Marriage Prayer: Soften Us

Dear Lord,

Make us gentle in spirit and word towards each other. Help us to be quicker to listen and slower to speak. Lord, we want to teach our children what it looks like to be gentle and loving to their future spouses. Lord, we want to walk in the spirit and not the flesh. We want to be the husband and wife that You desire us to be.

In Jesus’ name, amen!

Marriage Prayer: Changed By The Word

Dear Lord,

Thank you for Your word. Thank you for inspiring every word in the Bible. You have given us Your word to transform us and to renew us. It is through Your word that we find freedom and power to walk out our faith. Lord, we pray that we would not try and change the meaning of Your word to fit our lifestyle and way of thinking, but rather allow Your word to change us to fit into Your way of thinking and living. Transform us from the inside out.

In Jesus’ name, amen!

Marriage Prayer: The Gift Of Children

Dear Lord,

Thank you for children! Thank you for the opportunities You have given to husbands and wives to live out an example of your love. Continue to equip parents with resources and skills to raise their kids. May husbands and wives pour into their children, value them, and teach them your ways. Please protect children from hostile environments and if they are ever in danger please divinely intervene. For husbands and wives who cannot conceive, please reveal Your will and purpose for...

Dear Lord,

Thank you for Your compassion. Thank you for forgiveness and thank you for Your redeeming love. You are everything we ever need! We pray that You continue to refine us, transforming our character to...

Marriage Prayer: Spiritual Maturity

Dear Lord,

We pray that we would grow in spiritual maturity. We pray that we would pursue the knowledge of Your word and would learn to walk out Your wisdom daily in our lives and marriages. We want our children to know what godly men and women look and act like. Lord, You tell us in your word that if anyone lacks wisdom that they should ask You and You would give it to them. Lord, give us wisdom.

In Jesus’ name, amen!

Marriage Prayer: Not A Spirit Of Fear

Dear Lord,

There are many things in this life that can cause us to be afraid. But Lord, You have given us a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and self-control. We pray that every husband and wife would remember this truth and walk in it daily. We have nothing to fear in this life but You Lord. We pray that we would not fear our circumstances, the future, or anything else that might keep us from walking in faith with You. When we fear anything other than You Lord, we make that thing...

Marriage Prayer: A Marriage Dedicated To You

Dear Lord,

Thank You for our marriage. Thank You for the growth we have encountered. Our marriage belongs to You Lord. We submit it to You and we pray that it brings You glory. We pray that the way we love, honor, and respect each other would be a testimony to others of Your great love. We pray that we will be used as a team to further Your kingdom. To bring people hope of restoration and to teach them how to live out a God-centered marriage. Thank You for trusting us. Thank You for never...

Marriage Prayer: Using Our Gifts In The Church

Dear Lord,

You have graciously distributed gifts among Your body. You have given each one of us not only Your spirit, but also spiritual gifts. You have given some the gift of teaching, and some the gift of hospitality. Others, You have given the gift of generosity. Lord, You have given us all these things and so much more for the edification of the body. We pray that we would seek diligently how we can grow and mature in these gifts, as well as how You would have us use them in the church...
