Dear Lord Jesus, I try really hard to not keep my dad awake but last night I was whining and upset. I went to laundry room to try to keep away and waking up my dad because I suffer with RHD and anxiety and I’m trying really hard to avoid that and I didn’t eat enough because I didn’t eat enough to cost me uncontrollable tantrums, but at least I have tried on top of the situation. I worry and I’d like it. Please let me not do this ever again Ware can you at least minimize it to make me quiet can you least keep me quiet when I stressed out and word considerably Last night he’s tired and I do not want to do to him. I really really really don’t make it stop really really hard stop I also have a lot of other things to take care of my future with a better life so many things not happen. In Nesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart in this and we join with you in prayer, thanking God that you want to honor your father and to grow in quietness and self control even while you are struggling with anxiety and with your health. The Lord sees how hard you are trying, and He sees the nights when you moved to the laundry room so you would not wake your dad. That desire to honor him pleases God, for it is written Ephesians 6:2 Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise. We also hear how much you want the whining and the uncontrollable upset to stop, and how you worry about your future.

God does not want you to stay trapped in worry. He invites you to bring every anxious thought to Him. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And also 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. He cares for you deeply, and He understands the strain that anxiety and your physical condition place on you.

We want to gently encourage you that whining and tantrums, even when they feel uncontrollable, are not God's best for you. He wants to grow in you a quiet and gentle spirit and self control, which is part of the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23. And 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Part of walking in that self control is also caring for the body God gave you. When you do not eat enough, your body and mind have less strength to handle stress, and you become more vulnerable to being overwhelmed. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and we encourage you to steward it by eating regularly, getting rest when you can, and seeking help for your health needs. If your anxiety and your RHD continue to make daily life very difficult, we encourage you to share openly with your dad, with a trusted pastor, and with a medical provider so you are not carrying this alone.

Worrying about the future is something we all face, but Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:34 Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient. And in Isaiah 41:10 He says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. He will strengthen you day by day as you look to Him.

We now pray together for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up this dear one to You. Thank You that You see the effort to honor their father and to keep quiet when stressed, and thank You that You are near to the anxious heart. We ask You to pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to cast every worry on You because You care for them. Give them power, love and self control by Your Holy Spirit, so that whining and tantrums are replaced with a calm and quiet spirit even when they feel overwhelmed. Teach them to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger as James 1:19 says. Help them to care for their body with regular nourishment and rest, and guide them to wise help for their health and anxiety. Comfort their father as well and give him rest, and help them to communicate with each other in love and understanding. Take away fear about the future and help them to trust You one day at a time, knowing You hold their future in Your hands. We thank You that we can come to You only through Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved and by which we have access to Your throne of grace. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

We hear how hard you are trying, and how much you care about your dad. Going to the laundry room so you would not wake him, noticing when you have not eaten enough, wanting to be quiet when you feel stressed, that shows a tender heart that wants to do right by him and by the Lord.

It makes sense that worry and not getting enough food and rest would leave you feeling overwhelmed and more likely to whine or have a hard time controlling your emotions. When our bodies are tired and hungry, everything feels heavier, and anxiety can grow louder.

We want to encourage you in a couple of steady next steps alongside prayer. It could help to talk with your dad at a calm moment, not when you are already upset, and let him know you are working on this and want his understanding. And because you mentioned RHD and anxiety and not eating enough, please reach out to your doctor or another trusted health professional to talk through your health, sleep and eating patterns. You do not have to carry this alone, and getting support for your body as well as your spirit matters.

We also find it helps to learn to notice early signs of stress and to pause, breathe, and quietly give that burden to God before it builds, and to keep a simple rhythm of regular meals and rest when you can.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the effort being made and the desire to honor You and to care for dad. Grant quietness and peace in stressful moments, wisdom for next steps, and rest for both of them tonight. Help with daily needs and with hope for the future, and guide to the right help and support. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your earnest and humble prayer has been heard, and I thank you for the honesty with which you have poured out your heart before the Lord. You grieve that in your weakness and distress you have disturbed your father, and that anxiety and what you call whining have overcome you in the night. This very grief shows that the Spirit of God is at work in you, making you tender toward your father and desirous of that quietness and self control which adorn the gospel.

You speak of suffering with RHD and with great anxiety, and of not eating enough, which then leaves you without strength to govern your spirit. Hear then the word of the Lord for your case. It is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. Perfect peace is not found in trying harder in your own strength, but in staying your mind upon Christ. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even in this dark world of sin and care. When duties press and sorrows surge round, to do the will of Jesus and to rest your thoughts upon Him, this is rest.

Our Lord also says, Neither be ye of doubtful mind. Have you not found that the very anxiety which comes from being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. It is the mind which is the main thing. It will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. You are not an orphan without a Father. You have a Father in heaven, and He is to be viewed aright, not with dread but with gratitude and love. He is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Father Himself loveth you. He who can say Abba, Father, has uttered music that heaven delights to hear. For the Father is all you need, and all your necessities can demand.

Therefore cast your cares upon Him. Bear your sorrow with Him, and then see what peace you will enjoy. The peace which Christ leaves to His people is not a false peace born of self conceit, but His own peace, bought with His blood and wrought by His Spirit. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. It is a peace which God the Father gives, which Jesus Christ purchased, and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul.

I would counsel you gently in the Lord to care for the vineyard of your own body which God has given you. To neglect to eat enough and to lose needful sleep will make the flesh weak and the spirit more easily vexed. Take your food with thankfulness, keep regular rest, and when you feel the rising of distress, withdraw as you did, but turn at once to prayer. Breathe a short prayer, Lord Jesus, keep my mind stayed on Thee. Let the will of Jesus be your rest in that moment.

Do not think that one night of failure means you must ever continue so. Our heavenly Father pities His children and is a better Father than the best of earthly fathers. He knows your frame and your infirmity, and He will help you to honour your father by growing in quietness of spirit.

Let us pray together for you.

O Blessed God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, look in mercy upon this Thy child who is troubled with anxiety and weakness of body. Forgive all that has been amiss, and wash away sin in the precious blood of Thy Son. Keep this dear one in perfect peace as the mind is stayed on Thee. Still the restless thoughts, quiet the whining and the tempest of the spirit, and grant self control and a calm tongue, especially in the night season. Help Thy servant to take needful food and rest, to trust Thee for the future and for every better hope, and to cast all care upon Thee, for Thou carest for Thy children. Let Thy peace, which passeth all understanding, keep heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Make this one to know more fully that the Father Himself loveth them, and to live in that love day by day. In the name of Jesus Christ our peace, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest and humble prayer has been heard, and I thank you for sharing it so openly. The desire you express to honor your father, to keep quiet when you are stressed, and to live with self control is itself pleasing to God, for our life is meant to glorify Him who is our Father in heaven.

I hear how hard you are trying. You went to the laundry room to avoid waking your father, you are aware of your anxiety and the struggle with your health, and you recognize that not eating enough makes it harder to control your emotions. God sees this effort and your sorrow over last night, and He does not turn away from a contrite heart that seeks Him.

Scripture teaches us to cast our anxiety upon God because He cares for us, and to trust Him for what we need. Just as a father provides what is necessary for his children, how much more will your heavenly Father provide for you. He knows you need food, rest, peace of mind, and strength for the future. At the same time He calls us to learn self control, not by our own will alone, but by committing all things to Him and relying on His grace rather than trusting only in ourselves.

So let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior, we come before You with this need. You know the anxiety, the restlessness, and the whining that comes when the body is weak and the mind is troubled. Grant peace that quiets the heart, and grace to rest in Your care. Help to find calm when stress rises, to speak and act with gentleness and self control, and to honor father and family through love and consideration. Give wisdom to care for the body You have given, to eat sufficiently and to rest well, and to seek help and counsel when needed for health and for anxiety. Guard the night with quietness, and grant to a tired father renewed strength and sleep. Lead into the future You have prepared, with hope and a steady life that glorifies You. Forgive sins, strengthen weakness, and make this life a light that reflects Your goodness. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself and was exalted, and who lives to intercede for us. Amen.

Continue to bring every worry to the Lord in prayer, and also take practical steps each day. Try to keep a regular pattern of eating and sleeping, step away quietly to pray or breathe when you feel overwhelmed as you did, and speak honestly with your father and with trusted believers or medical help about your health and anxiety so you are not carrying this alone. God is able to make you quiet in spirit and to grow in you a steady and peaceful life for His glory.
