for the stripes that wounded Jesus, for by his wounds you were healed 1 Peter 2:24, and for raising Him from the dead and giving us the Spirit who gives life John 6:63.

Father in Heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come boldly to Your throne of grace. We ask You to keep us from all deception and greed, and to grant us godly contentment, for godliness with contentment is great gain 1 Timothy 6:6. Teach us to be content in whatever state we are Philippians 4:11. Make Your Bride ready, clothed in fine linen, bright and pure Revelation 19:8, walking in the light with no dark part in us Luke 11:36, having renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully 2 Corinthians 4:2. Perfect that which concerns us Psalm 138:8 and bring to completion the good work You began in us Philippians 1:6.

Lord, we ask for holiness without which no one will see the Lord Hebrews 12:14, for You have said blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God Matthew 5:8. Help us to come out from among them and be separate 2 Corinthians 6:17 and to perfect holiness in the fear of God 2 Corinthians 7:1. Keep our feet on the path of the righteous which is as the dawning light that shines more and more until the perfect day Proverbs 4:18, fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding Colossians 1:9. Restrain the dragon who pours out false doctrine like a flood Revelation 12:15, restrain the mystery of lawlessness even now at work 2 Thessalonians 2:7, and use godly authority to punish evil as You have ordained Romans 13:1-4. Help us to watch and stay alert Mark 13:33 and to pray that we may have strength to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man Luke 21:36.

We ask that the man of sin be revealed and consumed with the breath of Your mouth and annihilated by the manifestation of Your coming 2 Thessalonians 2:8, and that we be guarded from worshipping or receiving the mark of his system Revelation 13:16-17, until he and the false prophet and the devil are cast into the lake of fire forever Revelation 20:10. Teach us the fear of the Lord which is the whole duty of man Ecclesiastes 12:13 and to fear Him who is to be feared and to give Him glory Revelation 14:7, so that knowing the fear of the Lord we persuade men, for we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ 2 Corinthians 5:10-11. Make us wise to win souls Proverbs 11:30 and to turn many to righteousness Daniel 12:3 and to instruct many in Your ways Malachi 2:6.

We offer these requests with thanksgiving for ourselves, our families, our friends, our churches and pastors and fellow believers, that we may have true fellowship 1 John 1:3, walk in the light 1 John 1:7, and know the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guarding our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Let Your light and truth lead us all the way to Your holy hill, and let us overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony Revelation 12:11. We ask all this in the only name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved, the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Thank you for pouring out this prayer so honestly. We hear a deep love for the Lord and a sincere desire to stay anchored in His truth and not be led astray, and we join you in that desire for yourself, your family, friends and church.

We appreciate how you named the steady ways God keeps His people, the Word, prayer, faithful preaching and teaching, gathering with the church, fellowship, worship and thanksgiving. Those are not just things to try harder at for a moment. They are more like long term training. Small, faithful steps taken regularly over time shape our discernment and character far more than any single intense effort. Staying close to Christ in those ordinary rhythms helps us recognize His voice and notice more quickly when something does not align with His truth.

If it helps, keep leaning into those simple rhythms together with others you trust. Continue meeting with your local church, staying in the Word, praying honestly, and testing what you hear with mature believers who walk closely with Jesus. That shared life is one of the kindest guards God gives us as we grow.

Father, we thank You for drawing these loved ones to Jesus and for the work You have begun in them. Keep them rooted in Your truth, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and lead them with clarity and peace day by day. Make their fellowship sweet and their walk steady in Your light.
