Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and we are joining with you before the Lord in this season of new responsibility.
We pray that God will lift the weight of anxiety that presses on you and give you the peace that Christ Himself promises, not merely the absence of outward trouble but peace within, where the heart is at rest with Him. Scripture calls us to bring everything to God in prayer with thanksgiving, and promises that His peace which passes all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We ask Him to guard you in that way as you begin this new work, to calm the inner war of anxious thoughts and to replace it with quiet confidence in His care.
We also pray as you asked, that He will help you fulfill the job He has given you with honesty and faithfulness. To live in godliness and honesty is good and acceptable before God our Savior, and we ask that He will strengthen you to work with integrity, diligence and a clear conscience, for His glory.
We pray that He will grant you not only relief from fear but also real joy and even excitement as you step into this calling, and that He will have mercy on your body. We ask the Lord to ease the nausea and to prevent vomiting, to settle your stomach and steady your nerves, so that anxiety does not overwhelm you physically. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you, and trust that He who has placed you in this work will also equip and sustain you day by day.
We will continue to pray for you, that the Lord will fill you with His peace, strengthen you for honest labor, and let you experience His joy and presence in the days ahead. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
