Father God I pray for my anxiety right now. The more I try to let go and let God take control the more I lose control and I start to worry about all sorts of things. I believe I will be good because my God saves me. I need God's peace now. Flush out anything that isn't from Jesus. I'm better but at times the emotions come back. I declare the name of Jesus in my life. I'm blessed. I'm thankful for all that I have. I believe this is just an emotion. But I ask God to give me clarity to differentiate what's true and what's not.

We hear your heart and we stand with you in this battle with anxiety, and we thank God that you have declared the name of Jesus over your life and that you are choosing gratitude even in the midst of worry. It is a very real struggle when you try to let go and let God take control and yet feel like you are losing control even more, but we want to remind you that God is not disappointed in you for feeling this way, He invites you to bring it all to Him.

The Word tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We are also told to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 Your desire for His peace is exactly what He wants to give you, for Jesus said Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. John 14:27

We understand what you mean when you say you are better but at times the emotions come back. Emotions are real but they are not always truth, and we love that you asked God for clarity to differentiate what is true and what is not. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 Anxiety is not from Him, and that feeling of losing control does not mean He has lost control. He promises You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 That steadfast mind is built as we bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 When a worry rises, we can gently test it against what God says is true, noble, right and pure, and we replace the lie with His truth through prayer and His Word.

We rejoice that you know you will be good because your God saves you, and that you declare you are blessed. That thankfulness is powerful, and we encourage you to keep practicing that thanksgiving in prayer, even with small things, and to stay in the Word daily so your mind is renewed and you can more quickly recognize what is from Jesus and what is just an anxious emotion passing through.

We pray together now for you. Father God, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus. We thank You that You save and that You care deeply for every worry. We ask You to pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Flush out anything that is not from You, every spirit of fear and confusion and every lying thought, and fill this place with Your presence, Your power, love and self-control. Give clarity to discern what is true and what is not, and help to take every anxious thought captive to the obedience of Christ. When emotions rise again, be the steady anchor and remind this heart that You are in control and You are good. We declare the name of Jesus over this life and we thank You that You are faithful to keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on You. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun. We hear how hard you are trying to trust God with this anxiety, and how discouraging it feels when letting go seems to make the worry louder instead of quieter. Thank you for sharing that so honestly.

What you described makes sense to us. Wanting to give control to God while still feeling responsible to hold everything together can create a lot of tension inside, and emotions often do come back in waves even when your faith is steady and you know you are blessed and thankful. Feeling that wave does not mean you have failed or that your faith isn't real. Learning to tell the difference between what you feel in the moment and what is true before God takes time, and it is good you are asking Him for that clarity.

When those feelings rise again, it can help to pause for a moment and quietly name both parts, this is what I am feeling right now, and this is what I know is true about God's care for me, and then bring both to Him in a simple, honest prayer. It can also help to share those moments with one trusted person who knows you, so you are not carrying the worry alone. If the anxiety feels frequent or heavy and keeps interfering with rest or daily life, please consider talking with a pastor or counselor or medical professional alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see the desire for Your peace and the weariness when emotions surge. Give calm in place of worry, clear sight to tell feelings from truth, and steady assurance of Your nearness. Keep drawing this heart to rest in Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen.

The Lord has heard the honest cry of your heart in this season of anxiety, and we join our prayers with yours before the throne of grace.

You speak of trying to let go and yet feeling more worry, of emotions that return even when you know yourself blessed in Christ. This is the common struggle of the mind, which as Scripture says will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war, according to where it is stayed. The promise given to us is, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That peace is not found in trying harder to control your thoughts, but in staying your mind upon the Person and finished work of Jesus Christ.

You have done well to declare the name of Jesus over your life, for there is no other name whereby we are saved and no other foundation for peace with God. Peace with God is the treaty made by His blood, and peace in the conscience is the publication of it. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and it is a peace which God the Father gives, which Christ has bought, and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul. Do not seek after peace first. Seek after Christ first, and peace will come next. It is peace in believing, a filling peace and a well founded peace, not a mere lull of anxiety or blindness to danger, but the unruffled calm of the Eternal Son Himself given to His people.

In your desire to let God take control, hear also the call to an unconditional surrender. Fling wide the gates of the city of Mansoul and admit Prince Emanuel to rule as sole sovereign in every street. Surrender yourself at discretion to His method of operating upon you. This is submission to God, the true surrender of every proud pretension, to say, Father, let Your good pleasure be done in me, in Your time and in Your way. When you do so, He gives you His hand and says, Go in peace, there is peace between me and thee.

And concerning that worry which unfits you to meet the very difficulty you fear, our Savior says, do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent and do your best with what is given you, but when you have done your best, do not wring your hands. The very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Bear your sorrow with Him, stay your mind on Him, and you will find that on Jesus bosom nothing but calm is found, even with sorrows surging round.

We pray for you now, that the God of all peace would bless you with His own peace, the peace that passes all understanding. Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone, that You would keep our dear one in perfect peace as their mind is stayed on You. Wash away by the blood of Christ all that is not from You, quiet the troubling emotions, and grant clarity to discern what is true according to Your Word and what is the whisper of fear. Renew Your peace within, teach complete trust and full surrender, and let the heart rest in doing the will of Jesus, for to do His will is rest. Keep them in Your keeping, and let them know that being reconciled to You through Christ, they are safe and held fast. Amen.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
